“The LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul” (Deuteronomy 13:3).
“The righteous God tests the hearts and minds” (Psalm 7:9). “The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but the LORD tests the hearts” (Proverbs 17:3).5
God explains: “I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:10).

[9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
I remember an article about how someone refines silver, my favourite part was when the refiner told how he could tell the silver was refined; “when I see my reflection” and somewhere in the New Testament, it says to be imitators of Yeshua, we must be pure silver, the reflection of the refiner.
For in fire, gold is tested, and the chosen in the crucible of humiliation

Came across this vid after studying Psalm 12. Although the vid did not mention it, it’s interesting to note that it is virtually impossible to obtain 100% purity of metals. Very High purity is typically seen at what’s called 5 nines purity (99.999%).
I like how Psalm 12:6 says God’s words are pure, and silver purified 7 time is _like_ Gods’s word.
Even our most stringent refinement/purification processes can ultimately only amount to a reflection or shadow of the true glory, purity, and holiness of the Lord.
Will truly be a sight to behold when we see the streets of pure gold mentioned in Revelation 21:21
But we may be too overcome by the presence of the LORD to even notice lol
Also another angle to this is for spiritual purification.
Human wisdom and works can never fully justify us, no law is sufficient to cleanse us from our sins and to purify us. Even the most stringent religious practices, if absent of the power of Jesus, will not be able to purify us 100%. Why? Because death consumes us all.
The wages of sin is death.
Only Jesus offers the gift of eternal life through the forgiveness of sins. We no longer have to die because of our sins.
He desires to purify us and cleanse us of our sins and impurities so that we may inherit eternal life and have fellowship with Him, so that we may sit on His throne in Heaven with Him.

1 Peter 1:6-7
In this you rejoice though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials- so that the tested genuineness of your faith- more precious than gold that perishes though tested by fire- may be found to result in praise and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
We should rejoice knowing what our trials will produce. genuine sincere faith in the Lord and not in this world or the things of this world.
It’s all for our good, he has a divine use and testimony for us so he what’s us to be more precious and the closer we will come closers to him.

Hey there Gen U Videos, I don’t know if you’re still active on here or not, but I just wanted to say (as a minister myself) - that this lil video was great. I was actually studying this from Scripture this week (Proverbs 25:1-7) and wanted to go a little bit deeper, and boop, you’re video popped up. I appreciate the work that you put into this.
You are only partly right. He DOES test you to see if you will persevere to the end. Jesus says in Matthew 24At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, These are people who did not pass the testing process, The very thing the narrator claims God is NOT doing! Hebrews 12 says treat hardship as discipline from God. It further says No discipline seems pleasant at the time but painful. Later on however it produces a harvest of righteousness for those who have been trained by it, Well notice it says 'for those who have been trained by it.'. Those not trained by it will likewise fall away especially those who say suffering doesn't come from God, Jesus spoke about the seed sown along the path and those with SHALLOW ROOTS quickly fall away when trouble or persecution comes, There are a LOT of shallow churches out there folks especially ones that only want you to hear pleasant reassuring things. "What you itching ears want to hear"

Wish I had known about this before my baptism by fire. I thought it meant I was going to hell. So I wen all to hell. Found myself literally on the dragon in the great smokey mountains and figuratively in the bible. Feel so dumb.
