- Did you think Wisconsin would be immune to the problems that plague the rest of the country? Cause they aren't.
In this video, I explored the capital of Wisconsin, Madison. While it's a wonderful place, they are starting to see what happens when you open yourself up to a liberal invasion.

State st. Nice shopping district
Will have to see if you did Milwaukee, WI -- Many more immigrant areas - south side--- I always wanted to check the airport area to see if they are harboring illegals in those hotels nearby.
Why are we blaming the young for being soft, of all the problems they inherited? There's too many poisons in food and forever chemicals. They inherited a broken economy, while the boomers voted for their interests and left social security debt to be paid by the younger. Boomers and Gen X reared millennial, why did their rearing end up making soft children?
I like that Michigan hoodie. #1 baby.

The homeless problem is not just Wisconsin its in every state in the union .
The United States government can send millions of dollars to foreign countries but not help its own people off the streets.
Yeah they care more about helping illegal immigrants then united states citizens.
Can’t just build housing for people for nothing. That’s not fair to those that worked 2 jobs and saved their money for years to put a down payment on their homes! Nothing is free! The homeless need to get off drugs, work 2 jobs and save save save. There are 6 million job openings in the USA. Get two if you need to.
Indeed they do
@@dalepxp8963 Yeah but OP has a good point about sending all the (BILLIONS) overseas and to illegals. All that comes out of the economy in the form of taxes/debt ,and it hurts the employee and the employers, especially small businesses.
MAGA.
Proof that you can build pretty looking Projects, but it's STILL The Projects.
I checked out those apartments while watching this video and was astounded. The interiors and exteriors are nice, modern, and new, with decent amenities and well-designed floorplans. They would be considered luxury apartments in my area and rent for 3x the amount. SMDH.
Proof that no matter how nice the projects are and no matter how much you give them; crime will not stop. They will also run it into the ground. All projects started out shiny and new and nearly free. The only reason projects look so bad, is because the people that reside in them, make them bad. People should be thankful when something is given to them nearly free, at someone else's expense. It is never enough for these adult age children.
Welfare and fatherless children are the bane of this community.
Affordable housing is good, but I thought by now people would know not to build huge Projects. Just concentrates all the poverty and crime together.
@@meatmachines@meatmachines Many counties won't even zone for multi-family housing, even expensive townhomes. NIMBYs. It would be great if so-called "luxury" apartments were incentivized to allow a small portion of the units to be subsidized housing. There are a couple of developments like that in WA state. Landlords say they love it; because they are the only units that are guaranteed to have on-time payments every month.
@@WebsInYourHead the race of the freeloaders/criminals is the same from state to state and has plenty to do with crime. Eugenics has positive and negative races.

I have friends who own and work for moving companies in Madison; high-end moving. They`ve made small fortunes moving people out of Chicago, and into Wisconsin. Madison is about 50 miles N of the Illinois border, and the wealthy can`t get out of Chicago fast enough.
I'm a Northern Illinois resident and I'm glad to hear that. Chicago voted for this so they deserve it.
@@blackcherry6877 That's what they always say but isn't true. Chicago has a good chunk of unions that I'm paying for that doesn't benefit people in my area much. I probably pay more in property taxes than most people in the suburbs do with more expensive homes. That and we're neglected by the state and should just make Chicago their own state cause they're bankrupting us.
@@blackcherry6877 Mansion? Your mom's basement doesn't count. The city of Chicago doesn't have much of that. The suburbs offer the better quality of living but that isn't Chicago. Putting your dumb solar farms and wind turbines in our area cause you need power but don't want the hazards solar panels bring or gawdy wind turbines. My problem with Madison, as it gets more expensive to live there and the neighborhoods get more sketchy, the Madisonian's move out of Dane county and move into Jefferson County bringing their high tax and let-wing mentality with them.
Thanks, Nick, for featuring my alma mater in your travels through the midwest! I SO enjoyed the virtual visit. Best city in USA. - Another WI resident
Yeah, I live here and thought it's changed and has problems like any other city, just doing a drive by and getting comments from people who actually have never been here... Well you can do that with virtually any city. I don't like Biden and don't like the taxes, or the cost of rent, but the city... Still love it
Hey I'm a Sconi here and I'm with you and agree with you. Madison literally looks like it did in any of the last 3 decades I've been familiar with it. I can't even imagine what this guy's video would be like if he did this video during Halloween! If homeboy was gonna film state street like that he could have at least gone out at night not the daytime where everyone's sleeping off Mifflin and Big10 games. It's important to remember this guy's entire UA-cam series on this is literally just a ploy to push radical politics. I actually live in St. Paul, MN now and frankly most daysIi go out here I find myself thinking this is the most annoying woke liberal place, then I realize Madison really isn't even that hardcore liberal. When you get most students at UW Madison talking about their beliefs they might come off liberal, but they're definitely more right wing in their ideologies. There's definitely an air of libertarian type mentality around the Madison Isthmus but it just gets overshadowed by mainstream politics...But since they don't vote for right wingers people need a reason to cry and whine over a scapegoat. I actually refuse to vote for the longest list of reasons and people attack me over that too and they don't even get why they're angry. They usually get quiet when i point out to them that I wouldn't vote for who they want to win an election and my refusal to vote makes their vote count for more 😂It's so ridiculous honestly the logic of some of these people. I don't understand how so many grown adult Americans are legitimately adults who have been around for more than a few election cycle yet they're still so foolish to think the person who wins an election even matters that much. I mean they're all politicians at the end of the day who are like the pre-internet, proto -influencers or perhaps just adults who live in the whimsical world of adult pageants. I happen to be an Archaeologist/Anthropologist among holding other diplomas. I'm willing to put my professional reputation out on the line here and say most people with this mentality like in this video really just don't get how things work. I would also argue this is a coping strategy for Americans who don't understand why we aren't #1 and have insane levels of purchasing power like our nation has enjoyed for nearly a century. Instead of looking at geopolitics and instead of looking at global economics, they just need someone to blame. It kind of reminds me of self flagellation and Spanish/Italian Inquisitions. People are just that desperate to point the finger of blame at the situation they're in rather than doing anything reasonable or productive about it. They don't get that everyone else with a halfway decent educations regardless of political party leanings sense the same idiocracy with them as the woke people. Have a nice day badger buddy!
@@davidwork1539 Love how we're all basically in this same boat and people are trying to label us as liberals. God forbid we aren't the woke mob they want to cast us as. THE HORROR!!!! lol sorry i had to.

It’s weird how Tenney-Lapham has all these beautiful older homes just blocks from one of the biggest clusters of shelters and strung-out junkies in Madison. In summer you can see the junkies and homeless smoking fentanyl and occasionally fighting under the trees in Reynolds Park, just a hundred yards or so from parents (who pay out the nose for this neighborhood) and kids swinging on the swingset. I feel like one big problem with social policies is it treats everyone within a certain income bracket the same. Like if someone doesn't make much money, they qualify for low income housing. Some people will be grateful and take good care of it. Some don't care at all and will destroy it. Those who will appreciate it should most definitely be helped. Those who just want to destroy can stay on the streets.

I live in the beautiful State of Montana next to Yellowstone National Park. 🏔️Homelessness and “migration” (😏) are now a problem here as well. Montana has always felt so far removed from the woes of the World 🌎. It has been a huge “wake up call”
to witness this national problem encroaching in to Montana, over the last 3 1/2 years. “Migrants” are everywhere. I would imagine that it is quite shocking for them to find themselves in such a cold environment. Most of them are dressed for summer. Thankfully, Montana is not a liberal State and we are not crumbling like the radically left areas of this Country. Sadly, people are coming here in droves from California, Texas, Illinois, Washington and Oregon. Bringing all of their problems with them and making it difficult for Montana natives to find work or housing. It’s a mess. 🫤

Homelessness is an accuse to blame your problems on being homeless. Even the college students and teachers are trying to become homeless and live on campus in tents, instead of failing their exams and having to move to LA, portland, san franbozo, or denver into a tent there.

Love your videos! Great representation of Madison,WI. The problem stems from the current governor, mayor and city council. You did not show the many panhandlers at stoplights. Yes, downtown smells like piss.
Twenty years ago Madison always made Money Magazine's list of best places to live. Both Madison and Money Magazine are long GONE!
Apparently it's because we're dealing with an ULTRA WOKE LEFTIST mayor right now here in Madison. And we have a corrupt governor running the state down to the ground.
What do you mean? Madison is still winning awards..
Cool you don't mind being wrong.
@@jeffiehl462 I have lived in Madison since 2002 and have seen the decline. The only reason it's not worse than it is is weather. The prospect of bitter cold winters tamps down a lot of the dysfunction that Austin, TX and the rest have to tolerate.
@@lesliecas2695 2002 wow, like that is a long time. LOL You have the right to be wrong.
I spent a fair amount of time hanging out in Madtown back in the 90s. It was a great town. Now? I was there last year and it's a woke, progressive cesspool of one bad idea after another. When you think "whining, screaming liberal that loses their shit when confronted with anyone with a different opinion", that's Madison in a nutshell.
So in Wisconsin for the most part only three areas vote majority Democrat. Madison, Milwaukee, and one county way up North were the rich people retire from Madison
The rest of the state voted Republican for the last fifty years.
My parents who are both FIB's are in a Democrat club in their county that has maybe twenty members. We were adopted so I have no FIB Blood in me.
Enough to make it blue. I can't see that state voting Trump.
@@W81Researcher
Who would vote for Trump after the first 4 years of failure is the question
@@331Grabber first four years of failure how? At least with Trump I would already have a job and not have to play a manipulative social game to get hired. I also should not have to get along with people who I don't feel align with my priorities or standards.
You said FIB😂love it!
@@W81Researcher Probably just shouldn't vote for anybody. I can't see how someone can be so short sighted to cast all the blame and doubt on one group of politicians while they think it's impossible for the rest. At the end of the day they're all still politicians and they don't know how to run anything. What they know how to do is adult pageantry and they basically wrote the book for social media influencers by pushing the occupation through it's analog years.
The man knows his audience!!
I dont belong here then 😂
indeed he does 🤣 love his intros
he called me a sicko 🤣
Mappy gets it.
I remember my first joint.
@@UA-camUpdatesAreRuiningIt I remember a few years ago when every city didn't look like a dystopian nightmare zombie apocalypse.

@@UA-camUpdatesAreRuiningIt lol! Thank you Bot.
You don't exist.
This UA-cam channel should be called "Travels with Mappy...and oh yeah, Nick Johnson too."
I live in Adams county and unfortunately healthcare here sucks so have to go to Madison for certain doctors. Other than that is only time I go there. Only go to Milwaukee to go to ham radio outlet store.
Madison pretty much blows. Not like it use to be when my daughter went to college here about 20 years ago. Then again I think ALL places have changed and most not for the better.
Nothing better than a Saturday Nick drop on my beloved home state !
Thanks for all you do Nick. Oh yea , that beautiful blue water at 1:15…
Obviously not July through September when the water is green from algae blooms.
Thanks for the video dude
2 Glarus Beers❤❤! The original Town "Glarus" is in Central Switzerland. There we don't have a Glarus Beer.😢 In Glarus (Schwanden) gibts die Adler Brauerei und Adler Bräu
Hey Nick, great video as always. Madison resident here, I just wanted to mention that while the TKE boys might be soft, there are definitely a lot of party animals amongst the college population. It seems you might have just caught the city on a sleepy night.
Also, I wanted to mention that YES the city is extremely left-wing. Moreso than any city I've ever been to, and I've been to Portland and Seattle. At least those cities are big enough to where there are enough non-left people by volume to have some kind of community. But here it feels like there's really just no part of the population that isn't left-wing. You walk down state street and see flyers for communist events with karl marx on them and it's all washed in the colors of the trans flag. It's wild. And you see flyers like this all over.
Sad
If Wisconsin going down, we all going down.
I am just 20 minutes south Madison just far enough away in Spotted Cow town
Looks like paradise compared to NYC and San Francisco.
