This was the first car I ever purchased at age 19 it was considered just an old gas guzzler back in 1980 I paid $1,050 for it and it was nearly flawless. I have had three over the years so far. I have way to many projects and too little time for another, so I will have to just enjoy the videos and reminisce. Hope this one brings someone as many memories as mine did.
In 1969 this Mark outsold the Cadillac Eldorado - nothing else Lincoln made could even come close to equivalent Caddies. Nowadays, Lincoln couldn't sell toilet paper in Venezuela. Time for FoMoCo to reconnect with its wildly successful past and make a new, thoroughly modern, reasonably priced Mark. Keep all the styling cues - a 2-door coupe, V8 engine, Palladian grill, hidden headlights, spare tire hump, button-tufted interior. Get busy!

Stunning Mark III! I didn't realize you could get a right hand side mirror on this car. I wonder if that's after market but it fits into the chrome molding like the left mirror. I don't see it as an option on any of the Mark II sales brochures. 1969 had the best looking wheel covers!
I have a ‘69 and just added the pass side mirror. Another drivers side can be used and requires cutting the trim, really not a big deal and great upgrade. It was a very rare dealer option.
Back in 68 , I couldn't wait for these cars to come out !
