I’m pushing my mini 5 a little further. Haven’t tried Logic yet, but started with Drambo which adapts itself well to this smaller screen. I assume Logic will be too much anyway.
I have Logic Pro on my 12.9 iPad and was in the market to finally buy a MacBook Air (I don’t own a laptop ) but sod it , after seeing this video I might just get the mini 7 instead and stay iOS. I know I’d be missing some features but it’s not too shabby an idea actually . Thanks for the video and bench test , Patrick.
Hello sir absolutely love your vids. I've got one question would it be worth to get m1 macbook for just logic ? I've got m2 ipad but I hate subscriptions that logics pro costs
@@TheLogicProGuide I was just looking at mac minis and fell in love with the new m4 chip one think ima get that one m4 chip for that price is almost the same im gona have to pay for m1 256 macbook
I’m curious if the A17 Pro supports memory swap. On my old iPad Mini, I run out of memory quickly when using sample instruments. I’d probably hit the limit with 8GB pretty fast too, if there’s no memory swap. Unfortunately, there’s no info on this yet.
That size with stems is wicked
Thanks for the straight forward stress test! Very helpful.
Thanks for watching!

@@StefanBoeykens the Mini 5 *is* supported by Logic, but you’d miss out on a lot of its best features really.
My mini 5 crashes with multiple tracks with AUTOTUNE. Even with multiple Tracks with audio kit pro plugins.
I am going for the iPad mini 7 for sure
It’s a great little device for sure!

@@WyattLite-n-inn it’s a great device for sure, huge change from a 12.9” screen as well!

Depends which M1 model you’re thinking of really?

Im bout to get a mini 7 or ipad 10 gen for my bday which is worth it if im using logic pro and drawing in general
Mini 7 for all features of logic
Stems worked on Mini 6 too.

The only good thing about it is its portability. For a £100 more the iPad Air M2 11” is a much better value.
@@mango4two101 yep, the 11” air is ridiculously good value.
I wish for a Mini with M chip. I had a M1 ipad and I loved running it like a laptop with split screen. Logic stretched to the whole screen
