As someone who recently went through Special Warfare BMT, I'd just like to highlight a few things. You do not get extra sleep. In fact, you get 45 minutes less sleep Monday-Friday than everyone else. SW wakeup is 0500 while regular BMT is 0545 (Saturdays and Sundays are 0545 for everyone.) The PT is VERY different as SWCC cadre and coaches conduct it while the MTIs often just sit back and watch. Expect 30+ minute smoke sessions for failing to line water bottles up correctly before falling in for the warmup. We also got a swim day every week. You'll get weekly SW mentoring sessions (operators and other mission-critical personnel will come and speak to the entire cohort for a couple hours a week.) I personally went through an old Alcatraz building in August 2022 (326th Bulldogs) but I saw newer SW cohorts go through the big new Disneyland buildings. The MTIs will have higher expectations of you and will often attempt to make it a relatively more challenging experience than regular Air Force Basic Training. Out of the 40ish people from my dorm. 1 made it to predive along with 2 from the dorm downstairs. Not sure about the TACPs but it was overall a very rewarding and memorable experience. Rn I am trying to see if I can potentially get my packet through to cross-train back in, as I was medically disqualified while in basic. If that doesn't work I'll go SERE. Best of luck to anyone reading :) *The PRT is lots of fun*
It is amazing Skip the AF is doing a phenomenal job as are the ONES READY guys they have done so much for my son through their advice and videos , who by the way ships in July as a SWOE recruit....I mean hell his Devolpment coach is a Bronze star with Valor recipient thats the type of instruction they are putting out there for these youngsters. Truly amazing !!!
@@jamminjeff37 Good for him. He must be a determined young man. I had the privilege of working with some PJs at the Portland ANG base in Oregon, and they were some phenomenal human beings.
My fortune cookie just told me while watching this, “ you’re never too old to learn something new” .. I’m 27, just got a call back after sending In my pre-qual paperwork, sounds like good news to me 👍
Learn to be on your feet 10hrs just constantly doing stuff and moving . Change shoes socks inner soles .Get acustom to this toughen up your feet. And take care of them . This is such a over looked thing after 12 years on sitting at your school desk !
This is a great overview of the more detailed sessions. At some point, it would be informative for you guys to get specific about INTEGRITY. This generation needs it (my 22 and 25 year old daughters tell me that dishonesty is rampant and not considered a big deal). With your usual good stories and such, potential specwar folks need to hear it for real. Thanks. exHM2(FMF/SS) USN
When working at Naval Station Great Lakes on the recruit base, I saw tons of the bullshitters -- those who lack integrity -- trying to slip by cutting corners, having negative attitude, doing the minimum, etc. No surprise from the Canoe Crew Navy.
Have you guys done a video on DQ factors for joining the AF specifically going into SW? Like debt, ADHD, vision, and weight? Not sure if they are any different than the normal enlistment standard on the AF website
Awesome video today, gents. 💪🏼🇺🇲💪🏼 If anyone has more questions 🙄...seriously, just turn off your brain and go train. Wait, wait, one question (not a stupid question, Aaron, because I did my googling and found no answer to this and the recruiter has not replied to my text w/in 1 biz day, and CMSAF Bass doesn't reply to IG IM's, so you're the go-to guy): Can I bring my emotional support twin Great Danes to A&S???? 🐕🐕
But I fully remember you know peaches it's the time my flight members didn't want to go outside from the defact to line up in formation and you had one of your trainees begging me to to go with them and I got yelled at for not going with your flight because I wanted to go but than shit finds out in the classroom. And Arron I remember correctly you evaluated me during a run pt day you were in your pt gear training squadron gear. But if I quit I didn't have integrity why did I help people with willford hall help carry sea bags to the return office for the med hold people leaving even though my shoulder and arm was numb shocking me and the sport medicine doctors seemed like didn't want to help me but i thought I told Master (technical) even though he was selected for master the first week I was there sergeant rael the doctor didn't want to help me with. my shoulder. You know the med hold hq room living area is for the people that have tried killing themselves
I'm little sorry for doing that i should of trust the process better. My moral wasnt the greatest. I kind of wish i could go back i know my shoulder but that could be a excuse. But the city i live in hasnt been the greatest to me since i came back the cops if you went to high school if they see if your doing better than them they get jealous. I may consume a herb now because the man made medicine kind of messed up some of my organs im pretty sure. Over the counter but the studf they wanted to prescribe me gabapentin that shit messes you up bad. Heck you try do electrical work and the owner going crazy having dementia. Making you do work showing up way early. Than there places that want you to be serious And strict and i use that strictness and seriousness that master Sergeant rael taught me and now im threatening. I want to do paramedic school. I gotta get serious with money so i can pay for it.

@@hammstah9578 yeahhh. Color deficiency sucks if your trying to get any job that involves flying
@@ryandickson2224 my friend couldn't get into SERE because he's color blind, not sure if you've already attempted to get in but just keep that in mind
Only one dude made it through out of all the guys? That sucks.

It is truly amazing the amount of effort that the Air Force has put in to selecting, developing and training its special operators.

Cancel that. The UA-cam algorithm literally just recommended your Ep. 4 podcast to me 🤣
Is dive school still part of the CCT pipeline? Or is it just pre dive courses now?
Reporting what, the weather!
Will SR integrate the new Vortex smart scope into their sniper course ?
Let’s say- yes. Unless that’s cringey? Then no. SR doesn’t have a sniper course though, so that’s probably a big hurdle.
