What city are you from? I think your accent is clear and nice. I lived in Guangdong for almost two years and many people speak a bad Mandarin, I mean far from the standard from Beijing
I think the teacher is from Shanghai, or at least she lives there. I was thinking the same about her accent -- it's perfect. I actually don't like Beijing accent; teacher's accent is better IMO. However, I have no idea if she has some kind of 'Shanghai accent" or if she is speaking simply in some version of "non-regional Mandarin." As for Guangdong, I feel your pain, but consider that Guangdong is Cantonese... I mean... it's in the name! Cantonese is an amazing language and Guangzhou is center of Cantonese culture. Why should they be speaking Beijing language? So I think we are lucky if they accept Mandarin at all to communicate; compare to Hong Kong, where they don't feel pressure to accept Mandarin and they rather you speak English if not Guangdongwa. :)
I love your videos, Yi! They help me learn Chinese in an easy and practical way. Also, I find your videos peaceful to watch :D Please do more Shanghai life and 'Random Chinese words' videos. 加油!!

+tokomaru1000 I am from mainland China. In mainland China, people use simplified Chinese characters. Hongkong and Taiwan use traditional Chinese characters. I think you can start with the simplified Chinese characters because it is easier.
