I think it’s a song about disillusion, self awareness and discovery…the way he’s been presenting himself to the world and not being true to his self and who he really wants to be. He looks “pretty pimpin” in the mirror but he feels like it’s a false image and just wants to be himself, free of ego etc. He doesn’t recognize the guy in the mirror because the way he looks isn’t the way he feels, but he’s now aware of that and becoming more aware of his actual true self/identity. Great song.

Awesome video, you're rad man. This song sounds easy but it's crazy hard to play and sing at the same time. Have tried and failed on plenty of occasions lol. Even the man himself struggles with it. The guitar melody is offset from the vocal melody a tad and that is so weird. Such a cool and unique song though.
