I have this set, too. Usually I forget about coupons, but I found a 60% and mine cost about $68.00. WELL worth the price. I love the bamboo!!! Happy knitting!!!!
Thanks so much! I’m a confident newbie but I’ve worked with straight needles for a long time and would like to try circulars. I’ve read so many bad reviews so I was super nervous about getting a set! but I know that your reviews are always honest which gave me the confidence to give them a try! Wish me luck!
Thanks for the great demo. I have never used bamboo knitting needles. I got a set of Sears knitting needles for my 15th Christmas in 1965 and still using them. The set has aluminum tips that screw on. The only thing I don't like are the stiff cables and the sizes aren't printed on the tips. I have a gauge sizer that has holes along the edge though that you stick the tips in so you know what size it is. There is a one inch metal connector that you can use to join two cables together to make a longer length. By the way, you look good without your beard. My husband grows his longer in the winter for warmth since he works outside and it gets cold where we live.
Needles from '65 and still good, a mark of durability that is lost these days, treasure them! And thank you, I like to grow out my beard, but felt like shedding for the time being, lol.
glad found you reviewing I was considering buying these, living in Japanand these seem available and reasonable price compaired to imports sets from other brands. Always like your videos so intersted to hear your take on these
Michaels’ current $170 price tag for these is atrocious. I saw them on Amazon for $73, but then I was able to win a new, unopened set on ebay for $64 (including shipping). Take that Michaels! Can’t wait to get them. Thanks for the video.
Google Smoogle I tried ordering some from Michael’s and they decided not to send them cause they were out of stock even though the website says it’s in stock. So now I go to amazon. Eff Michael’s.
Hi...thanks so much for review. I have a pair of fixed and love how they feel. I have had other knitters tell me that bamboo is not as sturdy as birch? I am a new knitter and i am leaning towards the feel of wood. I love my 1 set of clovers. Do the interchangeable cords swivel and can you join cords to make a longer cord for blankets? Thankyou so much
Thank you for your review! I really like Takumi needles and hooks! I was thinking of purchasing these but thought I would wait til I had a coupon. Thanks again!
Really appreciate the review. I own three sets of interchangeables, one set wood and the others aluminium. The wood ones are my favourite because my knitting doesn't slip off of them as it does with the metal. I have looked at this set when I'm in Michaels, but as you say it is on the pricey side and definitely an indulgence. I'm very interested in the 16" length, neither of my sets go that short and I am trying to make hats, double points just don't cut it sometimes. Thank you so much for all you do for us, it is appreciated.
I just got myself this set and i agree, very high quality product. Glad to hear you like it too. Do you make socks? Or have a tutorial on knitti g socks? I want to learn k itting 2 socks at a time on circular needles. There are some tutorials available that I'm reviewing. Wanted to see if youmake socks! Thats my next project. I'm a beginner and I have made a simple shawl from one of your videos. Thank you so much.
I am so glad to hear ypur review about takumi needle,i am just new knitter and got manage to finish a beanie using straight knitting needle but my right pinky got swollen :(. I guess because of the metal needle i was using :(. Thank you for sharing your own opinion about this brand it's a big help for a beginner like me indeed. Stay safe and God bless you
Lol... ☕☕☕😉...nice needles ...economical too....that was a great deal !!! I just ordered some rose gold crochet hooks from the UK !!!😁 Like I need more hooks !!!
I bought one needle size to try before investing in the whole. The needle/cable came apart/unscrewed while I was working on a row of a sweater, several stitches were lost. Thankful I didn’t splurge on whole set.
Please give your opinion regarding the length of the needle. There are certain reviews which mention that the size of the needle is very short & inconvenient during knitting & the joint ( where wood meets plastic ) touches the palm.
I really wanted to love these needles because I had a Michaels coupon but I found them too short and uncomfortable to hold . I don't think they're even 4 inches long.
Great demo! Merci beaucoup ! I've been thinking of replacing my 40 year old needles for some time now. They are pricey, however. Any other ( & less expensive ) brand would you recommend ?
Hello! Loved your review, however I have a question. So I’ve worked with metal and laminated birch needles, how do these needles compare in smoothness and speed? Thank you
Indeed, I have tons to hooks too, lol. As for knitting, if you ever wish to learn, I do have a playlist that starts with the very basics and goes on to more advanced material. Knitting with Fiber Spider: ua-cam.com/play/PLocV9YYcJy2Qe7hBDp2uRAVX-h2Cm3mqw.html
I have been trying to learn to knit for almost 15 years and the operative word is “trying”. Two group classes and 3 private teachers and I am still in the trying mode. The reason for the comment is that all the instructors have taught on the Clover needles.
Do you find that they unscrew while working projects? I’m in the market for a set of interchangeable and have read that it’s a common issue with some sets.
Mine always seem to unscrew no matter how tightly I screw them. I wish that they had a cable key. I like my interchangeables that I had gotten from Knitpicks better because they have a cable key and I can tighten them up so they don’t come undone.
I have these interchangeables. One time I had been knitting a hat and I noticed the yarn catching at the join. When I looked at the join closely, I noticed it was not tightened all the way. Once it was tightened, it did not give me any more trouble.
Yes and no. When first learning how to knit it is great to have a variety of needle sizes to determine what your gauge is (how tight/loose you stitch) and what is most comfortable for you to work with. However, I think that working with straight needles is easier for someone just starting to learn the mechanics of stitching without having to concern yourself with the connecting cord as well. Just my experience and personal opinion. 😊
WOW! "A little pricey" !? I'll say they are! I don't know about anyone else, but 100-170 dollars for Knitting needles?! WTH! I only use US sizes 5,6,7,8 In 16, 24, 32 47 inch lengths. I have all those in bamboo AND stainless steel and I paid a total of about 40$ in total with shipping. I ordered them from China thru Amazon. They came pretty fast-the longest I"ve had to wait thus far is 2 wks. The quality so far has been excellent. I guess I must be a tight-wad because there is much better things I can think of to spend hundreds of dollars on other than knitting needles. Like food and heat. LOL
Nancy Strand I love crochet because it gives me so much confidence. Tried knitting once before and thought I was about to lose my mind!! Then I decided “I can’t let it win” so I picked up my needles and gave it another whirl! I still go back to crotchet when I need that extra boost of confidence because I am still so new to knitting...just under a year! Still in the recovery stage of things. Fiber Spider’s UA-cam channel is the only reason I’m back to giving knitting another go at it! Thanks Fiber Spider 🕷

l wanted another set of interchangeable needles but couldn't decide but your review convinced me to give these a try and they are fabulous!!

Ok, I just ordered my set because of you. Nice to have a 50% coupon and free shipping. Thanks.
Congrats! I hope they serve you as well as they have for me 😉
3 years later..... how do you now feel about them ? Been crocheting for years but just got my needles out and need new oned
Agree, Clover notions and knitting needles are the best!

Michael's had a price glitch last weekend and the online price was $6.49. I bought 4 for less than $30 including tax.

Thank you, Mr. Spider for your honest evaluation!

I am a new knitter and this was very helpful. I love Clover hooks. So I am sure I will love there needles to. 🙂👍🏻
Such expensive needles, wow! I am not a knitter but they look top quality. Stay caffeinated and thank you for sharing dear Mr Fibre ✨

I just order 4 inch and 5 inch complete set on Amazon I received them tomorrow I can’t wait❤️😍
Thank you for the review, it looks like a really good set.
I bought one needle size to try before investing in the whole. The needle/cable came apart/unscrewed while I was working on a row of a sweater, several stitches were lost. Thankful I didn’t splurge on whole set.
I seen them in Michaels and wondered if they were worth the coupon and from what I seen they are Thanks for the tip
Please give your opinion regarding the length of the needle. There are certain reviews which mention that the size of the needle is very short & inconvenient during knitting & the joint ( where wood meets plastic ) touches the palm.
I just bought a set of these wonderful needles, they do not come apart, not on me anyway. I love them! Only problem I didn't know about a coupon😥😥😥
Are there no stoppers for the ends? Sometimes you have to put stitches on hold and they don’t fit on a regular stitch holder.
I really wanted to love these needles because I had a Michaels coupon but I found them too short and uncomfortable to hold . I don't think they're even 4 inches long.
I liked your review. I already have a ser of aluminum.
Great demo! Merci beaucoup ! I've been thinking of replacing my 40 year old needles for some time now. They are pricey, however. Any other ( & less expensive ) brand would you recommend ?
Thank you for the review. Will the writing on the needle rub off?
Is there no little key to tighten the tips to the cables? I would be afraid of them coming undone as you knit.
You got a great deal. Amazon has them for $92.02. Glad you could save a few dollars.
Thank you. Like I've said before, it's not just sharing my experience as a stitcher, but also as a consumer 😊
Fiber Spider you are such a sweet person.
Hello! Loved your review, however I have a question. So I’ve worked with metal and laminated birch needles, how do these needles compare in smoothness and speed? Thank you
I agree you can never have too many hooks. I only wish I knew how to knit one day I'll learn.
Indeed, I have tons to hooks too, lol. As for knitting, if you ever wish to learn, I do have a playlist that starts with the very basics and goes on to more advanced material.

Fiber Spider thank you I will check those out. I have got a lot of my hooks from wish.com. I love them I'm going to order some knitting hooks now.
How flexible are the cords as I’ve just bought the set online as we live in Australia & can’t buy them in store 🙏💖💖
Is the join smooth on all of the needle sizes, where the needle meets the cable? Would the yarn get caught?
Thank you for sharing with us!
It would have been nice if you could have said the size in mm & how smooth or grippy they are 🙏 please Thanks for your review 😊
I have been trying to learn to knit for almost 15 years and the operative word is “trying”. Two group classes and 3 private teachers and I am still in the trying mode. The reason for the comment is that all the instructors have taught on the Clover needles.
Great video, but since i am not a knitter I will let you keep them....love you lots
Do you find that they unscrew while working projects? I’m in the market for a set of interchangeable and have read that it’s a common issue with some sets.
I have used this brand of needles for quite some time and have never had that issue. 😉
Mine unscrewed a little - just enough to catch the yarbn. I wasn't tightening them enough!! Once I did that, they worked GREAT!!
He didn't mention that they actually swivel at the cord ends so it shouldn't unscrew
Mine always seem to unscrew no matter how tightly I screw them. I wish that they had a cable key. I like my interchangeables that I had gotten from Knitpicks better because they have a cable key and I can tighten them up so they don’t come undone.

love the content but the resolution of the videos is way to low - makes for a quick click to go on to something else (it's a 4K world now)
