Good video Katie,, love your tee shirt, I took my little brother to a movie theater in long Island when the movie was just released , you should have seen the line of people in front of the theater wating to get in.. I think it was the first few days in DECEMBER of 68..THANK you Frank from montana......
Thank you! :-) Oh wow, yeah I can only imagine how excited everyone waiting to see the film must have been! (I know I would have been!) All the best, my friend!

Those are some really cool books Katie. I The Beatles Anthology Book as well and it was a gift from a friend. Some of the other books I have never seen before. I also have The Beatles Anthology DVD Boxset
Thank you very much! :-) It’s so cool you’ve got the Anthology book and DVD set! I’ve never seen the documentary, but I’m really going to have to-I’ve heard great things about it!
You are invested in the Beatles. Glad your learning the background of these crazy Liverpool lads. Their life has been amazing! Alot of the pics you are showing in those books are in the video of Now&Then. 😮
Hello Katie! My most recent Beatles related book is a two volume set in a box called Paul McCartney-The Lyrics: A-K 'n L-Z. He includes the lyrics 'n background stories 'n personal remembrances for each song includin' his solo work, Wings 'n The Beatles. Its a phenomenal book...but I was mistaken thinkin' it was his complete catalog. I looked up Little Lamb Dragonfly for the background information 'n it was not included. Love that song!
Hey, that’s super cool! I think I’m going to show that one in the part 2 video-it’s definitely a great book! I’m really glad Paul decided to release something like it because it does clear some things up that I’ve always wondered about. 😂 Thanks for watching, my friend!
I saw a book this week at the shop, looks like a new release about paul mccartney and its part one. Its huge.(the mccartney legacy, '69 to '73). Im mullimg over buying it. Ive had many dreams where i was working on a song with Paul, ...always Paul, who i relate to most as a fellow songwriter.
Oh I’ve seen that book in shops, too! I haven’t bought it yet either, but I’ve heard great things about it. You should definitely get it! :-D Aww, and that’s very sweet! I find myself relating to Paul most, too-when I’m writing music I try to make my standards like his, though I fail at actually achieving them. 😂 Thanks so much for watching, my friend! I really appreciate it!
Great collection Katie, I enjoyed that. The Beatles Anthology book is heavy, isn't it? Love that t-shirt, I think it's the white background that sets it off for me. See ya at round two! 🤠
Aw, thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! :-) Haha, yes it is very heavy! I edited out the parts where I’m struggling to hold it up. 😂 Part two will be up very soon! Thanks for watching!
You've got a great set of books so far! 😉 I have the definitive guide that came with the magnets, the "Images Of The Beatles" book, only the cover to the one I have is different, the "Get Back" book, and the Anthology book. 📖 I like your "Yellow Submarine" shirt too, by the way. 🙂
You made a great quote Katie “When you’re a Beatle fan, you’re a Beatle fan, and everything is interesting” …and so then, are your videos. Very enjoyable. Thanks. :- )
Haha, thank you so much! It’s hilarious you pointed that comment out because I was very close to editing it out, but then I changed my mind at the last minute. I’m glad I didn’t, I reckon. 😂 I’m so happy you’re enjoying the videos, though, and I really appreciate your response! :-)
Wow, these vintage books are really one of the best things to be found. I really need to start looking for them whenever I go looking for vintage records (and start reading more altogether). Of course, the new ones are great too, but what makes the vintage so cool was mostly the fact that they were written while The Beatles were at their peak. Among those I have the Anthology, which was a present from my best friend. Please keep on posting your videos!
I couldn’t agree with you more! Vintage books are cool because they’re exactly what original Beatle fans would have read! :-) Thanks so much for watching, my friend!
Very impressive book collection. You're absolutely right that some of the stories in those vintage books are tall tales. In fact, the Beatles finally authorized the Anthology project (film, records & book) in order to set the record straight. It was designed to be their story in their own words, so to speak. You are also correct in saying that Larry Kane was a journalist. He did tons of interviews on their North American Tours in 1964-65. A record company called Cicadelic Records in Canada released a bunch of interview discs in the 80's which included many of these interviews; some of which are very entertaining. Others border on the ridiculous. At one point he asks Paul if he is going to secretly meet up with Jane Asher while he's in America so the two of them can get married! Any road, I look forward to Part Two as I really enjoy your videos. Have a great week.😎
Oh wow, thank you so much for letting me know about all that! I’m always afraid to misspeak and say something that’s not true, so I really appreciate you taking the time to set my mind at rest a bit. :-) That’s some very interesting stuff, honestly. I’m also glad you’re enjoying my videos! All the best to you, my friend, and part two will be up very soon!
I forgot to mention one other item yesterday. Once again you are spot on with detecting a certain bias in that author's book. I have also encountered similar biases in some of the books I have read. In fact, one author (I can't remember his name) went so far as to state that George and Ringo were not essential to the Beatles and could have been replaced by any musicians. I totally disagree. The Beatles were those four individuals who each made their own contribution to the whole. Paul was also sensitive to writers who seemed to favor John over himself. He made mention of this in several interviews over the years. At one point, he tried to credit songs such as Yesterday to McCartney/Lennon as opposed to Lennon/McCartney since John had little or no input to the song nor did he or any of the other Beatles appear on it. But neither John nor Yoko (as the caretaker of John's work) would agree. John and Paul had made an agreement very early in their songwriting career that all Beatles originals would be credited to Lennon/McCartney. Even Give Peace A Chance had this credit even though Paul had nothing to do with the writing or performing. Sorry for going on so long but I wanted to share that with you. As you come across other Beatles books you are likely to find similar biases. Thanks for reading this.😊
@@robertbanden8117Thank you so much for letting me know! It’s a shame writers can be so biased, especially when history shouldn’t be arguable-it should be fact. I appreciate you letting me know, though. You’re very kind! :-) I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!
Really enjoyed seeing part one of your book collection. I have been collecting Beatle books for several years and I always enjoy seeing what other collectors own to see what might be interesting to read. After awhile it becomes for the most part something I have read somewhere else. Love your channel, looking forward to part two. Take care!

Nice selection, Katie. I wish I had some of the vintage books you have. I do have the Hard Day's Night novelization but not Help. The best vintage one i have is a Beatles coloring book. Very few of the pages are colored in so i think whoever had it didn't want to mess it up. Do you have any of The Beatles bubblegum cards? They are really fun to collect. Always enjoy your videos!
Thank you so much! :-) If you want to find some vintage books for a low price the best place I can recommend is eBay (of course you probably already knew that, haha). Whoa, a Beatles coloring book sounds super cool! And it’s awesome whoever had it didn’t mess up many of the pictures, too! :-D I do have a few of the trading cards, but they’re the ones from the 90s, not the 60s. Do you have some from the 60s? And thank you! I’m really happy you enjoy them! 😊
I’ve had “The Beatle Book” in my possession for most of my life. It belonged to one of my older sisters and it was left behind when she went off to college and I claimed it for my own as well as her Beatles bubblegum cards - she just wasn’t sentimental or nostalgic about things like that. We also had a Beatles Milton Bradley “Flip Your Wig” board game which I never actually played and is long gone unfortunately… I have that “Images Of The Beatles” book, as well as the Philip Norman Paul McCartney biography, which I think is pretty good. That author wrote a book on the Beatles called “Shout” and a biography on John Lennon - both of which painted a pretty negative picture of Paul, so it was surprising that his McCartney book was fairly sympathetic. It almost seems as if he were trying to make amends to Paul for his previous stance.. enjoyed the video, you have an impressive collection!
Wow, those are some cool things to have in your collection! Thanks for sharing about them! :-) And thank you so much for watching, I really appreciate it!

Thank you! 😊 Yes, I agree it’s very interesting that they novelized them, and surprisingly did a pretty good job with doing so, haha. Thanks for watching, my friend!
