- A social experiment in giving and human behavior… Does appearance change how people are treated? Created by magician Rich Ferguson, his friend Erik dressed up like a homeless person and TRIED to GIVE money to people. FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK: bit.ly/RichFB Interestingly, it seemed that those that had the least to give where the ones that gave… while the general public ignored obvious attempts to talk and gift money TO them. In general, the experiment supported that people are generally good hearted and that things balance out in the end. We attempted to give $500 between us. At the end of the entire day, we were WITHIN .50 CENTS of where we started! That was the most surprising result of all. We set out to get reactions by pranking people, but what we got was better.

Do a social expirement where you walk behind people and then approach them (with a wallet in your hand) saying: Is this your wallet? Watching how many people will say yes and how many say no!

I believe that's already been done before and you're right a lot of people did take it.
An addition to your expirement: When they say yes you have to include another guy who says that it it his wallet for example : "Heyy , wait a second. Is it your wallet ?" -- "Ähhhh , yes , it is mine , thank you !" " Another guy joins the conversation and say someting like "Hey , I think that´s my wallet , look , my ID ". Might be interesting.

Me and my mother are in the terminal when I saw a beggar, I ask my mom for money to help but she refused saying that if they just work hard they will not beg for somene else money, when we get in the bus I explain that mom when somebody is in need pls help them because the importance is We GIVE, we dont care what they will do in the money but THE IMPORTANT IS WE GIVE, THAT WE ARE A BETTER PERSON TRYING TO TO MAKE THE WORLD A LITTLE BETTER TO LIVED.

When I was 7 I saw a homeless man on the street. On that day was my birthday and my parents gave me £50 to spend. Instead I gave it to the homeless:) I felt really good❤️

This is why I hate the earth, specifically Northern America, because you often see people on the sidewalk asking for money, some give some don't but people always think oh he's criss-crossed on the ground" HE MUST BE POOR!" Nobody takes the time to acknowledge others. I mean there are many poor people in Africa asking for money, but others do not have the courtesy of giving, because they're just as poor. I feel like people have really got accustomed to judging a book by it's cover. And even if you acknowledge that person, and still do not spare some change, how sick are you? They're less fortunate, even If they spend it on drugs, that's their decision, and when you don't give it may be very possible they actually do want to buy food.

I always carry a spare £10 in my bag incase I see someone in need. I'm 14. I have probably given away £80 - £100 in total and I'm very proud of myself. It's mostly money I get from birthdays and that but they need it more than I do.

Simpsonrichardson Homeless people for the most part live in the street and have to rely on others for help so many of them are more nicer to people. Wealthy people have people who are friends or associates just because of their wealth and have to go to high means to protect their money since it's practically like a target on you're back if some people know you're rich. This is just a broad assumption of the lifestyle some rich and homeless people have and you can definitely find some wealthy people who are nicer than some homeless people.

I think its related to the amount of humanity(empathy) people have. Less human people can be exposed to suffering and not respond, many in the middle control their exposure to control their thoughts and behavior e.g. lalalalala I can't hear you, look away, etc.

I actually don't have that much money, i live in Argentina and a simple coffe is like 20 dollars (250 "pesos" at least) so i would have taken JUST a little of the guys money.
