Your servo testing is fantastic. To be able to know what the actual real world performance of a servo is probably the most helpful thing in You Tube RC video's ever! Thank you.
Really appreciate the tests on these servo's. finding the claims to be true and false really help us with making good choices for our money. Thanks again
These servo measuring videos are extremely informative. Whenever I am looking to buy one I try to find a video of someone measuring it. Thank you for making these!
Thank you for taking the time out and doing this. it is a great help! 👍👍
I really appreciate you doing these tests
409 at 6 volts is pretty good for a trx4 with stock esc. Great video and info ! Thanks👍👍
Thank you very much for doing this testing so that we can all benefit. Do you think you could do some 1/5 scale servos as well? There are some big claims out there of 900+ oz and 60+ kg servos. Would love to see the actual torque and speed numbers on these things.
Thanks for doing these tests for us! I really appreciate you… it’s so important to cut through the BS!! You are the man!! Thank you sir…
Thank you! Cutting through the BS... RC Review
Thanks Francis...excellent
Nice review. Best thumbnail :)
Thanks for your Work.
Nice work!! thanks for the servo review and providing us with the real numbers.
You bet
Not impressed my friend but I am loving the fact that you're cranking these videos out hasn't even been 24 hours and I get another one from you awesome so what is your go-to Servo now mine has been the Protek 370tbl
Awsome testing, thanks
another very informative video
All of my savox have been very reliable and strong. They’ve also all been insanely noisy! Ha. I have all mine now in my bashers etc and run quiet ones in my crawlers haha
I just purchased the Reef's RAW500 for the new Arrma Kraton EXB, would love to see you test that one.
What mount set up did you go with on that reefs??
Thanks for the test.
But remember, the claim (all servo factory) is at 1 cm from the center of the servo shaft.
Try the Shift Rcs servos next please.
Nice vid like always. Ive heard somewhere that AGF servos make reefs servos. Any chance you kno if this is tru and maybe a AGF servo test in the future😅
Savox is just went to 3bros never looked back
Joe from Exocage rc tested the Reefs 777. It's the only servo that I've seen that pulled way more than the 777 ounce rating it had. Way over like 300 over. Check it out
the G13 is true to spec as well. I think most direct battery servos do. No real variables then, just straight power.
great review bro, i've had two savox servo's and hated both of them!!!! imo they are absolute junk and will never buy another and wouldn't even use one if someone gave it to me for free. in fact, a year or so ago i bought a used slash with a 1230sg in it and the first thing i did was sell the damn thing.
Please show us some TRX-4 Servos (long cable).
All of the servos will fit in the trx4.
I use 1256 and 1270 savox servos in a 120cc IMAC plane and to be quite honest they throw it around like a rag doll and the centering is fast and accurate all on 6.6 volt but the false torque claims of some of their servos must be addressed.
Reefs triple 7... insane torque, underrated by Exocaged review... and dead silent. Love mine. Except that it broke so many front end parts on my trx6 including ripping the panhard axle mount off when it slid off a rock and snapping my metal chassis panhard mount when it rolled end over end. Lol. But I’ve tried strong servos, like the savox 2230 (6v to protect micro servos), and the heavy truck stalled them too much.
.
I use weak servos on my 7.25 pound 4ws Capra because even if they stall it’s so nimble it doesn’t really affect my climb. Lol.
andy R. If you say so lol, all I know is that it works amazingly well. Pretty much every servo available uses parts manufactured from another company...
.
Sorry I had to be the one to tell you this.
Thanks! I dont think I really need a bec for the difference between 7.4 and 6.0.
Can you please review the eco power 120wp
You should also be testing these servos from the inner hole also on the horn.
No, for oz/in ratings and testing, the hole has to be exactly 1 inch from center. Otherwise the results are pretty random. It'll measure stronger on inner holes and weaker on outer holes.
Consider testing at 8,4V ? The HV servoes are made to run off 2S lipo which is 4,2V Per cell at full charge. Might make a difference :) great test , keep up your good work. Thanks
I couldn't see in the documentation that 8.4 was approved. Even at 7.4 volts, it gets very hot. So I don't think that could take 8.4v repeatedly.
RC Review i run my 1210 on 8,4V but yea, might not be lister anywhere. They tend to only spec how the operation is at 6 and 7,4V so probably correct that you challenge those statements more than anything :) cheers
Bummer not to impressed myself just bought one couple months ago and a wire extension not knowing I didn't need one. Sounds like I should had just went with the bad boy Holmes Hobbies servo.
Wow that servo is loud. Id like to see Savox do better.
what servo would you recommend something with high torque for a HPI Savage X?
power hd b3 is claiming over 400 and its only 68 dollars on ebay
Well they don't all lie. . I know the Holmes you tested was pretty much dead on their claimed torque in your test. Thanks for all the great content.
Exactly. Holmes, Reefs 555, Tekin, all blew away their claims. There is honesty out there and that is cool.
Nice video like always!!!
What about an powerhobby 729MBL?
IP67, steel gear, brushles, 500oz-in @ 7,4V
Same price!
Savox SW-2290SG-BE is this one just as noisy? Are all Savox servo noisy?
Love your show. I have a Savox 2290sg and they claim 902 Oz. @8.4 v. It doesn't feel like that at all it seems a lot softer. Is there a chance you could reach you this Servo in your show or if not test it and let me know if it's an accurate statement of the servo. I used to like Sam off now I think they're loud and I'm not sure if they're accurate. Thank you for your time.
Derek Wardas
Damn....I just bought one of these a couple weeks ago! Still a solid Servo, but I honestly could tell it wasn’t making the claimed torque!
Why does it matter when you almost can't find better for the price, regardless of the false claims
7.4 volt servos are designed for 2s Lipo, get that bad boy on 8.4 volts! Just like 2s lipos are referred to as 7.4 volts, so are 2s servos..... am I wrong?
Will you please test the eco power wp120t?
but what about the speed for us track guys?
Rc review what is ur favorite servo
The reefs servos are great. I’ve had a few savox and had great luck with all of them.
I disagree with the reefs. I bought a 555 for my son's redcat, and it's slow as hell. They do good power, but just slow. My protek 370 btl is a beast, very strong, very fast, and seems consistent as hell.
Lee Reed I have a 444 for my trx4 and it’s fast and strong. Protec is over priced usually. They are nice but overpriced.
I think if I bought the 555 first it would've been one thing, but relative to the protek it's disappointing. At the end of the day, the 444 is working for you. I'm just more about spending the money once. I felt like a fool on the drive home after buying that reefs for 40 dollar less than the protek, but then more foolish after trying it, for not just buying the protek again.
hey question. I have an arrma notorious v5 with smart spektrum setup. recently, I installed a savox sw2210sg servo. I have a fan on my motor and also the esc stock fan with a smart G2 5000mah 100c spektrum battery. when I turn my savox left and right a few times. my esc restarts itself. is there a solution to this? do I need a capacitor?
Hi friend, can you help me with a question that experts can solve?
I have two identic servos buy them in the same time. (brushless)
One was working ay leadt about one year without problems.
Yesterday I put it un a servo torque tester bench like yours, and shows 170 oz-inch.
I remember ir was 220 oz-inch when was new.
To confirm that I open the new one and test it. I was correct, shows 220 oz-inch.
The question is?
Why torque changes?
The gears are good, not slip.
The cable and power supply good.
The current basic the same.
The motor loose power???

I'm sorry to doubt your exercise but there no explanation of the variables of servo arm ? The official performance must be relative using or not using a servo arm.
Maybe I'm wrong but it's worth checking out.?
For servo arm, the critical part is using an arem where the hole is exactly 1 inch from center for the oz/in measurement.
For the kg/cm, the hole needs to be 1cm from center.
RC Review further more, your servo arm is still not at the 1 inch mark either... 24mm is not quite an inch. Haven’t been impressed with savox in a while.
I will never buy a Savox after seeing your tests.
not impressed considering what they claim, but 400+ at 6v is still damn good imho. Now throw that claimed 800oz servo in there
It's coming tomorrow I believe.
400 oz/in is darned good because most RTR servos output 125-150 oz/in. It's just the false claims that are disappointing. Oh and that noise. :)
I agree but with 400+ at 6v is really good when you have alot of aux that cant go over 6v, like a normal TRX4 with diffs and 2gear.
I'm a fan of savox. Most of my on road cars have them. I buy them more for speed rather than torque. Maybe savox has a different way of testing it. Maybe pushing it to the limit.
What brand is best so far?
You should ask your viewers to send you their servo of choice that way you don’t need to purchase them all.
Ahhhhh, logistics/shipping nightmare. And I know how it is to take servos out of some vehicles, let it sit and reinstall. It's no joke.
Also, I get a hobby shop discount so not so bad as long as they carry it.
Very disappointing. I have been using thier servos and I am going to switch over another brand. What about Reef's or Homles Hobby?
Check our channel for past servo reviews.
Reefs 444 did not do well.
Reefs 555 blew away their claim.
Holmes V1.1 was incredible and higher than claimed.
Hobby shop near me said they have reefs come back all the time, I went with this savox
Would like to have seen 7.4 volts pull.
He did like 4 or 5 7.4v pulls....
@@rc-daily Oh,,, duh,, Thanks
😂😂 its ok bud i miss stupid crap all the time myself lol
Please test all the servos from everyone. I would bet most don't come within 90% of what is claimed.
3bros and traxxas does.
Please help me!!! Im looking for a direct battey wire servo or a bec that doesn't require PC or Castle Link programming. Something in the 6-8 amp neighborhood. I'd truly appreciate it.
nsdrcscaleparts.com/shop/ols/products/rs800
Can run on 2s to 4s. I ordered one a couple days ago.
@@leereed219 wow that's great. I really appreciate it. Cant wait to forget about the bec. Thanks again.
@@shaunsanford2253 I just installed mine 2 hours ago! Running on 4s, it's a absolute beast, and incredibly smooth. You won't believe how fast it is it makes you giggle haha.
@@leereed219 thats good news. Im excited to order one. I have a HH shv500v3 coming in this next week.
Rated about 40% higher than actual. Hmmmm.
Reefs 777?
Very disappointing considering the price they charge.
Savox going so bad!!!
that is one noisy servo.. wow lol
Savox is strong but centering and precision is lacking. Hitec makes better servos. They’ve been doing high quality servos since I started RC almost 20 years ago.
let's
sue Savox lol for false customer information
I contacted them about their claims and they said some bullshit about not doing stall torque but peak torque didn't make sense to me .
Wow thats not kool for them to say this andvits really not.bad company
Disappointing. 😒
Will I kill this servo if i fully submerge it in water??
