I just finished city of bones today and I stared city of ashes. I would give city of bones four stars out of five

I just watched the series and found it interesting. So i bought the first 5 books. Hope to start reading soon and find out for myself. Having high hopes because the series just feels like things are missing

I have no idea how I would rank all of them. I would need to reread them. I do know that The Bane Chronicles is my least favorite and my top four would be Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, Lord of Shadows, City of Heavenly Fire, and Lady Midnight.
nice video! What would you recommend when to read Chain of Gold? I havent read Mortal Instruments completely either the Dark Artifices , I planned reading Chain of Gold after The infernal devices. What do you recommend?
You can definitely read Chain of Gold once you've finished The Infernal Devices? There are no spoilers for The Dark Artifices, so you're good to go 😉

Everyone says that The Lord of Shadow is the best book of whole shadowhunter universe, but in my opinion it is one of the worst book of each series. Maybe I should do a rereading of every book, but I... hmm, I read it few months ago and I just can't like fall into the story, to dig in the flow of the story... so it's kinda weird for me, when everyone which I heard says that this is the best book in whole universe.

Did you ever watch the City of Bones movie that came out a few years ago? I heard that it was terrible in a really enjoyable and campy way.
Yeah I have seen that one, actually before I ever read the book haha! I do like it as well, not really as an adaptation but definitely as a cheesy film on its own 😂

I definitely agree that it's not Cassandra Clare's best work! But I do think that her later books are so much more exciting 😊
