This is misinformation. These cards aren't 1/1s, multiple shops in Japan are displaying copies for sale as we speak. Multiple additional copies were put into circulation in the same time period. Last confirmed sale of this card was $15k quite recently, as indicated on the same post in YBM by another well known high end seller.
@@attentionduelists We don't have hard numbers on production but these cards are very well known in high end circles and almost everyone stays away from them for a variety of reasons, one being provenance and another being the inability to get Konami to give an actual statement on authenticity. PSA has also had a longstanding policy of not grading or authenticating these unofficial cards but for some reason that the North American branch employees don't know, the Japanese branch approved authentication on them in recent years.
@@ultravires3499 man, that’s insane info! Thanks for clarifying that. I wish Konami actually made these for top winners though. It’s such a cool idea. I guess that’s the tough part, the game was so fresh back then and still a few years out from the TCG I can see why they wouldn’t wanna touch these.
Thank you for this video bro! I knew about Masahiro a couple months ago but never knew there're two more for 2nd and 3rd! It's an expensive card for sure but tbh I think it deserve more than the price tag since it's a one of and it's the top prize for the 2nd yugioh tournament ever. Man there are a lot of pokemon cards in the old sets sell for more than this!! as a yugioh fan I'm so jelous and I think yugioh cards need more appreciation

@@ultravires3499 REALLY!? See I’ve never even heard about these before and only knew of the championship versions. Do you know how many were made?

@@egycollector ya man it’s a really cool card. They could easily do this now, but ya know, I guess a Switch is a lot easier
Well these cards are 1/1 so they can be any price as long as there are collectors out there willing to fork out the sum like that LOTR One Ring.
@@StevenNeoSayBin yep exactly. Plus they’re cool as hell
None of these cards are 1/1s.
oh well, supply and demand and since these are unique cards, the price can be anywhere
@@kuanlengtan2684 exactly. He owns the only one in existence. Can’t blame him
yea when you have a 1 of 1 card you can basically ask for any price you want
@@SloopYGO especially something so nostalgic and cool
