- We walk through walls! A very cool glitch that I may explore in a lot more depth in a Glitchfest someday if there's enough interest. I miscounted before, the finale will be next time! While there were only a couple glitches here, a lot of progress was made!

Originally that scene had me using that voice going "Whatever Chansey, run, I don't want you in my life anyway!" then I threw off my headphones and made a dumb cry sound. In the end, I thought the simple "dang" worked better.

As a note to anyone watching this: In Sabrina's gym, only walk horizontal between these teleport pads.
If you do that, you will end up at Sabrina, while fighting every trainer that is in the gym.
No BS, the finale will be out on Sept 13. :) Also I say Safari Zone a lot this episode.

For the walk through walls glitch, you can actually save during the 500 steps. Then you can just reset if you walked too far before jumping or went to the wrong place when walking through walls. Saves a lot of time :)

I know it's pointless to tell you now, but if you press start when you're in the safari zone it tells you how many steps you've got left before they kick you out
I’ve done the glitch before a long time ago, and I remember it doesn’t give you a step counter, so yeah it’s guesswork

For future reference, a simple way to navigate through sabrina's gym is just keep walking counter-clockwise.

I played through Blue a couple days ago, and used the glitch to talk through walls to legitimately catch mewtwo with only 4 badges. It's easier if you run the safari counter down in the zone so you can track it, then save when you get close, so you can reset since the glitch saves. Fun stuff!

This is seriously one of my favourite series, I always look forward to it, sad it'll end but they've been some sweet glitches :)
These glitches still work in the eshop versions of the games. :'D
And Nintendo is fully aware of that. They kept the glitches in for nostalgic reasons.

If you didn't understand what scykoh meant when he said "you are back for round 2", it's a thing from his first video he ever uploaded, where he found a chansey in the safari zone, and it ran, so he encountered another, and it ran

In my defense, I was gone for 2 weeks. Because I had to pre-record 2 weeks of gameplay videos (and still make a Glitch Quest episode) before leaving, I've effectively only gotten to work on this episode for a bit over a week.

I've discovered that the gym's warp panels can be navigated by just going up and down
I did the safari zone glitch by accident and i got freaked out when i got it because i did not know what happend
Wait, so what would happen if you used pallet town as your last heal, then got the walk thru walls glitch and when you appeared back at pallet town, WALK TO THE HUGE GRASSY AREA TO THE LEFT OF YOUR HOUSE? :O

In the Saffron Gym, I always just walk vertically from whatever warp pad I'm on, either up or down. It'll take you through every warp pad, but at least you don't have to worry about memorizing a path, and it WILL take you to the gym leader. Horizontally would probably work too, but I personally never do it.
...Well, except in Let's Go, but that's a different story.

Another cool variant of the safari zone glitch is when the step counter runs out while you're on those spinny things inside team rocket's hideout, all of a sudden you become a master of pirouettes!
In the Saffron city gym,you just have to walk horizontally the whole time to get there fastest :3

1:15 if you just keep alternating between going up, and down (depending on where you already are) eventually you'll make it to the gym leader

Been quite some time since this was uploaded, but I'm fairly sure that in the saffron gym you just walk counterclockwise to the next pad and you'll get to the gym leader.
Not 100% sure for gen 1, but I know that it works that way in gen 2, and that part should be the same
The portals are very easy to navigate!
Just choose the portal above och below the one you just walk in to.
So if you walk up on the first one, the next i straight down, after that is just straight up.
And to come back to the entrance just to the exact same thing.
Running = viciously annihilating with Ice Beam. Scykoh, everybody.
you know that with the psychic gym with all the teleporters if u keep going to the teleporter above or below the one u just went through it will soon get you to the leader or when you reach the top left corner trainer go through the top left teleporter and u will get there in only three or four teleports :)

I remember discovering the walk through walls glitch a couple years ago. I'd have been the coolest kid on the playground if I knew that back when Pokemon was new.
I dunno why but that hitmonpee had me dying for 5 minutes. OH immaturity is the best.

In Saffron City Gym, if you only ever walk to teleport pads that are above or below you, and not to the sides, you'll make your way to the center and back again.

Always entertaining to watch your videos!!! I love glitchquest!!! I wish you walked through walls to get onto Cycling road from the Fly HM girl's house! Would you walk on the road or what you bike on the road? The bike is automatically given to you in the first glitch when you exit the building, but if you don't exit the building and just walk through the fence to get onto Cycling Road, do you get a bike or do you get to WALK on the road?? that would be so cool!

Hey Scykoh, I have a trick for Sabrina's gym. Always step onto the teleporter that is diagonal from the one you landed on. if you do this you will go to I think every room and you can avoid every trainer if you want to. awesome video by the way!
