As ever Paul, an excellent video providing more food for thought and assisting us through the maze of Wordpress and plugins. Thank you.
It's great to see Merchant in action! Thanks Paul.
My pleasure!
Exciting to see this! We hope Merchant helps WooCommerce store owners unlock the potential of their stores, while simplifying plugin management.
A nice way to rapidly and sustainably solve lots of WooCommerce plugins problem.
Anyone could go pull one off the shelf and get it running.
Thanks for sharing this gem Paul!
My pleasure!
This plugin is so good. Thanks for sharing this plugin.
You're welcome!
Amazing plugin! Would be nice to get more video like this for woocommerce. I mean sugestions or comparasion for plugins like merchant and booster for woocommerce. What you say Paul? Keep the good work!
This is wondeful. Wow!
What is the alternative like this plugin? for Woocommerce?
That's a great find
Very nice one. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
This looks really helpful. Has code snippets, quick product view, product swatches, checkout which currently I use different plugins. The only thing I am not sure is how much it will affect page speed.
Everything is modular, so you only need to enable what you need. On top of that, we are doing everything we can to minimize the impact on loading times. You can check our demo if you want to run tests yourself.
probably worth it for the buy now button alone ... cheers Paul
My pleasure. :)
nice ty paul
Thanks from Poland :)
Welcome!
Do we have to use jet pack for certain features on woocommerce?
I got the Pro version of this plugin after watching this review. It's amazing. I wish they had tutorials on some of the features though. I'm trying to use it to create bundles but I'm not sure how to :'(
Looks great and very useful! Thanks for the video
Glad it was helpful!
Hi, Paul what do you think about North Commerce? i just saw this on youtube and it's looks nice.
Nice one!! I am definitely usiing this plugin with my next build
Well this is very exiting! Is this compatible with wooCommerce High Performance Storage? Also, how about Divi theme with this plugin? Thanks!
Yes, it's compatible with HPOS. And we made it to work with any theme, including Divi.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Super informative 😊
Glad you liked it
No lifetime deal = not worth it. Especially when we already pay hundreds of dollars yearly for the other 10+ essential plugins or SaaS that only have subscriptions, we’re not adding even more to that cost.
Appreciate your opinion, but one of the main purposes of Merchant is to reduce costs for store owners by removing the need for so many different subscriptions. Also, this is just an early version of Merchant. We will continue to add more modules which will add even more value.
What they do have is unlimited licenses. Which is cool. If all the dozen plugins by different developers and code snippets for important features in 2023 like swatches, default variation settings, settings for price range display and more can be managed by one plugin… that would be awesome.
Woocommerce is free, but you can reach its free limit quickly and then Woo Plugins for tiny features cost like 5 bucks a month. If Athemes actually does it right it could be the one companion plugin for Woocommerce that everyone installs and can then compete with features of Surecart, Shopify and others.
They have a Lifetime deal now.
Looks really nice and useful for ditching multiple plugins
It really is!
Can this work with bricks builder please?
It works with Bricks with the modules we've tested so far.
83% changes possible without using this plugin via PHP snippets.
.
Stay blessed
Except that 83% of WordPress users don't know how to use PHP snippets.
Can you post those snippets please?
Is this new? It's only got 4 reviews on the WordPress download store. I'm a bit concerned when I see such little feedback. Is the coding bloated?
Looks great.
What would really make this worth the cost would be sections to enhance the tax and shipping options
Great point!
Having the ability to tweak the checkout layout or available fields would certainly add some useful functionality to the plugin.
Would jump on it if the 40% discount was recurring. Otherwise I got too many subs to worry about as it is. Best of luck!
I can't make any promises but we are thinking about making some changes to our current pricing. These would go live in January 2024. So maybe check back then.
why have they not submitted their free version in the Wordpress plugin repository?
We have, we submitted it back in July but unfortunately there was (and still is) a massive backlog of plugins in the review queue (there are over 1,000 at the time I write this). We are however expecting it to be approved any day now.
@@Athemes Great job Athemes, your plugin is a must have, we will buy the pro version, and replace XX plugins by yours, if you could add the notificationX feature that would be great too (very powerful feature) thanks !
Thanks@@durango5813! You'll be happy to hear that's on the roadmap. :)
Great video, but you Didn't show how to customize any of the options on frontend.
To be honest, it's all so self contained per 'feature' that demoing each one would have just made the video twice as long. ;)
where is the download link for the free version
Foolow the link in the description and click on Pricing. The free version is linked there. Alternatively, you can just search from the plugins section on your website and install directly from there.
Not really worth using it unless you get the paid version, the free options are included in almost every premium theme
We're going to expand the Product Labels module in the free version soon. We also have plans to add a new module for clearing the cart.
No lifetime pricing? hate subscriptions
And in a years time the company is gone as they have no recurring revenue streams.
Nope! Not a good idea.
Hmm. The Pre-order feature looked interesting - but it seems purely cosmetic. It’s just a way of tagging orders as pre-orders. In other words, pay now - get later. Not sure this would be allowed in the UK.
Why wouldn't it be allowed?
@@rbolwell because you'd be taking an order/money for something you cannot supply.
@@Perchpole mmm... I'm not sure I following your logic there.
A pre-order is an order placed for an item that has not yet been released. The idea for pre-orders came because people found it hard to get popular items in stores because of their popularity. Companies then had the idea to allow customers to reserve their own personal copy before its release, which has been a huge success.
Pre-orders allow consumers to guarantee immediate shipment on release, manufacturers can gauge how much demand there will be and thus the size of initial production runs, and sellers can be assured of minimum sales. Additionally, high pre-order rates can be used to increase sales further.
Pre-orders are big business. Take musicians for example. They often run pre-orders for an album so they have the funds available to actually record and release the thing.
Think of pre-orders as another type of crowdfunding. Nothing wrong with that, and it's a completely legitimate business practice.
Should Do New LoginPress 3.0 Update as it is a huge update
