I got a chrome thermostat housing on my burb - leaks at the hose barb. Never thought about chrome housing specifically leaking before but you got me thinking about changing it now.
I really dislike them. I order the factory style through summit.
helpful video, bro - though TStat change usually is a less complex job - I also prefer a gasket with a thin layer of rtv. Waiting for the big block upgrade !
We are just ending several record breaking cold few days in the PNW so I feel your pain.
What Transmission in Cream Puff? I need to search through and learn more about Cream Puff it's setup is kinda what I want to do to my 305.

I still get your notifications. But I’m not getting quite a few notifications. A bunch of the guys from the NNN. I’ve been subscribed and have the notifications on. Duddie, & Travis and more. So I’ve been just checking their channels to see if they have any new videos. 👍
Great video,
Can you do a Video of how you installed the electric fans.
I don't think I have a video of just that. I'll have to look back and see if it might be a part of a different video.
I like using a 185 with a 1.5 mm hole
I usually do a bypass hole or two, but I wanted this to warm up quicker.
Probably a dumb question, but why drain the radiator when changing the thermostat? I'm still learning to work on my 87 R10 so these vids are very helpful.
The coolant runs through the thermostat and will make a big mess if you don't drain it. It's all one system
But you can also partially drain it till it's below the level of the thermostat. Say maybe drain 1/3 of the system and you can pull the thermostat. The coolant level will be below the thermostat on the intake. I'm talking about a small block Chevy and Ford's are the same way. Some later model stuff with wacky t stat placement this advice may not hold true.
Why would you want/need to switch it back come Spring?
I don't like it running that warn through the spring and summer. And I won't need the heat.
