Disney thought an episode of Peter Parker turning into a spider would be too scary but okay with Dr Strange being a mutated hybrid.
We didn’t say they were smart
IKR that was my most hyped episode
They're literally doing marvel zombies as well, 🤦♂️
Theirs a comic where he actually does turn into a spider but he’s a kid with and abusive uncle who gets bit and becomes a spider/ sadistic serial killer, who webs up Mary Jane and eats her.

They say actors struggle with voice acting. Seems Benedict is the goat.

@@Vor567tez Don’t forget Josh Brolin and Chadwick Boseman
Benedict Cumberbatch does have experience with voice acting. He was the voice of Smaug in The Hobbit.
I think it is a bit rough in the first half. By the second half, he gets much better and the acting for evil strange seems much better
Well he is an "actor" so duh...
(Arguably) the most powerful version of Strange, yet the most powerless as the same time
Quite poetic
The universe destroyed his heart and he destroyed the universe. Only a lose-lose.
He's definitely the most powerful strange rn but confined
ironic...
The most powerful version of Steven Strange is the Black Priest Doctor Strange. He is essentially a multiversal being with access to magic that would place him on the same level as the Beyonder and the Living Tribunal (beings of multiversal levels of power). The Infinity Stones would mean nothing to that particular version of Strange, as he would simply revert time to before they were found, telekinetically rip the stones away, or simply warp them to another reality with nothing more than a few words. Or none. He got pretty terrifying. The only beings I can think of in Marvel that could stand up to him are: Heart of the Universe Thanos, Astral Regulator Thanos, Protege, and one or two characters I'm forgetting. As far as DC goes, the Presence, Lucifer Morningstar, his brother Michael, a few of the more powerful versions of Doctor Fate, Superman, and Darkseid could probably do it. Possibly Emperor Joker.
The "no no no no" was so fucking heartbreaking. This Strange was a monster, and I still can't help but feel terrible about his end. Alone forever, in a tiny speck of nothingness, begging to an empty void for forgiveness.
He wasn't a monster. In many ways he's all too human. How often do we wish we had the power to save those we care about? Like The Ancient One said, he's not evil just misguided.
And since there's clips of him fighting alongside Captain Carter it's safe to say he will get a redemption arc.
@@Webshooters1 Do all these eps follow the same timeline? Or are they their own self contained stories? Because if so, that could be another Dr. Strange

Just to pile on the depression, Christine probably thought she was in Hell when she was brought back. She woke up in an unfamiliar place, broken and tormented in ways not possible, held in the arms of a demonic monster of unfathomable horror that is ALSO claiming to be the man she loved, with the world she knew vanishing not moments later when another god-like being refuses to save them.
What else would that place be if not Hell to those who had no context to the story?
A nightmare since people wouldn’t want to believe it
It doesn't matter what she saw, she doesn't exist anymore
Dr. Strange created his own hell and prison.
Omg that is dark
@@alfredohumberto2222 Well, there is an afterlife in Marvel
Feels kind of like What If allows the writers to essentially cut loose and tell whatever dark stories they want. Since it doesn't have to tie to the movies, they can't make up whatever they want. No restrictions.
well, yeah. They can literally do anything, go anywhere, tell any story...
like you said: no restrictions, no holding back.
I'm liking this series so far because we're seeing some of the dark permeating from within the Marvel Universe.
Ego found Peter without Yondu's intervention and now he'll use him to end the world.
Hank Pym killed the avengers because he lost Janet. We saw that... we watched Earth's mightiest heroes fall before they could rise.
and then this episode, we watched Doctor Strange, Sorcerer supreme, absorb all of the energy from countless beings to bring back the woman he loved and it cost him absolutely everything. He's forever stuck in a single speck of reality, drifting through the multiverse and the only one who had the power to help him, denied him that help.
I genuinely hope it only gets darker from here.
@@mitchwinchester Well Marvel Zombies and Ultron Vision are coming so I’d say your expectations will be satisfied.
I have a feeling they're setting up these characters for future marvel multiverse movies.
M content restrictions. Sadly-
Of course not, they were planning a What If Spider-Man turned into Man-Spider but Disney said no no.
That ending hit like a ton of bricks. For a second I was like, “Yes! The Watcher is going to intervene and save the world!” And then the Watcher is like, “Nah…” this is darker than infinity war, in a way. In this reality, we know nobody is going to be brought back.
And all of this was done by a hero.
The worst part is that he will be back. This is a setup for Multiverse of Madness, atleast in my eyes.

@Mesh Kimesh I think that scene is a nod to Wanda in the upcoming movie multiverse of madness..Wanda using the darkhold will do something similar to bring her kids back along with destroying the universe.Just my hypothesis maybe Wanda is a mirror image of this doctor strange in her reality
I’m pretty sure it was just because it was enhanced by his powers. It’s the same color as his powers, and so I believe he just applied his power to the Time Stone to empower it enough to reverse an absolute point in time.
That "no no no" and "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry" hits hard. The voice acting is top level. The cracking voice of beniddict cucumber makes me cry. This is my favorite episode of the series.
At the end, he saw the errors of his ways, and was willing to be punished to save everything and everyone else.
Unfortunately, it was too little too late.
@@B-rex395 sadly.

One decision could change your life. Deep stuff in real life
But hey there is a multiverse in where your life went great
Things just got out of hand 😂
@Adrian a cautionary tale about not living in the past or trying to undo what can't be undone, as that will undo you. While Strange did succeed in doing the impossible; bringing Christine back, the cost was very very heavy and she was only brought back for a few moments (which were probably the most horrifying of her life; seeing a twisted version of her love, the destruction if reality all around and enduring another horrible demise).
It's interesting to see that The Watcher has some form of morals and desire. It's not just an omniscient being, it vocalised strong distain for Strange's actions and expressed it would interfere if it could or permitted but doesn't or cant. I wonder if we'll learn about The Watcher's creation or being.

Dr. Christine Palmer's death was a canon event
A fine example that not all "What If" stories end happily ever after.
All the episodes ended not happily. Peggy lost half of her life, T’Challa’s universe is about to get screwed due to Ego and Stephen destroyed his universe. The only one that had a semi-happy ending was Fury finding Steve and calling Carol.

This was my favorite episode. It was so tragic and so character driven, and had arguably the highest stakes. It was a pretty simple and straight forward tale of a man who just wanted to bring his love back, and we see the literal monster it turned him into along with the final destruction it led to. All of the other What If episode had a lighter tongue in cheek tone. But this one felt so much more powerful.

I have never seen the possibility of changing an Absolute point in time in any movie or show that is magical. Now I know what happens when you try to change something that cannot be changedd and was meant to be the way it was. Truly fascinated!
This episode was devastating. If you've ever been in love, true love, you've been blind. You were ready to do everything in your power to keep it close, everything.
