Aerosmith's best song for AOR. Well done.
If you like Steven Tyler's voice, you HAVE to get "The Voice of Rock," Glenn Hughes, on here.
Yep, I hope 1970 Trapeze "Medusa" is all set for Drunk Reactions of the month. Heck, if it isn't good, you can drunkenly curse me! I don't care - it is a mortal lock you and viewers/listeners love it!

I saw Aerosmith live in 2004 and it was a bucket list moment for me. My parents, especially my father, were Aerosmith fans and I grew up on their music. Steven Tyler was still rocking those high notes in 2004 (and beyond). A true talent, and Joe Perry is a guitar god. The whole band is incredible.

This song was actually written by Steven Tyler (lead singer) when he was 17 years old; he wrote it on piano. Joe Perry (lead guitarist) had to "translate" the piano to guitar and did a superb job of it. Their next album...."Toys In the Attic".....is FULL of fantastic songs. "Walk This Way".....is a MUST do for y'all. I can provide further Aerosmith recommendations to you later. Great choice; great video as always, guys. :)

I was so happy to see you guys listening to Aerosmith, they're in my top 5!! The first 3 albums are killer! The first song Steven Tyler wrote with Joe Perry is "Movin' Out" from the band's 1973 debut album, so good. Okay now check out "Toys in the Attic" both the song and the album from 1975. "Back in the Saddle" from the 1976 Rocks album, this album kicks ass. The 2004 Honkin' On Bobo album is blues and covers, "You Gotta Move" is a Mississippi Fred McDowell cover, the band nailed it. There are so many beauties from this band, thank you for including them and enjoy guys!!

He's not really exaggerating. I wouldn't put it up with Stairway, but it's close, and in rareified air. Pretty much every Classic Rock station will play this song at least once per day. It's also possible that you heard the re-recorded version that Aerosmith did for the Last Action Hero Soundtrack almost 20 years after the initial release. Stephen's voice sounds a bit different, and the instruments are a little faster and more prominent.

This is from their very first album and I used to Loop that one and Toys in the Attic on continuous repeat on an 8-track cassette cartridge. I love every single song on this first album, every single song. It's all just fire to me. I love the quality of the mix, it's just that early 70s stripped-down rock and roll but there's still a lot of thought put into the texture of it. Mama Kin, you got to check it out. And their interpretation of the Rufus Thomas song walking the dog is just incredible. Some of the other songs incorporate flute in the perfect way for rock and roll. It's all just so fun and so atmospheric.

This whole first album is raw and bluesey, then on Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic and Rocks they really started going hard. All are classic albums beginning to end. You should play Nobody’s Fault, it’s a deep cut but most Aerosmith fans will tell you it’s one of their best rockers!!

Great reaction, really enjoyed seeing this through younger eyes. I also had not listened to this in a long time, Tyler's voice is just magical sometimes. He's so versatile too- for some different tones maybe try Mama Kin, and Last Child- this one first. It's all over the map and a lot of fun.

I saw Aerosmith at Madison Square Garden on their Dream On tour when I was 18. Rick Derringer was the opening act. Some cute guy on the train to NYC offered his lap to me when there were no seats left on the train packed with concert goers & I got separated from my friends. Some poor older commuter guy was stuck in the window seat surrounded by a cloud of smoke from all the passing joints. I was totally wasted by time I found my friends when we got off the train. They were so jealous! Great concert!

The 70s era Aerosmith were raw and edgy was my favorite period, but they self destructed. They resurrected their career in the MTV era when they joined Run-D.M.C. for a remake of their song Walk This Way.

Pretty good debut album song!! Released in 1973, "Dream On" has remained a staple of Aerosmith concerts since. I was fortunate enough to see them perform in 2013 at the Harley Davidson 110th Anniversary in Milwaukee.
Yes, "Dream On" is definitely a classic rock tune worthy of being regarded as timeless!! Steven Tyler's screaming near the end puts it over the top for me!! 💜💜

Steven Tyler gave it all to Rock in every live performance for 40 years. As you get older, the songs become more powerful, should do a full-run of Aerosmith from 70’s to Current. Steven is literally crippled now from all the dancing on stage, his feet and knees are destroyed.

  • @judasgoatbarbecue4336

As you guys said this is just iconic. Also I'm now 54 and still loving this music, but the lyrics really hit home the older you get - just like Pink Floyd's "Time". There's nothing you can do to slow down getting older but songs like this remind us to really LIVE life and not get caught up in the crap. Others here may disagree with me but one of Aerosmith's songs you might like is "Lightning Strikes." Great job as always guys!

1st time my family saw them was at "Fiddlers Green" in Denver less than a week after, Columbine.
It was in May & they came out & felt us hurting bad.
Thank you guys. I was working in Boulder then & It mattered to us. Even in Pathology.
They put a bandaid on many hearts that night & of course it snowed !
Stephen came out & said "If Van Halen can play in the rain, Aerosmith can play in
the snow". I am glad my children were there as they were in high school to.
Got home past midnight & had to go back to all the press, vehicles & shit.
I was so grateful for what they did for us hours ago. Great channel guys !

    • @SonicProfessor_a.k.a._T._Andra
      @SonicProfessor_a.k.a._T._Andra 5 років тому

      "Combination" is, just, SUPERB!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
...the chord choices, the rhythms, the melody (which doesn't, actually, "move" much!!! -but the REST of the song does!), ...just everything!
...but, then, ROCKS is, essentially, "perfect." 💜💜🧡💜🧡🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡
..."Nobody's Fault" is legendary and well-deserving of the praise it receives ...and of multiple listens. 😋👍
...I always felt that "Seasons Of Wither" was an under-recognized gem from that album, too. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🔥
(but, then, as I said: There's, really, nothing to fault on: ROCKS, as a whole! 😁😁🤘)

You knew Andy would react to the "scream" & was just waiting to see it. Awesome. Thanks for doing this one. There is someone I would love to watch you two react to, for his vocals, I think he will surprise you. Chris Stapleton "Sometimes I Cry" [Bing Lounge] or "Barely Alive" [Atlanta, Eddies Attic]
