Definitely strong community. My mom and dad were born and raised in Prestonburg and knott county. My mom raised all 8 of her kids in Michigan and the things instilled in her were instilled in all of us. Kentucky strong
Since the flood I don’t know how many times I’ve heard how strong Kentucky people are. How helping a neighbor out when they to have lost everything. My question is where was these people? Not one person came, no fema money, no financial support of any kind. The only people that came where the people that came to steal and vandalize what was left. People that weren’t effected by the flood in anyway, would stand in relief lines looking to take. Elected officials became rich on someone else’s loss. Kentucky Proud? Strong? Kentucky’s flood destroyed innocence and and hardened hearts.
