We should all be so fortunate to have such dependable transportation - his regular oil changes prove how effective that practice can be. Good for you and many more miles in your Cobalt.....

I really like this, this just proves 😮that you don’t need big named brand oils to have a reliable car

Love it! I got a lot of cars right now but on my ‘10 Cobalt LT Coupe I’m at 160,465, hope to get 500k one day outta her maybe lol. I hadda do the water pump and wheel bearings and brakes that’s it. Behind a oil change again boutta do it. Love your little mods like the Oil Cap I need that. I see yours Manual though not Automatically that’s cool too. Is your other cobalt automatic? Love your videos keep it up❤ motivates me ALOT and makes me want to do more of my own vids

As they say, GMs run on (sometimes poorly) long after most other cars don't run at all. Well done!

Did you leave the car on the ramps the entire time? Just wondering if that slight angle would prevent all of the old oil from coming out. Great video. you're obviously doing something right.

I believe it helps all the oil come out , it moves the oil closer to the drain plug 👍👍

you should crack the oil filter loose before you staert draining the oil so all the oil drains down into the pan there sometimes can be about half a quart of old oil still inside and your just mixing it with the new stuff whenever you have a top side filter thats the best thing to do

Would love to know the oil chsnge intervals . Im guessing no more thsn 5000 miles . From my 15 yrs + experience as a technician, its not so much about what brand of oil you use .... It matters more how often you change it .

I usually change the oil between 4 and 5,000 👍👍
Which usually has the oil life monitor at about 50%.
A few times I let i the oil life monitor get close to 10% oil life and that was around 10,000 miles which is crazy, the oil might have held up but the filter looked terrible,

You didn’t use Amsoil to accomplish this? You mean you don’t have to spend $15 per quart to get a car over 300k miles??

I use super tech oil from Walmart and no problems. I helped a friend of mine change the Valve cover and gasket on his Chevy Sonic 1.8 liter. The inside of that engine looked like new. For anyone wondering: the pcv valve is built into the plastic valve cover. It was leaking oil so we spent the extra, do it right - do it one time.
