- In this video I take a look at a Technics SA-5570 that was purchased by a client from a lady that had it locked up in storage for quite a few years. It has light usage and it was taken care of so it's going to be some light maintenance and, spoiler alert: a re-cap.
Thanks to all of you that have sub'd and have been extremely patient waiting for new uploads! I'm planning on having a Discord server up and running in a few days! Hope to see you there! - Наука та технологія
I have a Technics SA-5570 that appears to be in very good shape, The last time I used it, which was many years ago, it worked fine. Recently, I plugged it in and the volume is quite low, even with the volume control at maximum. Any ideas as to what could cause such a low volume?
Hi! Thanks for watching and sorry for the long delay in replying. Low volume output could be caused by quite a few things... Dirty potentiometers / buttons, final or pre-output transistors failing, leaky capacitors... Most people try cleaning the potentiometers (volume, balance, etc knobs) and buttons / switches first before sending it into a repair shop.
I had a repair shop look at my SA-5570. After doing a thorough cleaning, it is working fine. Thanks for your ideas.@@daveytechca
