Thanks for fhese suggestions. My Woo Commerce store is built with Divi and i just find it some difficilt to use. These look mich more intuitive to use.
@@bjoernzosel actually I checked out now Merchant and it's a great tool that I never heard of, saving so much money. Thanks for mentioning it, Paul! I think Botiga and Merchant are really great!
Certainly! Here's the corrected version of your text: "Hello! Is it possible to build an ecommerce store with a block theme like Ollie? Do we need, or is it even possible (and a good idea) to use some tools like ACF Pro or a block builder like Spectra Pro, Stackable, etc.? Thank you very much for your great work."
It all depends if you want to go Full Site Editing (FSE) or use tools like GenerateBlocks or Stackable. I really think FSE is a complete mess at this point in time.
Depends if you're going Elementor Pro or free. If you're going Pro, I'd probably go with their Hello theme and build the WooCommerce design myself with the E Pro tools.
@@WPTuts hi :) what about the free version of elementor ? or would you just recommend to go straight gutenberg ? I've got a website refresh coming up soon for a friend trying to figure out the best option for him to manage it later :) Thanks for the great content
@@jeandoe2480 I'd personally go with Gutenberg and let WooCommerce handle the shop side. Woo can be a bit of a resource hog and stripping things back to lighter tools would certainly help.
HTML5 Blank, Underscores, pagebuilders do too much these days, having themes overwriting styling or having to overwrite the default theme styling is just a pain you don't really want to deal with any more.
Why only suggest themes for woo? Why not also suggest pagebuilders? If one is spending money, pagebuilders are a better route, ain’t it? I get it that the title says (free) (themes) but if one is doing a project of any kind, why would one not want to shell out 50-100$ for a theme/pagebuilder! So many questions haha, but they just popped in my head, cheers.
I can't see the benefit of going down that route unless there was a need for complete customisation (or as much as a page builder provides for WooCommerce). Besides, this video is in answer to the comments asking me to cover the themes I recommend for WooCommerce; in that regard, it doesn't really include any page builders! ;)
I love GeneratePress & GenerateBlocks, but it wouldn't be my choice for a WooCommerce store. WHile it works, there's not really any great level of customisation available.
@@WPTuts I've never heard of Bricks, tried the main ones Divi I hate, elementor constanting breaks something Astra is stable but not so flexible..Bricks ?
One of the many reasons I like your video is cause of the way you explain, like you give in every detail and smoothly. 🙂
Thanks for video 👌🏽
I just switch botiga. Definitely love the theme

Great overview, thanks! Random question, but what do you use to create your glidey-swoopy motion effects on your screen recordings?
Another Great Video. Cheers Paul.
Very good work on this video :)
Great Video. Thank you!
Happy to support the channel! Nice work!
Happy to have you all on board. :)
Are the themes that you recommended very heavy to be loaded? As the loading speed is mattered most here.
No, they are all well optimised and should perform very well on a good quality server and following best practices for image and page optimisation.
Kadence is great. Intuitive and great templates
And the performance is awesome

Sorry, but what does that have to do with this list of themes?
Where does it suggest using a pagebuilder in the video?

If you had to chose, gun to the head... Astra or Elementor ?
@@MaKerShaperUK Bricks! 😉
Elementor Pro for flexibility of customisation and Astra for speed (but with more limited design options).
