Kano’s moves:
• Square: Auto-Combo
• Triangle: Shoulder Charge [Infinite]
• Circle: Throw and Pounce
• R1+Square: Taunt
• R1+Triangle: Headbutt [Has some kind of spread effect to it]
• R1+Circle: [I don’t quite know what the fuck it is, but I love it. It’s the move where he slides along the floor while putting his hands in the air]
• Square+Triangle: Butterfly Knife Uppercut [Infinite]
• Triangle+Circle: Butterfly Knife Combo
• Circle+Square: [Nothing]
There’s a codebreaker code for Shaolin Monks known as the “Boss Fix Code”, which is known for fixing glitches certain bosses and giving moves back to bosses who lack them when they’re manually hacked. I tried to get it working for Kano here but, unfortunately, no dice. The game would just crash for me personally if I tried to use the codes, unfortunately.
Kano is slightly neutered if you just manually hack to play as him. Many of the bosses are, technically, but it’s significantly more noticeable with Kano, who doesn’t even innately have his projectile attack or his trademark cannonball move. What you get left with is…well, a really bland character honestly. An auto-combo, two infinites, a throw attack, a taunt (for some reason), a relatively useless headbutt, and another combo attack which doesn’t do a whole lot. Kano isn’t really that amazing, even if he did have his other moves, but then again he’s an optional, secret boss in the game, so that is to some extent probably to be expected. The fact that they bothered to include him at all as a secret boss is honestly awesome, and even though like Mileena he feels a bit limited, it’s not really something that ends up impacting upon the boss fight. I mean, he’s not supposed to be played as, so I can’t be too harsh on his moveset, though he’s certainly not a character I’d want to try to playthrough with.

I’ll be honest and say this is, most probably, going to be last year of consistent uploads. I’d like to cover every series which hasn’t been covered eventually (especially stuff like Smash Bros), but the simple truth is that I’m really going to need a break from fighting games for a while to rekindle my interest in them. There are also a number of other projects which I’ll want to move my focus to for a while, which I’ll get into later down the road, mainly as I just want to branch out a little more and try a few different things, especially after six years of doing the same thing. Thanks to everyone who’s been continuing to watch up until this point (and there’s a fair few of you, especially as I reached 4900 subscribers over my break), and I hope you’ll continue to follow the channel up until the hiatus.
Also, if you’re wondering why I accidentally pressed the R3 button in this video, it’s because I had been playing Nioh earlier in the day before recording this and did it out of muscle memory.

Kano didn't have too much to him, anyway. It's even worse because the boss fight against him is a 2-Vs-1 with you teaming up with Jax
Makes sense, yeah. He really was just more of a bonus fight than anything else.

Kano is severely basic in this game, which I dont like to complain about this game because its such a good beat em up, and the only one I've seen on the console
There's a decent number of beat-em-ups on the PS2 at least, not sure about the Xbox though (apart from SpikeOut Battle Street anyhow). On PS2 you had big series like God of War and Yakuza, as well as things like Urban Reign, The Bouncer, EoE, Dynasty Warriors, The Warriors, and various others. It was a pretty solid console for beat em ups, actually.
@@AdmiralMcFish when I thought of beat em ups, I was thinking more pure beat em up. Since so many games nowadays play like god of war and yakuza, games like this are usually what I think of when I think beat em up. I definitely enjoy yakuza and GoD though.

Is it possible to play Ko-op as Boss characters?
Or a combination of any characters for that matter?
Pretty much, yes; you'd just have to do the hacking process for player 2 as well. I imagine it would be quite difficult, but probably pretty novel.
