Jason, for sunny side eggs, have a lid for your pan, then add in a couple spoons of water, and steam them. You will not need to even flip them. They will be velvety soft!! Old diner hack.

If you had a lid you could always steam the eggs by putting little water in there and letting it turn to steam which is very effective of cooking the eggs if you have a lid

Welcome, Lex! Glad you have found a connection with Jason too! I have been a long-time subscriber. At one point, I decided to go back and watch every one of his videos from the beginning. I have loved basically following his life story. In his early videos, Jason was a strong buckaroo, doing trail runs and tree pull-ups to stay in shape for hunting, plus some intense hikes! Old name of the channel was "Primal Archer". I think you might be able to see my public playlist "The Beautiful Outdoors", which features the best of Jason's older videos that included "cinematic" scenery. Figured I would mention, since there are countless hours of video to watch otherwise. Take care, man!

Had a 96 e250 same thing happened to me tensioner pulley bolt snapped off. Made it to AutoZone. Used my shoe lace to measure belt length while bypassing tensioner pulley. Found one a little bit big so I took some friction tape (batters tape ) i had. (electrician) i wrapped layers around the idler pulley to make it bigger ran it like that for around a year had to add and or replace tape when it started squeaking. After a few times I could do it blindfolded

On your eggs, and with cast iron in general, heat management is key, don't go full-on high heat. secondly, for "sunny-side-up", use a lid, it'll steam heat the top of the eggs. I eat four eggs with some cheese and different spices fr lunch every day, cooked in a cast iron pan in butter... Before the eggs are fully done I turn off the gas and let them finish off a bit with the lid still on - After I'm done I just wipe out the pan with, usually, a pre-used paper towel....

Hi a little tip for your eggs. What I do with mine is to put a pot lid over them with just a splash of water it helps set up the top. Almost like poached. Just take it off when it’s done to your liking. P.s. thanks for the content. I really enjoy it

Another trick for excellent sunny side up eggs without overcooking them - when you add the eggs to the pan, add a tablespoon or so of water and pop a lid on for a minute or so, it basically poaches/steams the tops (time depends on how hot the pan is.)

I had the exact same failure in my 96 E250 Sportsmobile. I had just gotten the engine replaced and replaced the tensioner too. Ford covered it but made me buy the bracket which turned out not to be needed because the broken bolt came out easily. I now carry the old bracket and tensioner in the van as a spare since it is a failure that pretty much immobilizes the van.

I used to be an autoparts guy. I would just change out the tensioner assembly at 60,000 miles as a preventative measure. Belts too. Smart to carry spare parts.

And if outbacking, I'd have a much heavier toolbox including drills, bits, easyouts, and all the hand tools. Around 2000-2005, spent a few years up and down I-95 in a 86 B350 post office van, 3rd engine, second transmission, and none of it installed right... that toolbox was KEY. Water pumps, alternators, weird brake caliper failures... you name it I probably fixed it on the side of the interstate in that van.

Biggest risk running the van without the belt is that (I think) that engine has a belt driven water pump!! So very short runs before it overheats and warps heads / blows head gaskets. Dunno why they didn't just run the water pump of a crank gear, but it is what it is. Be careful when running ANY engine without the serpentine belt.

Hi there I've been in that situation before. Here's some of my fixes. First was out 8n the mountains once battery went dead took the belts off and the bar off my chainsaw.
, was able to turn alternater with the Cain off chainsaw charged my battery saved about a 20 mile hike in the snow. Once I was driving semi my belt broke climbing rygrass pass had some rope tied it tight around where the belt goes and was able to climb the hill fully loaded. Had to rethread the fix a couple times and when I got to the summit was able to limp to Ellensburg for parts.fixed truck and got to Seattle in time to unload. Really nice that Casey was able to get you made good content for bolth of you.but if you need to you could be creative. Shure you have better cordage than the 1/4 lunch Manila 4ope I used.

The lack of snow is very concerning. The snow is coming but it's late and I'm not sure because of the temperatue the snow will have a high moisture content. Even if it is cold outside and it snows a lot the days are longer. Late snow makes for runoff and does not fill lakes and reservoirs. It could make for a terrible fire season. Hope that doesn't happen.

Heard you talking about your transmission upgrade plans over on Casey's channel, you're gonna like it. I have an '86 Ramcharger with a '90 roller block based 410" stroker in it. I mated that to a 2016 8HP70 eight speed from a Ram 1500 4x4. Took some tinkering to mate the original NP208D t-case to it, but it's in there. The trans is operated with a Sound German Automotive/PCS controller. It made it into a whole different truck. The 8spd's 4.69 1st gear vs the 727 three speed's 2.45 almost doubles low range with 4.10 axles, 50.3:1 ratio vs 26.3:1. Even 2nd gear in the 8HP is lower than 1st in the 727. The two OD ratios certainly don't hurt my feelings either. I'll be watching your progress.

I had a van not unlike yours. I locked up the plastic pulley that’s static mounted, not the tensioner one. All was good, I had kept a wore out one for a spare, but, it was a torx tip bolt (A 55 I believe) that caused me to limp into town for the socket I didn’t have with. Good times. BTW pulleys will interchange so you only need one spare. Change out that torx bolt for a hex. Great channel!

You need to take a trick from the old timers. There was always a set of nylons as in women’s hosiery, and that way if you broke a belt, you could wrap it tightly and tie it off because you could make basically any size you needed, and it would do in a pinch to go, a shorter distance or in your case not bad considering you’re not dealing with a V belt. They also make belts that are adjustable sizes and that is something else that is good to keep with you that way if power steering pump freezes up, you can bypass it or other things.I understand you travel minimally and this would take up very little space and be handy for things in the future as well as have other uses.

My uncle years ago showed me a bag of belts and hoses etc. that he grabbed from u-pull-it.
I've always carried spare everything on account of interstate work travel. Of course it take a pickup minimumly.

I think it’s so cool seeing a wood stove fire place inside the van and a nice overland set up.

"CASEY", heck yeah. I follow his channel. He's a good person. Your rig is pretty sweet, bro. You have it set up nice. Good that more damage was not done when the tensioner gave up. I've seen them destroy radiators and the like. Thanks for the video. New subscriber.

Never seen your channel, saw the landscape and went 'I... know that area'! Pretty neat how YT shows local content to locals!
