Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an epic story of survival and transformation. While on an expedition into the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear, then left for dead by members of his own hunting team. Glass, refusing to succumb and driven by sheer will and his love for his wife and son, undertakes a 200-mile journey through a gauntlet of dangers, on the trail of the man who betrayed him: John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). What begins as a relentless quest for revenge becomes a wild adventure leading towards redemption. THE REVENANT is directed and co-written by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
I love the enthusiasm and intelligence Scott Mantz brings to his interviews.
Innaritu honestly doesn't get the praise he deserves. Birdman is a masterpiece of the modern era, it's an absolutely flawless film, and suddenly flew into my top 15 movies of all time. The Revenant isn't a flawless film but it's absolutely incredible, one of the most visually attractive films of recent years and one the most visceral, raw cinema experiences I have ever had.

It is great to listen to such intelligent responses from actors who clearly love their craft and the process they immerse themselves in .. Film can be such a mind blowing art form ... Hollywood needs more of this .. Well done to the interviewer who kept the questions brief but succinct enough to allow the artists to provide an insight into their world .. Well done all .. Looking forward to seeing the movie this afternoon

This was an amazing film. I mean have seen some films over the past few months but this one had to be the most visually disturbing and stunning at the same time. You are fully immersed in the experience without 3D , IMAX or words sometimes. The awards are well deserved .
Leo lived a FULL LIFE. nobody can claim he worked with ALL GREATEST FILM DIRECTORS in his career. Gosh. Spielberg, Scorsese, Tarantino, Nolan, James Cameron and now Innaritu. Like boooooy! Who needs an Oscar? Lol

There are two things: 1. rehearse all day long, and 2. improvisation. Some people think the constant repetition of a topic, a movement, a script, a philosophy, or a breath, is not related to improvisation, but it's a lie. How many rehearsals Beethoven did do before improvising the Fifth Symphony? I think everyone understands now that repetition of a script is unskippable to be able to "breathe improvisation." The fight with the grizzlie makes me think about everyone's fight for the truth. Love U Leo ❤️ xx
