- Recently I was rewatching Shrek 2, a classic of the ages, and as I often do I tend to peruse Wikipedia and review sites to see how movies faired. Even when I expect they’ll do really well, I like to just take a look anyway. And lo and behold, Shrek 2 has an audience rating that is not 100%! T’s only at 69%! This got me into a state of rage and passion that made me sit down and passionately explain why Shrek 2 is arguably the best film ever made. Enjoy.

I didn't realize how low of an audience score shrek 2 had on rotten tomatoes, thats crazy! This movie especially its soundtrack is a staple in my family especially with mh two older brothers. I think the I need a hero scene is one of the best scenes in an animated movie.

Shrek 1 & 2 are absolute timeless classics grow up watching them as a kid and still love them all these years later there among dreamworks best films ever made
I went to a graduation party once where they had the food catered and there was indeed a full pig on the table, not sure if it had an apple in its mouth, but it's the first and only time i've seen that in real life. (Other than at a pig roast, but then the pig is cut up before being served, so it doesn't count).

Far Far Away and Queen Anna wants to do the best for her Kingdom of Arendelle because now she is The New Queen of Arendelle, but at the end, King Artie and Queen Anna become best friends in the world, because at the end, they both learned from their mistakes that they have made since their challenge to compete to see who is the best ruler of a Kingdom, and that at the end, King Artie and Princess Guinevere see their first true love kiss and that they become a romantic couple, just like Prince Lancelot and Princess Tiffany, and also that at the end of the movie of Shrek 5, Shrek becomes The New Leader of The Official Disney Princes and Maui, Hiccup Haddock, Kristoff Bjorgman, Jack Frost, Varian, Jin, Connor, The Baker, Starboy, Mateo, Prince Desmond, Prince James, Prince Hugo, Prince Lancelot and King Artie become The New Official Members of The Official Disney Princes, while Princess Fiona becomes The New Leader of The Official Disney Princesses and Queen Anna, Princess Elsa, Shrek 2 is really good and ive heard multiple people say its the best of the series. I think personally i enjoy the first one more not saying that the second one is bad in any way i think its more the fact ive watch the first one so much i just remember it more and so have a bias towards it. But Shrek 2 was really good and i do enjoy it.

Also, the billboard of the Fairy Godmother was a direct nod to Angelyne. Having grown up in LA, I can attest that having a really trashy-looking billboard of a sexualized woman (in PINK) in an otherwise nice neighborhood was ON THE NOSE if they wanted Far Far Away to read as Hollywood. 😅

Shrek 2 feels like the Spider-Man 2 (Rami) of the Shrek franchise! At least it was until Puss in Boots: The Last Wish came along!

Till this day Shrek 2 is still one of my favorite animated movies. I liked Shrek 2 better than Shrek but the first two are classics.
