To be fair Leo is already into his next role and just doesn't remember. Quentin researched and found what he wanted and showed it to Leo. Leo did do a fair amount of talking though and at the end did not let Quentin cut him off.
The whole movie kind of goes back and forth into the real late 60s Hollywood and a written one, I think that’s why it’s so good. I read about Sharon Tate after the movie, and it gave it a whole new level to the story I didn’t fully get while watching it. I’m sure someone who lived through this era, or knew more the 60s and 70s would absolutely revel in this movie. Also brad pitt was so so good, ugh.

for sure. like this man is obviously confident asf yet still heavily shy. i’m pretty sure he’s said before that he hates interviews so that probably explains why he is so introverted in them. also due to how quentin won’t stop talking here lmao!
@@divine8897 I know Leo had said he hated interviews with an audience before but I think that had to do with his very first audience interview being David Letterman when he was promoting The Basketball Diaries. David was kind of a cocky jerk to Leo throughout but since then after being on Oprah and Ellen he seems to not mind it as much anymore
I think it has to do with who he’s interviewing with as well. Quentin is a talkative type A who doesn’t mind interrupting others while Leo’s a little more polite, so the combination makes for Quentin dominating the conversation

So many smooth brained comments on this video pointing out elementary-level observations with 15k+ upvotes. Yet this is the most astute call out and there’s nothing on it. This nails it
Not Brad Pitt made the movie pop, but maybe Cliff Booth. Both Leo and Brad did an amazing job, but I can understand that people liked Brad's character more
is nobody going to talk about how difficult it is to get these two people together for an interview? props to whoever had connections/put this together because that was probably so hard
Eh? This kind of thing always happens when actors are promoting a film. It's not like they just got together for an unscheduled chat. They'll have done a ton of similar interviews, podcasts etc. That's why Leo looks bored in this video as he knows he's got another 9 hours of the same questions with various interviewers.
I watched the movie last night in Mexico, they have a cool movie theater with recliners and waiters. The entire audience gasped at that line then kind of chuckled nervously.
@@TheJeremyKentBGross It's just something I've noticed with some good actors. Maybe be because they feel more comfortable in somebody else's skin than their own
I don’t know if this is completely relevant, but in his Netflix doc, Jim Carey spends a lot of time talking about the difference between his sense of self and stage presence.
When I see Leo talk in interviews he seems like an actual human. Unlike MOST actors of his success. Who seeeem like they’re always acting. Like they’re very aware of what face their making and how they’re being perceived. Performing. Leo is just talking.
Tarantino gets high on movies...he’s an addicted movie fiend at peace with his addiction. That’s why he looks coked up but whether he is or not it doesn’t matter, the man is a genius.
August Moon there's a massive difference between a homage and a rip off, there's plenty of interesting videos on here about the topic if you want to educate yourself
Reality is Leo is just humble enough to know who has the more relevant, accurate answers when it comes to who the main character is... The point of this interview.
I get bored listening to QT blab on and on about how great his characters are. I was hoping to hear what Leo thought about it but he'd speak a sentence and then Q-tip would interrupt.
Tarantino is a living, breathing full set of Encyclopedia Brittanica volumes all about cinema and the entire history of film....a beautiful, rare treasure that elevates this particular medium of art to a whole other level of appreciation and social commentary. Great film is something that truly resonates in your soul and stays with you. Tarantino encapsulates that process and the dynamics of life-changing art with unbridled enthusiasm and joy that makes us, the audience, uphold a cinematic masterpiece for the incredible gift that it truly is.
That would never happen. If you want to learn how to make a movie- make one. Thats what he would tell you. Look for his David Letterman interviews. He actually said this and everyone laughed as if it were a joke but he was serious.
Talk about the ultimate class where you can probably pretty much just get away with leaving an audio recorder in your class seat as plenty sufficient lol
dope , he is aware of that, he addresses it in the documentary “Before the Flood”. yeah, it definitely makes him seem like a hypocrite, but he’s not a “normal” person and it’s not like he can peacefully use public transportation and stuff like that to minimize his footprint, but some things are inexcusable like his yacht parties. i guess he tries to make up for it by speaking up and donating money. we can only hope he truly cares about this topic and isn’t just faking it...

actually it's really not
more like an interaction between someone with an IQ of 160 and little social ability and a charismatic extroverted actor.
Tarantino’s just really passionate about film....
I never really understood leo, He seems like Outgoing but introverted at the seem time and shy.
Same. Actually, I feel like he's kinda bored every time I watch him being interviewed, but he's sooo passionate while acting! Also, I think Rick is his best role ever, he was just perfect, and even deserved more time on screen, tbh.
for sure. like this man is obviously confident asf yet still heavily shy. i’m pretty sure he’s said before that he hates interviews so that probably explains why he is so introverted in them. also due to how quentin won’t stop talking here lmao!
Same
@@divine8897 I know Leo had said he hated interviews with an audience before but I think that had to do with his very first audience interview being David Letterman when he was promoting The Basketball Diaries.
I think they are such a good team because Leo is so calm and Tarantino is so excited but in the end they both take their job equally seriously.

So many smooth brained comments on this video pointing out elementary-level observations with 15k+ upvotes. Yet this is the most astute call out and there’s nothing on it. This nails it
Leo: nodds..."mmm yes hmm yes"
QT: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
jonny jonjon right.....mmmhhhh
Cocaine and weed
i love how the camera points at Leo each time he goes "yep" "hmm"
I liked the film but for me it was Brad Pitts performance that stole the show, honestly played the character so well
100% he made that movie pop
strongly disagree, but I respect your FACTUALLY INCORRECT opinion
Everyone wanted Cliff's part, but not Rick's. But I thought DiCaprio did great in the role.
Not Brad Pitt made the movie pop, but maybe Cliff Booth. Both Leo and Brad did an amazing job, but I can understand that people liked Brad's character more
SomeoneSlick: It's DiCaprio's film. His acting in the film is the best. Not Brando/Pacino level but he proves he's one of the best actors.
Leo’s got that “did I leave the stove on” look
Chandler Nelson made me chuckle
10:51 is peak "did i leave the stove on" look
@@lyne6687 ahahahha
Lyne 😂😂
is nobody going to talk about how difficult it is to get these two people together for an interview?
props to whoever had connections/put this together because that was probably so hard
Eh? This kind of thing always happens when actors are promoting a film. It's not like they just got together for an unscheduled chat. They'll have done a ton of similar interviews, podcasts etc. That's why Leo looks bored in this video as he knows he's got another 9 hours of the same questions with various interviewers.
@@WOOOPdoctorFROGhere that’s true but still idk i think it’s pretty hard for a youtube channel to get an interview w them
@@nadiahedayati9363 it's Vanity Fair. They're huge.
*"Don't cry in front of the Mexicans"*
That line made me laugh so much. So cheeky and probably very accurate for their characters in that time.
@C E Pathetic troll. Why would you say that? No they are not.
@C E no u
HELLBENDERS
I watched the movie last night in Mexico, they have a cool movie theater with recliners and waiters. The entire audience gasped at that line then kind of chuckled nervously.
I feel like Leonardo DiCaprio it's such a good actor that he doesn't know how to act like Leonardo DiCaprio during an interview.
Most of the best actors are very introverted in their own skin, that why they're actors. Like johnny depp for example
@@amandascott2705 wait, why does that make them good actors?
@@TheJeremyKentBGross
It's just something I've noticed with some good actors. Maybe be because they feel more comfortable in somebody else's skin than their own
I don’t know if this is completely relevant, but in his Netflix doc, Jim Carey spends a lot of time talking about the difference between his sense of self and stage presence.
@@iainduncan722 totally relevant, Jim Carrey is a perfect example of this type of actor. 😊
someone make a compilation of tarantino interrupting leonardo dicaprio

or Leo thinking about trees
@@knurdyob You, dear person, just made my day.
@@annafaelens glad to be of help ;)
Is it worse than Neil deGrasse interrupting Joe Rogan?
When I see Leo talk in interviews he seems like an actual human. Unlike MOST actors of his success. Who seeeem like they’re always acting. Like they’re very aware of what face their making and how they’re being perceived. Performing. Leo is just talking.
Tune in to watch Leonardo DiCaprio listening attentively to Quentin Tarantino 😂😂😂
XD
I mean, what would you do haha?
Well, when Leo would start to talk, Quentin would promptly cut him off, LOL. Only once did Leo stand his ground and talk over Quentin, LOL.
Tarantino gets high on movies...he’s an addicted movie fiend at peace with his addiction. That’s why he looks coked up but whether he is or not it doesn’t matter, the man is a genius.
or maybe just on coke lmao
Roland Deschain de Gilead I think he’s just on the spectrum
He probably is coked up
@@augustmoon0004 he's actually a genius. He has an iq of 160
August Moon there's a massive difference between a homage and a rip off, there's plenty of interesting videos on here about the topic if you want to educate yourself
Reality is Leo is just humble enough to know who has the more relevant, accurate answers when it comes to who the main character is... The point of this interview.
who has more clout, Leo or Tarantino?
Jvrlucena Films Leo by far
I get bored listening to QT blab on and on about how great his characters are. I was hoping to hear what Leo thought about it but he'd speak a sentence and then Q-tip would interrupt.
@@thetake-geopolitics4961
Leo for sure but he has better manners. Just let the other guy go, don't interrupt.
Leonardo: So, Rick is about-
Quentin: You know Steve McQueen had this....
Internet Father it’s edited

I totally forgot I was watching Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio in this movie
So true!
Durr durr he is acting durr durr durr durr
Just sitting through this video and not cracking up every 20 seconds requires years of training.
Imagine going to film school and QT is your teacher. I’d sign up for that course.
That would never happen.
If you want to learn how to make a movie- make one.
Thats what he would tell you.
Look for his David Letterman interviews. He actually said this and everyone laughed as if it were a joke but he was serious.
anthtan nah because Quentin will just tell people to figure it out and find your own trademark 🤷♂️
Talk about the ultimate class where you can probably pretty much just get away with leaving an audio recorder in your class seat as plenty sufficient lol
my film school is studio binder and screenwriting
this interview is simultaneously very interesting and absolutely hilarious lmao
This should be called, "Quentin Tarantino breaks down..."
Which is fine. Let the maestro/legend speak
Yeahhhh but.... Leo knows this movie too. He seemed to be cut off a lot of the time bubbles tarentino
not even leo would mind , you can see how relaxed and in the zine he is with Tarantino
This video should be called “Quentin Tarantino interrupts Leonardo DiCaprio. “.
I love it we don’t have directors like him anymore it’s just all lazy writing and directing now just re boots
Me, an introvert, and my loud, extroverted friend.
Facts facts facts !!
Pretty much
@FlyingArmBar 24/7 best comment 2019
Tarantino is totally an introvert. Movies just happen to be his passion so he opens up when it comes to them.
@@angusmaxim3450 His Ego took over. Which is what is expected when you are successful and brilliant in what you do.
Never heard Leo introduce himself before.
he probably hasnt heard himself do it for longer than I’ve been alive
I’ve never heard him say his own name before lol
lmfao Im relieved to see im not the only person interested in this lol
Omg I had to rewind and hear it again! I was like, wait, he calls himself leonardo??! FANGIRLLLLL ❤️
Hahah sammmmmeee
This interview is basically - Leo: "Well What I like about this chara.." Quentin interrupts: "This character is great because etc"
Leonardo is chill asf I bet he has amazing thoughts
The environment
Global warming
He’s a bit of a hypocrite in the whole environmental image he loves giving off to us
dope exactly...
dope , he is aware of that, he addresses it in the documentary “Before the Flood”. yeah, it definitely makes him seem like a hypocrite, but he’s not a “normal” person and it’s not like he can peacefully use public transportation and stuff like that to minimize his footprint, but some things are inexcusable like his yacht parties. i guess he tries to make up for it by speaking up and donating money. we can only hope he truly cares about this topic and isn’t just faking it...
Everyone's pointing out that Leo rarely does these types of interviews, nobody remembering he hardly does interviews in general.
I'm surprised Tarantino didn't tell Leo to take off his shoes and socks and put his feet on the table.
broadcast3ful amen
Hahaha
He likes women feet only.. not men`s..
rajá reddy there was a shot with Leo’s feet in the pool, I think more than one scene
@@raj-zo4ev He is straight, but in Once Upon a Time there were some male footshots, too.
