The 80’s were a decade of the dueling high voices. Miljenko Matijevic has the highest register of all of them. His voice was out of this universe great. Steelheart, I feel, didn’t get the recognition they truly deserved. But don’t get me wrong, they certainly were extremely popular. The 80’s were also the decade of HAIR. Hence the nickname Hair Metal. The women loved long hair on their artists. Hell, we were jealous that guys had more beautiful hair than we did. I still prefer long hair on guys, but it went out of vogue 😍🥰. Another song that really shows his range is Angel Eyes, plus it’s a really great song!!
I agree. they didn't get the recognition they truly deserved and I think part of that is because they didn't come on the scene until 1989 and then grunge took over in 1990/1991
Hey man, just saw the footage of that huge explosion in Beirut today, and I think I remember you saying in a previous video that that's where you were based. I know it's not much, but just wanted to pass along my hopes and best wishes that you, your family, and your friends are safe and unhurt today.
I am loving watching all these vocal coaches react to songs, I am learning so much, and then a lot of the terms I still have to look up and read what it means.. I would personally love to be able to sing that high and that well every time I sing, but alas that is not meant for us mere mortals. I feel like there are a few very special people that were given the amazing range that this guy has. One guy that comes to mind that I have just recently heard and been amazed by is Demash (I probably misspelled his name.) This was my first video of yours (Arab Man Reacts) that I have watched but I will be exploring more. I love to watch other people that weren't born in the 80s or weren't exposed to rock music back then discover it and realize how good it is.
@@ArabManReacts AHHHH....THERE YOU ARE!! Thank God you're okay! I hope and pray all of your loved ones are safe also. What a Horrific explosion! I am praying for ALL of the people of Beirut and Lebanon. Much love to you!💖 🌟💫💛
Miljenko Matijevic is amazing. One of the best for sure. He’s the second person I’ve seen singing and chewing gum. Meat Loaf also chews gum when he sings. Both have incredible voices. Although both have aged much since their prime and their voices have aged , but they still do good. It’s really surprising Steelheart didn’t have a line of hit records.
Steelheart’s Milijenko Matijevic was in a horrible accident where a scaffolding or truss that he was climbing collapsed, badly injuring him. He went through years of rehabilitation but he’s back better than ever!
I realize I'm late to the party here but that was my favorite reaction to this song I watched it at least ten times so glad I came across your channel I subscribed can't wait to check out some more stuff can't leave my notifications on or I would never sleep I'm a session guitarest so it's all kinds of weird hours from one day to the next but thanks for making my day that was great 🎶🎵🤟
You should react to [Aurora - Through The Eyes Of A Child (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT)] or [AURORA - Warrior (Red Bull session)] Hopefully, this girl is the next evolution of mankind. No Joke.
Bloody but Unbowed I’ve suggested Aurora also.....same song. Even provided a link. Joe, you’re the gatekeeper.....let him watch Aurora at least once! Please!
You have just witnessed the greatest rock vocalist of all time. Next one to check out is Ronnie Radke of Falling In Reverse singing The Drug In Me Is Reimagined, then The Last Resort Reimagined. Truly one of the craziest singers you will ever hear.
Yes... ole Miljenko Matijević has got pipes. I saw a while back Ken Tamplin had a "How to sing like Miljenko" video, so I suppose he can teach ya... oh wait... you don't need it, you already were hitting those notes.. ;-)
I just became a $20 patron. Love your joy and enthusiasm for great singers. I’ve got some for you. Please react to Yebba’s, “My Mind”, live performance, Diana Navarro’s, “El Perdon” (watch black and white music video with English translations), Heart’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway To Heaven” live at the Kennedy Center Honor Awards, and Rosalia’s, “Me Quedo Contigo” Goya 2019 live performance. Thank you so much for even considering my requests. Hoping you will react to these very powerful women singers.
Hi Mary! I’m just realizing that my reply to you never got posted. UA-cam was updating their app today and I’m guessing something happened. I just want to say THANKYOUUUUUUUUUUUU. This means a lot to us. I messaged you on Patreon. All your requests were added to the list and we will schedule them and I’ll message you on patreon and let you know when they will be released. You are amazing ❤️❤️🙏🏻
New subscriber here! I am really enjoying your videos. Please react to Diana Ankudinova. Wicked Game, Human, or Rechenka, (that one is a Russian folk song), or Daniere Danse. She was 14 or 15 during these performances. She has such a unique voice.
Hey I don't remember if you said you live in Beirut, but I hope you're safe. I heard about the explosion. Sending wishes that your friends & family are all safe as well.
Wow. I haven’t heard this song in yeeeaaaars. Years. Wow. The live version is pretty cool, even if his long notes feel a little shorter than the studio version. This also leads me to suggest you check out Beast in Black with the song Blind and Frozen.
Actually, that "Lady..." part is both mix-register plus a tinge of vocal fry. The "For all I've done..." bit is what seals the deal. It's mix-register but more to headvoice that creates an echoey, melodic pitch... *THAT* is the part which not many humans are gifted with. And definitely NOT that wannabe from Indonesia, Denz Gonjales who covered this song. A disgusting massacre, the Indon's rendition. Honestly.
Arab Man Reacts when my husband heard about this, he said that he bet that it was explosives that were being stored in the warehouse. Turns out he was spot on. He thought it might have been caused by excessive heat, but I checked and you guys aren’t that hot right now.......88 Fahrenheit. Wonder what set it off and how many casualties there were......So glad you are all OK!
Hey there! On a past video you said you were pretty much into Grunge music. Have you ever heard of the band I Mother Earth? If not Tryout their song Earth, Sky & C . Have a great one!!! Salut
@@safgirl5836 yeah he's the lead vocalist for scorpions. But to me matjevic's voice reminds me of Robin McAuley (then lead singer of MSG formed by Michael Schenker, brother of Rudolf Schenker who formed Scorpions)
@@safgirl5836 yeap it is I've recently fallen in love with hair metal and classic rock, they got the best vocalists and the music is so good it just makes me hypothetically assume myself in a relationship/breakup lmao. Edit: btw check out Mcauley Schenker Group(MSG)
Just a suggestion, don't listen to unplugged versions of anyone's songs. Without the original drums, bass and guitars (not acoustic guitars), the unplugged songs are missing the essence of what makes them good. I hate MTV for introducing unplugged music.

He doesn't have the highest voice, there's a Canadian singer named Freddy Curci that can sing higher than him.
