nice video, this was exactly my problem. the fuel was old, orange, and smelled bad just as you described. once i took apart the carb and cleaned it, it started on the first pull.

Keep them coming Robby , I really enjoy your videos sir. When I'm done rehabbing my sprinkler system in our front yard it will be time to get my mower and line trimmer up and running. I already have got my leaf blower up and going . Take care and catch you on your next video.

Great video, I appreciate how you get right to it, don't waste words or time. My tiller is doing the exact same thing so I'm gonna go see it this helps.

Great video, my unit was running. and it stopped not sure why. I will do what you did, hopefully it will fix the problem. Q: the hose that connects to the gas tank on top, my broke off, how important is it? its been running for years with it broken. Thanks a bunch

That is a vent tube. Just make sure not dirt is making its way in with it broken.

I have this exact tiller. Can you tell me what size tools I would need? I am *NOT* a mechanic but I need to try and work on this myself. Mine is doing basically the same thing but it has good gas in it so I'm guessing the carb is clogged.

You need a basic tool set with standard and metric wrenches, sockets, pliers and screw drivers. Something like this. www.harborfreight.com/hand-tools/tool-sets/tool-set-with-case-130-piece-64263.html

Will pouring only sta-bil into my MTD garden tiller’s empty tank and letting it set for 3 months cause the carburetor to foul up ? My tiller won’t start now and the spark plug is dry. Thanks in advance

Sta-bil is meant to mix with gas. I would suggest letting it sit dry for long periods of no use.
