Good review, thx. I've been shooting with the Z30 for the past 2 weeks. Something you have not mentioned, it's a great camera for still photography. I took some amazing night pictures with long exposure and utilised older F mount lenses with the adapter. Video stabilization is a weak point in my view. My iPhone 13 has a wider angle and incredible stabilization matching my GoPro 10. But as a stationary camera Z30 is great and clearly wins against under 1k Sony cameras such as ZV1 or ZV-E10, in my opinion. I miss the EVF, that's all.

I got one last week and am struggling with the battery. It takes a long time to charge and can only be charged by usb plugged into a computer. That computer has to be awake because if it goes to sleep the camera wont charge. It is easy and fun to use when the battery isn't dead. I have reached out to Nikon to see if this is a common issue. No response yet

I've been wondering if filming a whole segment with the background blurred is a good idea or if that might create other issues as I move my hands or show an item.
Frankly, I've been having trouble finding videos about how to use this camera for filming. It seems all are focused on photography and that's a content gap I'd hope someone would fill. How to create certain effects and techniques for videography.
Whether or not filming an entire segment with the background blurred is a good thing will depend on what type of content you are shooting and the intended use of the content. If you are shooting something with a single (or may be two) subject(s) and which may be in a single location, such as an interview, a documentary, a vlog, or a testimonial, then having a blurred background may be a good choice for your usage needs as it would draw attention to your subject. If you are shooting something that tells a story, such as a short film, an indie film, a travel film, a documentary, or a feature film, then you may not want to use a blurred background for all your shots. Some shots may feature the background in a story, so the background will need to be in focus with greater depth-of-field. You may also need to consider maintaining continuity when switching between shots. The more the background is a part of the story, the more you will have to consider how much depth-of-field you may need for your particular shot or scene.

I read some article saying there is oversampled 4k on Z30 but I didn't found it in Nikon official Manual?
The new Nikon Z30 uses the entire 20.9MP sensor. So it would be considered oversampling. >Mark

I found my Z30 always crop when switching from still image to video regardless of 1080 or 4k.
People were under impression that record time unlimited ! Because nobody goes through manual these days ! Nicely picked up points :p

Can I use my android phone to bridge my z30 to connect to my Facebook to do a live stream? Or do I need to get a card to do that?
Yes you can! All you need is the Snapbridge app on your phone and then connect the Z30.

Audio sounds good to me. If my UA-cam channel takes off I may get a Z30. I like the swivel screen that allows the users to see themselves while filming. Great for UA-cam. Nothing here about cost though, unless I missed it.
I actually thought the audio from the on board mic sounded better than that rode which sounded really thin.

I heard from one reviewer that it overheated after 30min outdoors. And the image is rather bland and need some color grading after. Pay attention how far they need to hold the camera from there face to fit in frame with that kit lens. At that price we shouldn’t have to buy another $700 lens to vlog Also no inbody stabilization, so I’m going with m50 2. I will say 4k isn’t necessary for UA-cam, you can upscale 1080 in post.

Which camera is the best for video purpose nikon z30 vs sony zve10??? I watch the lot of video's ... the sony zve10 have crop issue in 4k video and shacki footage and nikon z30 are only 4k video footage 28min only bcz of heating issue and nikon have are not crop the footage in 4k suggest me which are better for me I want to purchase the 60k to 70k budget camera pls tell me ? and which have good stabilizer video tell me ??

Just needs a 10 or 11mm F1.8 lens Id buy one. Not much good without at least one wide lens. Sony have only just solved this

In what way? I looked up the R10 after reading your comment, and for a vlogger, the Z30 seems to be the better choice for a number of reasons including price, built-in mics, and continuous recording time. The Canon might be better for someone leaning more towards photography or professional video versus vlogging.
@@techietam Well, putting the EVF, faster shooting speeds, higher resolution sensor, and slightly bigger battery aside. When it comes to video: 1)the R10 not only also got stereo microphones, but also got a multi-function shoe to plug external microphones without cables. 2) The Canon also beats the Nikon when it comes to continues recording; as Nikon is limited to 35minutes before overheating in 4k, while the Canon, based on reviews, can go beyond 60 minutes in oversampled mode and unlimited when shooting in regular 4k mode. 3) In addition, the R10 got a cropped 4k 60p mode. 4) The r10 also have a better focusing system for both video and stills 5) the Canon can shoot in 10bit HQ mode 6) the Canon can stream directly to UA-cam over wifi.
So overall, I do believe that the R10 is the better content creation camera for both photo and video work. The R10 is 21 grams heavier and $270 more expensive for the body. So, one must decide if the extra cost is worth it. I personally believe that the price is worth it if only for the EVF and the better focusing system alone. The EVF, is useful for both photo and video work. Also, Content Creators may concentrate on Video, but they also do photos for thumbnails, and instagram posts.
They need to bring out a pro cinema camera ASAP.. to compete with Sony and canon, otherwise they are dead!!!!

My S22 Ultra destroys iPhone 13 Pro.. Lol..planning to get this Z30 for vlogging style content. I have the Z9 for serious work and the fact that I can use my Z lenses (24 1.8 S should be creamy) on this is icing on the cake..

Another boring camera for the market , when camera manufactures gonna make some fun and different ? May be a full spectrum camera , may be a waist lvl view finder , make something interesting you life are short , stop wasting time making another same camera on the market again .
