Hey, thanks for the feedback- as you can see we were working with a really crappy delay on this one, and probably too many people. But you’re not wrong, either. - A
Thank you so much for sharing this info. My son is about to go into the pipeline. As an Army Veteran I am impressed with AF special warfare training programs. The blank slate advice was great because I am inclined to want him to learn as much as he can before going in.
Lol I think you said apprentice training but my mind heard princess training 😂..which had my mind all wrapped up imagining you all as hoorah Disney princesses:😅 😅😂
I wish they talked about older recruits in phase one. I'm 32 and want to learn more about how it is, but I also know that if it's that important I should just join. Some insights would have helped.
Love the podcast, been following since the beginning. Would love to know if there any support AFSC attached to SW and what the lifestyle is like. Was watching another podcast about ranger batts and all the support units assigned to them. Never knew that was a thing
There are a ton! Special Warfare Mission Support AFSCs range from Intel to Comm to riggers to admin- and they’re the reason why the squadrons run at all. Great suggestion and we will get some of those folks on! -A
At about 54:40 I was literally doubled over laughing. Part of what he said later got clipped over, the part about being "Stepdad Aaron," so the guest is talking, and Aaron is in the background like, "I may just be your stepdad, but you better respect." Lmao
Just to make sure I’m tracking, you guys mentioned early on that TACPs are now not going to SWCC, is this a recent change? Or was I missing something? Thank you for all your help fellas.
So, there are a lot of changes happening, as always- and I’m not super sure which part you’re referring to (I will re-listen asap) to gain some clarity. Bottom line, yes, TACP go to SWCC right now. - A
I heard Aaron say it a few times, though I thought otherwise, but are TACP’s considered operators? Follow up, it sounds like TACP is moving closer and closer to AFSOC, is that a goal? to have more SOF tacps or just increase capabilities to make them specops capable?
The term ‘operator’ isn’t a real thing. People use it to label special operators, but it’s not an official designation. More of a colloquialism. TACP are ground combatants that conduct both SOF and conventional mission sets. TACP isn’t really ‘moving towards AFSOC’; they’re set in ACC- and they’re already ‘SOF capable’. Don’t confuse things like dive and freefall (advanced employment methods) for being ‘SOF capable’. - A
@@OnesReady Just a little bit more on the “operator” thing. It originally appeared in some Army SF pubs back in the Vietnam era. Then when Beckwith stood up Delta he wanted their people to be referred to as operators. Nowadays it’s kind of a catch all for the upper levels of SOF. The more you know…
I’ve got a question I get out army feb 2025 I’m a sgt right now would I be able to still be tacp as a ssg ? And also how hard is it to get a slot as prior service ?
TACP is a great service and a badass career. Side note...Did he say "punched a police horse in the mouth"? What's sad is that I know he didn't make it up. Smh
Dude talks too fast to get past the fact that phase 1 is Bullshit. Phase 2 is What? ANGLICO Has been doing this job for decades, successfully. Dang. USAF TACP is just Junior CCT. CCT is the Real Deal Varsity. This guy is talking in circles. Not a leader for TACP. Leave Air and Naval Gunfire and Artillery Forward Observation to Professionals. USMC, Rangers, SEALS and SF. Not a place for amateurs. You cannot atrophy. Dude Said Gucci. I'm certain he's a lawyer. doc in Galveston
DUDE! AARON! SHUUUUT UUUUUUP!!!!

It’s not Aaron, the timing is off due to having a tech issue during recording. Did our best in post to fix it. 🍑
Yoo haha chill
You must’ve missed the first part of the video

Even with the scuffed clips here and there, very cool video a lot of useful and good to know information!

Great interview with Chris. Also very illuminating on Phase 1 of their FTU process.
Thanks you Trey!🍑

@@OnesReady anything like the army's 17E?
Hey Peaches, no worries. I honestly didn't observe a difference. I thought Step Dad Aaron was just doing his thing...Love this channel!
The moments where it looks like Aaron is reacting on camera to his own voice really made the video for me 😂😂😂. Still some great information though!
Hahahahahahah this is awesome. I agree. - A

No more Hurlburt Field? No more doing pull-ups each time before you enter the building?

I heard them say that too and was curious…? @onesready

He said that they’ll go to SW Prep which is now known as SWCC at 03:20. Aaron’s technical difficulty was playing at the same time he said that

Make sure you buy a sweatshirt so you can have a Christmas party while at the FTU.

So Tacp still has water Con at sw prep still correct? anyone know
Yes
Nice, we have a dubbed japanese movie.
Haha yeah, I did the best I could on this one. It’s by far the worst so far. I had to get Riverside technical support to dive it and try to fix it. 🍑
