    Hi 911, could you help me with a quick question? If you find rocks with about 50% mineralization and metal weighs around 600 pounds per cubic foot, does this mean that the rocks you're finding weigh around 300 pounds per cubic foot? If a non-mineralized rock weighs 19 pounds per cubic foot and metal rocks weigh so much more, does this mean that all we have to do is just find super heavy rocks? And if the rocks are so heavy that we can't even lift them then they are probably worth a lot per ton? Am I right in this logic? If anyone else knows I'd appreciate an answer cause I'm not 100% sure that I'm correct. Thanks. And thank you for the great videos!!

    • @911mining
      @911mining  5 років тому +1

      Not exactly, some non mineralized rocks are insanely heavy some are light the mineral is all different weights as there are different minerals

    You have talked about trenching and other exploratory processes but have never put them to video.
    I know your viewers would love to see this part of the prospecting / mineral exploration process since most have no idea what it takes to discover the ore body and determine its size.
    I encourage you to consider this in future videos.

      We will eventually, we are only funded by exploration work and mineral properties we option or sell. Most hired jobs in fact almost all don't want us showing any work done. Which means we have to take out a permits, pay for equipment and we don't often do it on our own properties because its expensive and we often will option or sell before this point. We eventually will. We had this in mind last year for trenching till logging did it for us accidentally and saved us money.

      Absolutely, we have so many awesome mineral properties if we spend all our money on one the others get left. We have to option a few more first.😉

    I just about fell out when you said metal, is that correct? Or are you saying mineral? @12 minutes you said “solid chalcopyrite”, so is more silver or more gold? Sample 3 really made my finger back up, as I watched this over several times, the quartz really shows the sulfides. I’m seeing a lot more than when started watching. If you would, please talk about the color and weight of those rocks. These are fabulous specimens. You guys continue to really hammer it out in BC! Warmer weather and more prospecting. UNREAL VIDS!

    • @911mining
      @911mining  5 років тому

      I guess solid metal is a poor term if I used it lol, solid chalcopyrite isn't fully metal it's also made up of sulfur. Gold runs with iron...alot so do other elements..could be a part per billion could be 100 parts per million you still have chalcopyrite but now you have other elements that make a deposit viable. Chalcopyrite is a big one around here for gold we see gold running with it a lot. Good to hear our videos are helping out. 👍

      Yeah, that’s some juicy stuff CP, totally hard rock mining. I’m fascinated 110% on geology and I think the Rockies are still hiding huge deposits. Go classify and pan that beautiful stream of yours and get some nuggets! Metal detect too!

    What's the blue stuff? Is that the malachite you talk about in some videos and is it something I should be looking for? Don't remember seeing anything like it in the quartz in Norway but you seem to find it all the time.

    • @stevetreloar6602
      @stevetreloar6602 5 років тому +1

      Malachite is green and Azurite is blue. Both are copper minerals formed by weathering of the copper sulphides in this case.

    How much does assay testing cost?

    • @911mining
      @911mining  5 років тому

      Varies on ASSAY, tons of variables including size, kind of ore, if its trace or ore grade, preparation of sample, how many elements assayed. A 50 element ICP is around $50, there's generally a work order fee of about 40 dollars per batch sent in

    What is chalcopyrite what is sulfide what is the benefit of all that what minerals are we looking for what minerals are we not looking for what good is fool's gold in the rocks this really makes little sense to me I guess I have to take a college course to know what you're talkin about anyway thanks for the video

    • @911mining
      @911mining  5 років тому +2

      A lot of ores mined are sulfide ores. There are a ton of sulfide minerals, the term fools gold is a bad term bec as use while it may not be sold gold can contain gold. Chalcopyrite is a copper, iron, sulfur combo also a sulfide and often found with gold or with gold in it replacing iron. Never right off sulfides we have found more viable showings than not in sulfides than anything else.
