Hi, Should a beginner save all their art, just 2 see progress? Also, is it hard to find what "style" is right for me? Thanks...I'm older, re-starting after looong time. 💔
I second MM! I would love to see more about adding shadows or doing the parts away from the light darker to give it that vague impression of 3d. Like you did with the branch on this one, for example.
Hey Sara, I use fancy Mijello paints, but I even have a video of me using super cheap crayola paints! It's not about what kind of paint you use! It's just practice! :D Here's the video: ua-cam.com/video/xXLBVOtb-FY/v-deo.html
Yasmina Creates hey, thanks so much, I get now that I just need to start practicing more. I baught some art supplies so that I can’t paint at home too and not just at school. I was also thinking of taking your classes soon too!! Thanks so much
Hi Yasmina! I’m 11 and I want to be as good as you! I find your videos very very helpful and helped me improve my skills as an artist!! I’m begging my mom to buy skillshare so I can learn from your more in depth tutorials! Keep up the good work!
Awww that's so awesome!!! If you start at your age you'll be WAY better than me!!! I started being serious at 17!! If your mom doesn't get you the membership you can email me at yasmina@yasminacreates.com and I'll send you free links to whatever classes you like! :)
Hi, thank you for this work and your tips, they're very helpful! In the video you talk about basic design principles, and recommend to learn basic 2d graphic design to see balance. Is there any class about this particular topic on skillshare that you would recommend to follow? Thanks :)
I know there's more than this class, but I did watch this one: skl.sh/2l1sgUe I actually went to college for two semesters and once of the classes I took was 2d design, we had a great book, but I'm not home to see what the name of it is. But any textbook on the basics of design should be good, it just has to teach things like unity, balance, value, shape, line, and so forth. I would google used textbooks that are even old to get them cheaper, because these principles are timeless. Hope that helps! :D
Hi Yasmina, great video, as usual. Since you asked, I'd really like you to make a video about shadows in watercolor. Merry Christmas!
That's a great idea! I'll get on that!! A very Merry Christmas to you too!! :D
Thanks for all your great tutorials. I also love your positive, encouraging attitude.
