    This is almost 5 years ago, a lot has changed in that time. I might do another video to show what has all changed.

    Good work for Christ and your Church family. I do that at my Church, a smaller Church but growing. I look every week for more knowledge in my craft, and vids like this one are good. Thanks

      Thank you so much! I actually get fairly good recognition at my church, but that's often not the case.

    I know my duties have changed during the past year. With no events other than church in the church building, I haven't had special events to plan sound for, set up, and run. Instead, we've done a lot of work to beef up our streaming and broadcast systems as well as set up and tear down for outside evening services during the summer and for our outside Christmas event. So things have still been busy, but they have been busy in a different way. When things return to normal in the church and events go back inside, we have a fourth area with a sound system to manage - a building project that was started before the pandemic (Worship Center, Fellowship Hall, Multipurpose Room, and now a Children's Wing with a gathering area all their own). I'll be recruiting and training new people help run things in these areas.

      Yeah people in our field have been busier than ever. Recruiting after reopening will be interesting. Not sure quite what to expect

    Well done Zahkman! Thanks for sharing what you do as an audio tech. I've never heard "low places" plaid during a church service before. That was awesome.

      Ha ha. I thought it was an interesting choice of lyrics for a church; a song about a drunk who keeps going back to alcohol as a crutch & acts like a jerk to those around. 😆🙈

      Tyler Hoagland yeah I never expected to get a job at my church, they offered it to me out of the blue. Just keep serving faithfully. Since getting on staff I've learned that we will always hire someone already volunteering before an outsider

    Unfortunately those sennhieser hand helds do not hold up well over time they begin to have interference and we had one that would randomly peak with a static noise during practice

    • @churchaudiolife
      @churchaudiolife  Рік тому

      That’s probably not do with the mic dying at all but interference changes in different locations all the time. I’m having to redo the frequency coordination here too because of things like interference. Happens with all kinds of mics

    @Zahkman- Great video Sir, thanks for sharing. I have a question on 0:57, is this a room where you stack up all the amps and other audio consoles. Appreciate your reply as I am doing research on power amps placement in a certain environment to help boost its performance.

    • @churchaudiolife
      @churchaudiolife  7 років тому

      Yeah, that is what we call our amp room. It has all of the amplifiers which power our main speakers. It also has some Dante digital audio networking routers, the router for our personal monitors, foyer sound system amps, regular network, and lighting dimmers.

      It’s a distributed ring system and we use EV FRI boxes. Mostly EV amps. EV subs, But they are actually under powered for the room

    • @churchaudiolife
      @churchaudiolife  5 років тому

      Sorry didn't see this comment till now, got stuck in the likely spam folder. All the things you planned to buy seem like a good system. For mixing board the QL5 will likely be a great choice. You are used to Yamaha, and they overall are easier to learn than most other boards, yet sound great. I'm assuming the 25 singers are a choir and not individually miked? if so then the QL5 have plenty of I/O (ins and outs).
