- Our planet is host to an immense variety of life, much of which is a large variety of plants that cover the globe. Considering how large the planet is and the multiple types of climate that exist, it wouldn’t be hard to imagine that there are a few bizarre and uncommon plants that many have never heard of.

“Rainbow Godzilla riding a strawberry” I died... laughed tea out my nose and full on snorting
For number one all I could think about was the line: "Feed Me Seymour!"
Alkurth Audrey from "Little Shop of Horrors"...
@@splenderella9 just downloaded it...nostalgia!
Hookers lips now that I think about it makes me think of that movie
I love feed me Seymour
Feed me all night long
This was actually a fun list.. and has quite an interesting plants in it :)
Completely
We call it a Touch me not
This list makes me want to spend so much money collecting each one.
Same!
I want number 10
@@rickyradioactivehorsehunte2247 it would cost $5000 at most to collect each specimen
11:20 SHADE THROOOWNN
#1 looks like a lagolier from one of Stephen Kings worst movies.
You should totally do a follow up on trees, because there are some f'd up trees, like the sandbox tree, that has caustic sap, is covered black spikes, and has seed pods that explode so violently, they have been known to injure people standing under them, or the manchineel tree, a tree with the benign sounding nickname "the beech apple tree" that is so toxic that even standing under one in a rain storm will give humans anaphylactic burns.
They sound pretty
I love this video, lots of interesting plants here. I am going to have to watch out a little better in hopes of finding any of these little wonderful plants!!!! Thank-you for posting.
Actually growing that 2. Plant, mimosa, at the moment. It actually goes asleep when it gets dark. Sorry for my english, I'm from Finland.
that's really true i had a mimosa pudica plant and its verry common in Philippines
Your English is better than most native 'English' speakers 😂 x
Parasitic is the wrong word for number 7, parasitic implies that it alone benefits from the relationship, if both the plant and fungus benefit, then it's symbiotic.
Apple Woods yes I also thought that was funny when Tuffnut and Ruffnut knew about that lol, but I knew that already my sister wanted me to watch that with her
I'm sorry, but you're wording is incorrect. All animal & animal/plant relationships are symbiotic, but there are 3 types of symbiosis: Mutualism, Commensalism, and Parasitism. Mutualism is when both organisms benefit, Commensalism is when 1 benefits and the other is unaffected, and Parasitism is, well, 1 benefits and the other is harmed.
Pinky the Pink Slime I was about to say it’s symbiotic either way
It's symbiotic with the fungus, but it's parasitic on the trees
It is parasitic on the tree though as the fungus allows it to parasitize off tree roots, so basically it is a plant and fungus that work together to feed off trees.
I love "pitcher" type plants they are so deliciously evil lol
5:56 my guy turned into a sim for a hot second there
I own a lithops, I absolutely adore it
They truly are interesting
rainbow godzilla riding a strawberry xD subbed just because of that
*the Dragonblood tree is the Afro* ✊🏿😆
Excellent video 👏🏽
Very beautiful and informative you should make part 2. How bout butterworts and the cattipillar cactus to name a few. 😊
The shy plants were everywhere when I lived in hawai'i
5:50 Carnivorous trees?.... You mean coniferous?
Not carnivorous tree, carnivorous tree not exist ;) Carnivorous plant yes, carnivorous tree no ;) and 5:50 it's not carnivorous plant either ;)
6:00 , the Roridula reducta it's a carnivorous plant ^^ ;)
The 1st plant ( 0:04 ) it's a carnivorous plant ;) It's a Nepenthes lowii =D ^^ I love carnivorous plant =) ^^
3:31 it's carnivorous plant, it's a Darlingtonia californica ;)
7:52 it's carnivorous plant, it's Utricularia ;)
9:19 Carnivorous plant ^^ it's Drosera capensis ;)
10:00 it's carnivorous, it's Aldrovanda vesiculosa ;)
That's all there is for carnivorous plants, and Roridula reducta is not really a REAL carnivorous plant ;)
I think he does.... other wise scary! 😂😂
Confucius said that
Diablotin 08 Your English is pretty good. I’m sure you get a lot of hate, but keep it up!
You can only become bilingual from practicing! ^_^
The channel name reveals their IQ ;)
Darlingtonia. I think that is the official name for the cobra lilies you were talking about. I remember going up north into Oregon to go and see them with my dad and grandfather.
Great vid! :)
#14, I'd love to see with my own eyes one day! That's beautiful ❤️
Why is the baobab tree not included on the list? Or the pitcher plant? Or the dancing plant? 😔
Beautiful video, thanks for sharing!
Excellent list!😄
the 2nd flower is called 'putri malu' or 'shy princess' in Indonesia.i love playing with it when i was a kid
Glad to see that you're back! Can't wait to see what else you have in store.
Awesome video! Thank you!🙂
Bittercress is also a fun one because if you touch the seed pods, they launch off of the plant (and also spread weeds all over your garden and lawn. Fun times...)
great video
Growing up, we had a "Mimosa" (sp?) tree in our yard (in Texas). Such beautiful flowers, and so delicate.
Some really bizarre plants here. Cape sundew looks stunning!
Rainbow Godzilla ? Ha Ha !! Good Video, Thanks.........................
I’m in New Orleans, LA & we had touch me not plants & some bushes w/dark super shiny leaves with a pointy - & ridiculously stabby! - tip on them (can’t remember off hand what they were) in the garden along the front of our house growing up. I remember touching the leaves to see them close up all the time over the decade+ living there, especially whilst waiting for the school bus. They were cool little plants.
I love this channel
Very educational, thank for the video
I love the sarcasm...just subbed! super interesting
The last one looks like those eggs from Alien.
Maybe this is where movie got its inspiration from.
Number 7 the snow plant also grows in the San Bernardino mountains in Southern California not just Northern California. We had it grow twice in 15 years in our yard and 3 times in a friends yard down the street.
#2 is my favorite. It's a plant that shares my feelings
I'd love that snow flower
I am surprised that Giant Hogweed wasn't on this list. That is one bizarre looking plant. Sort of like a triffid.
Genesis would concur.
The last one (number 1) kind of looks like the piranha flowers from Mario.
Oh look a channel that doesn't use clickbaits....
3:08 oh yes the beautiful images that no one would ever come up with a rainbow Godzilla riding a strawberry I literally died of laughter for a solid 20 minutes
the last flower looked just like Langoliers eater of time
Yes it did!😂🤣 LOL the graphics are definitely better in this video than the movie tho lol.... Man thinkin about it again those CGI langoliers really looked terrible, even by 1995 standards.
i would love to have all of them in my garden
U can actually purchase a jabotica Tree, on eBay and on top tropical s
11:35 That looks like something out of a Mario game.
yeah a piranha plant
TheChosenOne
Exactly
@Whatever, Fuck Usernames smartass!! I'd like to meet you in person
I thought that about the first plant and the cobra plant as well. Although they are not in the game, they look like they would exist in that world. 😁
@Whatever, Fuck Usernames ur a jerk i gonna tell my dad
this video is so interesting
I LOVE YOUR VIDEO .
I love plants. For so many reasons but my favourite thing about them is they don't talk
I think the oddest normal tree is the coconut, which probably kills more men than any other tree, because ripe fruit can drop on your head without warning, and crack your head. The coolest carnivorous plant is Cobra Lilly, but nepenthes is a close second, since it is a pitcher plant with pitchers at the end of its leaves that hang out in the air with a rope like stem from the leaf tip turning up and forming the small pitcher.
+Jonathan Brooks sudden death awaits us. It's a nice way to go.lol
and it's carried by the Swallow tho experts are not in agreement whether that's the larger African or English swallow.😂
awesome video; thank you!
For #2 I've seen those things before when I was little. My sister and I were playing with them for an hour
very hilarious and educational I loved it thank you
Probably thought the video would be too long if they include everyone there is so many different types of plants. There are pink woolie banana and blue bananas.,and pink lemon and pink blueberries, sum types of fruit can Nat be shipped it would Nat make last through transporting.
Psychotria is the MAO Inhibitor, not the dmt containing counterpart. The counterpart is a closely related relative to #2 and #2 itself probably contains it too
Ought to breed/mutate "Hooker Lips" into a small, handy flower fit for a bouquet and rename the variety "Valentines Kiss".
Then florist and botanists would have a nice little cash cow for February, anniversaries, etc.
Well now I know what kind of flowers my mother-in-law is getting 1👈🏼 😂
I only knew of the Cape Sundew and Cobra Lily
Cri
Nah, that last one is a Graboid. :P
OMG I nearly died from cringing how you pronounced the word Afrikaans but kudos to you for attempting to pronounce the name of the flower
The lip plant loves people!
Romanesco is amazing.
The sensitive plants i remember seeing in Vietnam wow so long ago...thx
I grew Romanesco Broccoli, it's not bad. It tastes a bit like broccoli with a slight spinach flavour. There is also Broccoflower which is also green. I'm a horticulturalist and like to try a lot of things but Romanesco Broccoli is quite common here in NZ.
Getting #1 as a joke present for someone is a great idea. I wonder if I can buy one of those?
0:20 I found this vegetable in the market near where I live!
I felt like I was watching a race. I wish the speaker spoke more clearly and slowly. Thus, I could enjoyed watching it and learned in a leisurely fashion,
.75 speed
That jabuticaba pronunciation hurt my soul
Makahiya!
I haft about 4 different types of palm tree's in our front yard. They are all supposed to be glacier cold tolerante coming from different places in the world all of which gits cold in the winter
where is the one from the thumbnail?
+Joseph Holliday It's Hydnora Africana, which is #1.
+Duo Fish Kinda looks like the Langoliers, would you think?
number 1
+Arctie Mathe The thumbnail made it look like one of those plants from mario.. but langoliers is a good one too
+Joseph Holliday It's number 1
I had a plant book when I was little that mentioned the pebble plant and the lip plant, the sundew and waterwheel, too.
And now it's going to bug the crap out of me because I can't remember the name of it.
I wonder if No1 was partial inspiration for the graboids in tremors 🤔
Should i be worried that i have nearly half the plants on the list? 😂
yeah split cantaloupe, that's exactly what I think it looks like too!
QUACK
On the thumbnail is a vampire chomper PLANTS VS ZOMBIES JUST GOT REAL
More like Crash Bandicoot
#13, Lithops, are often called "living stones" by people who cultivate succulent plants.
#14 Dragon Blood and Copaiba Resin saved my mother from a bleeding stomach due to aspirin intake for HBP, we put the natural stuff in a capsule gave it to her for the last 3 days of her 17th days hospital ordeal, Dragon Blood was brought from Peru and Copaiba from Young Living Co.
3,000th subscriber!
Can the "touch me nots" grow into a huge tree? My mom, here in Ohio, has what is now a huge tree in her back yard that has the same leaves and flowers on it.
That's would be a mimosa., mimosa pudica are smaller plants mabie to 3-4 ft tall Tha one u have growes to 30-50 ft tall
They would be in the pea Family that's why they close there leaves at night evena black locus Tree close it's leaves at night
That's a mimosa *TREE*
I have a mimosa pudica
But I never heard of a mimosa tree
Awesome your back
andrew rodriguez Yes we are! Be on the lookout for the next video which will be arriving very soon.
Thanks for commenting and watching!
Awesome
The Cobra Lily also uses symbiotic mites and bugs which live in it's liquid to digest it's insect prey while it absorbs their excretions.
I found a water wheel plant in northern Minnesota!!!
Thank you I love plants caves too.
I have enjoyed this video. But I can't comment since it is absolutely about batony.
Omg, that danger Dolan countdown ;-;
Produce cones like "carnivorous trees"?? You mean Cruciferous trees??? @5:51
Cruciferous means "related or similar to cabbage".
I think he means coniferous trees. Coniferous means cone-producing.
Dude. No rafflesia arnoldi? how is that possible?
you just couldnt leave us anime lovers alone could you?
YES! a list tat does not include fungi.
+Bryan Lariviere FINALYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
its been good working with you Zendra, now self destruct.
+Zandra Hammond ... THE ROCK HAS COME BACK... (WWE reference)
That dragon's blood tree is absolutely beautiful..I hope it can be saved.
Oh did not know there were plants in Oregon that look so tropical.
And I live here. xD
Now I want to go and check out were these plants are in my home state. :)
i have a dragon tree it's about 3"5" since i had it for 3 years and a half
have you tried fertilizing it every few weeks, and watering it 2 times a day.?
i water it twice a day and every once in while i fertilize it.
+silverskyslayer or diglettplayer/alphadiglett what kind of climate is youre country, area, or wherever you live, since that tree is supposed to grow in hot sunny areas, that or you just gotta wait, forests dont grow in a day
it is hot most of the time but during the winter it gets like 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
The 2nd one are common in my country. They grow everywhere. My front yard has lots of it. I used to play it when I was a kid but I get phobia after that. In my country it's called "pokok semalu".
Number 5 gotta represent Portugal
since i live in Indonesia, the shy plant is called Putri Malu which means shy princess
The snow plant provides fixed carbon to the fungus. That's for those like me that couldn't understand what he said there.
Perhaps the big lips plant should've been referred to the Mick Jagger plant!
Thank you.
Jabuticabas are the fruit, the tree itself is called Jabuticabeira.
This is a delicious fruit, by the way.
9:06 That bonsai is a dawn redwood. Not a Brazilian grape tree.
