My grandpa had a 91 jag almost identical to that, lots of good memories at his place with my dad. both working on it and riding since it is an arctic cat 😉 I ride polaris now but sleds are sleds have fun man 👍🏻
My dad and I each had one. In 1981 he bought two new but previous year (1980) Jag 3000s and a trailer. We drove them all over the Adirondack Mountains.
I aquired a 90s Jag and it does the job, my first Arctic Cat 😁 I'm officially a fan now, I love my Jag! I haven't started my 01SXR700 yet, but I love the Jag!
Its 2nd Owner said its a 92 but edit 91JagDlx440LT my friend helped me rebuild. He changed the clutching, then lowered the gearing and I do about 40 plus but I'm impressed by the low-end heavy log pulling power and fuel efficiency.
Yea these were good simple sleds easy to fix. I miss a sled like that. Not everything has to be 90 mph up a mountain. Sometimes you just want to go for a rip around the farm. Check the fences or go spot for deer. These are still good enough for that and no time payments!!!

I have a 89 Jag 440 as well, those 440 Suzuki’s are very tough and reliable engines
I can attest I have one as well and the throttle stuck when I started it and it hit a tree going 30 ish and stayed on
That very clean 1989 jag

These Jag AFS weren't speed demons but were very peppy at take off and slower speeds. Good times.
The windshield had me rolling on the ground laughing!

You can't kill these things!

What are the plastic skis from or what did they come off of
I think they were ski skins, alot of people put them on in the 90s
@@taskforcealto ahh okay, In the video it looks like a solid plastic ski
How's she do running with the newer 440s
Not as fast but, it starts every 2nd pull.
Got a 98 yesterday. Needs a bit of TLC but I got it running just as I was giving up on her for the night. I might have some future questions 🤔 😅
I got a 1999 Jag 440 fan deluxe. I even got parts to put a reverse box on it. Then got a 2000 ZL 550 liquid, (Way faster)
Fixed both up. mistress
