I was already complaining of priceflation when they surpassed the 55000 mark! At this pace a plain WT with 4x4 crew cab is the only thing I can afford nowadays!
After driving both f150 and RAM 1500 the one thing that stands out is that the f150 just has everything you need to make things useful and fun while driving and great for camping and long trips. But the feel of the actual ride feels different in the ram, less like a truck. In the end i think it comes down to what you get for the money and which truck is more reliable.
I worked for a Ford Dealer sweeping floors and emptying garbage. Learned how to Prep & Paint. Ended up after 22 years at that Dealer in Burlington Ontario, then took a job as a Paint Rep for DuPont Performance Coatings, then when DuPont sold there Refinish side of things Axalta, bought the refinish side of DuPonts business. I worked for Axalta as a Paint Rep for 21 years. Just retired and ordered a brand new 2024 Platinum 3.5 Have a 2021 Lariat at the moment. I’ve had good luck with Ford over 44 years in the related business.
I do like the updates to the F150 over the 21-23 models, for the most part.(the wheels are a blatant rip off of the Chevy Silverado High Country). Ford was smart to not stray too far from success, but I'm curious on the price increase over a 23 Limited. $90K for a few updates doesn't seem worth it. I highly anticipate the obvious comparison to the Ram 1500 Tungsten!
I love the interior of this Platinum Plus. I just don't like all the chrome on the exterior. Some do, just not me. I wonder roughly what it would cost to have a chrome delete or blackout job done to all the chrome after market, any idea? I'm thinking about getting this PP in 2025, with the FX4 package, and after market doing maybe a 2.5-3.5" level/lift, 35 tires, a bit of poke, and maybe upgrading parts of the suspension in part b/c of the angles of the level/lift, but also to make up for the loss of the dampeners that happens when you get the FX4 package. Beautiful as is, but I may personalize it some. Thoughts about any of this?
Wow is that a beaut! I have a 21' Powerboost Lariat 502A High, but this baby is wonderful. Correction- The Platinum + has the brushed satin finished and not chrome. The Lariats and below have the chrome package, but not these.
I'm happy someone finally did the platinum plus trim. However, filming with the sunlight directly on the car like that virtually washed it out. Didn't get a good sense of interior colors. It's not too different from my 21 platinum (loaded like limited), so thinking tungsten - but not a fan of the exterior of ram
Rams new Hurricane Engine needs a year or two in order to see what’s it’s made of. My brother and his son drive Rams, claim they can’t justify the F150 price.
Ok so i cant argue that these pickups are expensive, and i understand there alot of people that dont have the money to afford them, i get it. The europeans and japanese dont build luxurious pickups like the the USA, well maybe a few from japan But it appears to me, i might be wrong, forgive me, if it were mercedes , BMW or Wolks Wagen causing over 100 .000 or more, we'd jump for them. Just saying, and im not telling anyone how to spend their monies. Jusy saying.
I agree- look at a base BMW X5. It’s $90k. If I can get a crew cab hybrid, loaded F-150 for $85? Why not? Quit screaming about the price, vote in DJT ffs…
I ordered the Platinum Black on Black. 702B version. 3.5 For the cost of the Powerboost I’ll never pay off the difference in price. Plus they say for resales no Power Boost is better. Who knows, I’ll I know I’ll , I treat it very well and hopefully it will treat me the same.
So you say this is the " top level" truck for 2025 but it has a work truck looking tailgate??!! WTF is Ford thinking, if customers are paying premium dollars then every inch of the truck better be premium too. Including the tailgate!! Let me guess...Ford will figure out that a tailgate that this trim level once had will become an option then charge the customer even more. They need to bring it back to what it was and leave shit alone. Like the old saying goes " If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Sorry but they just should have left the previous Ford F-150 LIMITED alone and kept it the way it was- the Pro-Access Tailgate Bed Door is a little too much as well on the Platinum-I would purchase a "Loaded" Ford F-150 Lariat with everything on it OR considering for the first time, the RAM (Dodge) Tungsten edition.
Ram fans are the loudest talkers around and yet that brand loses market share year after year. This isn't a Ram video save your unsolicited off topic opinions for the proper form.
I’ll say it again GMC has set the tone in styling. Everyone is cleaning up their looks and going for more sophisticated designs but none of them quite out class the D. Ultimate in my opinion. None of them have a bed as useful as the Multi-Pro tailgate or a semi autonomous driving system that will tow your trailer for you yet they are the newer offerings that costs more than the Sierra. I’m excited for what the all new redesigned GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado are going to bring end of next year. It’s not looking too good for RAM, Ford, nor Toyota!
I didn't even consider GM on a recent truck purchase, GmC and Toyota are overkill on grill, and the Chev has a face only a mother could love: to each their own.

B&0 radios are garbage, I have a 2022 Maverick First Edition with B&O sound system and the speed compensation volume does not do what it’s supposed to do. Dealer says they cannot fix, I called B&O and I was told they do not work on them as it’s now Harmon International. I could not get a hold of them. I also purchased a 2021 Lincoln Navigator a month ago with the Revel Ultimate 20 speaker system and guess what it has the same garbage radio system, the SCV doesn’t work dealer can’t find the problem. Sound is so poor I may as well be driving my 70 Roadrunner with one front speaker. Once upon a time I had a 1997 ford f-150 it had a Harmon Kardon system and it was the best stereo ever. Ford/Lincoln better get there shit together on this garbage B&O radio
I had the 8 speaker B&O in my 21 f150 and was fairly happy with quality. However longevity issues, this past week when I traded it in the back speaker started crackling. I got a 24 f150 with the 14 speaker B&O and sounds amazing. Better than a friends 21 limited with the 16 speaker B&O. Im sure in the next 3 years Ill be running into same issues.

Uhhh tbat is ford software.
They just licensed the B&O badge for marketing. B&O make really high end speakers, not truck software.
Lose the scv, make sure your in sounds around and you will find a much more enjoyable experience
