I truly think this is one of the best and nicely filmed/edited cabin construction videos out there. It gives the viewer such a nice and warm feeling and also gives great insight as to how exactly you're constructing the foundations, which is invaluable. Thank you.
Fellow guitarist here, as well as a father who built a similar cabin with my son. This video is everything great about life summed up in 3 minutes. Well done on all fronts.
i like how that magical guitar coaxed people out of the forest in a trance hypnotised to help build the cabin.. also like how it made time lapse so fast ! I need one of those magical guitars.. nice build
One of the things I like about UA-cam is we can keep track of the number of A-s Holes there are around us. 80 and counting. Stopped in to watch a cabin get built and kind of drifted off when the guitar thing started. Nice I liked that.
I just wish I could have smelt the inside of that cabin on completion ...... although I'm sure it would have been as stimulated as my sight and sound. A truly memorable video, congratulations.
Sir, You are truly blessed by God. May you continue your mission, may the road always meet your feet, may the sun be at your face, and the wind at your back. May the Lord shelter and carry thru. Sincerely, Stephen
oh.....my......goddess! This was amazing! I love the film style! The music was beautiful and I have never seen anyone build a house this way! Walls up first. You just blew my mind. That looks so spacious! Overall great video man!
one word: Splendid! I bet my wife wishes I could do this type of jobs and save our home money all the time...she's not alone; i wish so too. Thanks for the inspiration
That is one fine little house, and I just love the inside of it! BRAVO!!!!!! love the music you played too.Very talented. Greetings from Australia - (Sydney).
This is my dream. Build my land from the ground up like how our founding fathers built this country from the ground up. It would give me 100% complete control and stability.
fantastic guitar pickin. you've got a grand temporary cabin too. great job on both. will there be more info on this yet? maybe a tour of the finished product would be cool. thanks for sharing this inspiration. Cheers from Manitoba, Canada.
+Marcos 989 Hey Marcos maybe excuses like "I slipped" or "I heaved" and "my choice was changed for me" is a valid excuse for liberal slaves like yourself but here in America we take responsibility for our own actions. Let me guess....liberal...subject/slave NOT free Citizen...?
Such a beautiful video and music I almost forgot. Where is the sink, bathroom and fireplace? Also I would put a loft. It stays so much warmer in winter in the loft.
Excellent production quality! Really enjoyed the presentation. However, I am a little concerned about the build quality. The cross bracing looks a bit sketchy to me and did you use bolts or screws to attach the girts to the posts? No insulation? No plumbing? No fireplace for the winter time? No battens for the siding? What if those boards expand or contract with the weather? If they're too tight, they'll buckle and warp badly if they expand. If they shrink, you'll have huge gaps between boards. Ok for an accessory building perhaps but this might get a bit uncomfortable in the winter.
thats great!your so called cabin is a house for us here in phillipines, wish we could build something like that but no budjet..our house was wipe out by storm haiyan..
This seems a variation of pole building. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THE ROOF LOAD CAN BE CARRIED BY A 2 by 8 on edge top plate. I FEEL he may need some collar ties to help hold it together also. ITS a temporary cabin in a warm climate. I GUESS deep footings are not an issue here Temporary or seasonal are the key words. BUNKHOUSE?ITS a nice cabin and with some tweaking could be much better built. BEAM TOP PLATES. BEAM SILLS AND COLLAR TIES. Stud framing IS pretty easy and workS well so....
love the video and production quality but why did you not put those bricks down below a frost or settlement line? That shit will sink and jack out your cabin...
Hey Hope, Very nice, I would live there. If it was you ( in the video ) playing the guitar, then you would be a natural on a classic 3 string Cigar Box Guitar, in open G. G, D, G, some 1 finger bar chord's and your makin' music. Take care, C.

Nice crosspicked lines - I have to finger pick that stuff. I've always loved Tony Rice and Doc Watson's ability to rip through crosspicked lines.

Really nice build.
Really nice music.
But you don't get very cold for vert long there do you?
that, sir, was beautiful
What was the total cost of this? I love how it is built and I also love the film style and music!
Great music, I love it ^_^
Great video. Love the cabin..Did you lay those brick piers on the dirt or did you have some concrete poured?
I enjoyed this.
Interesting build thanks!

Damn it should be strong. When is the interior done?
Very nicely done. Are there plans available for this cabin? I would like to get some!
This is brilliant
This style of building is seen in pole barns.
