I found a 32SCU crate of quantanium yesterday on a VHRT. That's $800k alone, so you can make a lot even at that difficulty, it's just rare. Now I have ERTs unlocked, can't wait to see what I find...
Is the hidden cargo issue only when the scanner has an overflow issue of not fitting it all on the screen? Like a big ship with many components and crew in the scan. With many different cargo, hiding subsequent cargo?
I just tested out yesterday for myself. Ran ERTs for 6 straight hours back to back. Not one single box of weevil eggs or maze. The entire time, I only managed about 500k toxin 2 boxes of slam and 800k Quantanium.
Nice content. Just a small tip, as your voice is very quiet and soft, would suggest you decrease the game audio a little or increase your voice line level. Otherwise it can be hard to hear what you are saying
You do have to be very lucky though, I enjoy the ert missions but you get ones where the cargo is stuck or has glitched so you cannot move it and you get far less than this. I have not had anywhere near the same luck with weevil eggs. The amount of upside down ships that are inaccessible and the mission target does not die and you only get some metal. In my experience bugs make this a very rare two hours you can end up far more often with 2 or 3 hundred thousand. That's my experience anyway
Yeah, a big part of this gameplay is just deciding you're not going to waste time trying to get into difficult wrecks and being prepared to move on to the next one even if you feel you're leaving good loot behind. You should be getting at least 200 or 300k every third mission or so, though, with the occasional jackpot.
Yes - though you will have to rearm every mission because the capital ships are tanky. I have to do a proper test but I think it's still faster because they die a lot quicker so there's a lot less running away to recharge shields, and with ballistics you can set shields to max for the whole fight. Also if one shield is always being hit remember you can bias it. If I roll left on approach I bias left shield (numpad 4) because it will take the most fire. Then numpad 5 to reset after. Also, if I see a retaliator I just kill the target and go to the next mission. It's not worth the hassle.
@@leslieviljoenyes those stupid retaliators…… you damn near waste the entire magazine in both gatlings on those things…. I once shot one’s engines out it crashed and didn’t die, I emptied all my ammo on it, flew to an outpost came back and shot all but 200 rounds into before it died…. And it was stuck on the ground upside down so I wasn’t missing
@@cos4779 Vanguard is amazing ship. Yeah there is no wrong. Whatever you like is good. If you like doing ERT and collecting cargo than yeah A2 is amazing.
@@cos4779 yes get an A2 if you want to solo an ERT and take cargo. It has the best hull/cargo combo. You can use a C2 too but realistically filling a C2 takes many hours of cargo shuffling. I find it better to do a mission, take only valuable cargo (5k+) and do the next one. If the ERT is at some cave I skip it because there's no QT marker.
@leslieviljoen tbh it didn't take me that long to fill a whole C2 with 12 32 SCU of weevil eggs before the the nerf on the bounty ships loot and stuff

I've been taking the ERT's on the planets , luring them down to the ground so they dont explode , yesterday i got an 890 jump with 60scu of GWE's

WTF? I did ERTs for like 3 hours last night only found 1 SCU of eggs, and mostly quartz, titanium, and tungsten

You might want to try Illegal HRT/ERTs (Vaughn rep missions) as I hear they still have Maze and Weevil ;)

I flew 5 ERT missions, none drop any drugs, sold the commodity for around 200k at the most, not worth the effort anymore

How do you open the doors? Are they able to open once the ship is dissabled? They are unlocked?

I notid with laser cannon more destroyed then with ballistics.
Yeah stronger Alfa Damage then ad5b but ad5b can be controlled nicely.
