S1000R holds a special place in my heart as my first ever 1000cc bike back in 2014 and my first BMW. I really loved that bike in bright red. I'm not taken with the looks of the new one so much it's trying to fit in while the previous-gen wanted to stand out, good or bad.
The sound i didn't expect this sound of bike is so beautiful as it design, i was waiting for the review for S1000R from long time since it was launched, NICE JOB thank you for review this bike.
No joke! These guys approached her and basically talked to her like she was a helpless girl just because she's a woman on a fast motorcycle that they themselves probably can't even ride. She's LITERALLY riding a bike that's not supposed to hit the streets until the next day and if these guys really rode they would of taken the opportunity to check out a brand new exclusive bike instead of trying to be a superheroes.
It was not too bad Kate. Liked the view better when it was angled up looking at where you were going than looking at the bar and dash all the time. We know what the bike is like from your squeaks of excitement and enthusiasm. Bike would not be for me though as I like a bit of wind protection. I would go for the XR. 😊😘

Well, well, well I've been looking for it on UA-cam. The 2021 S1000R videos on UA-cam. Here I am stateside, riding the 2018 S1000R waiting for the videos to show me what I need to know about the 2021 version of my bike. I worship my motorcycle and am beyond excited about this new version. I have 25,000 miles on my S1000R and it is mind-blowing that it could be better. We likely won't get any of the new S1000R here in the state of Oregon, until fall 2021. It might be the 2022 S1000R by then. I am a bit concerned about the more forward position on the bars, and have heard the pegs might be higher than the bike I ride now. I need the lower seat, which is why I likely have to wait to be able to special order it next year. Thanks for posting. Likely the sport package is what I need as I run forged wheels on my 2018.
Lovely bike Kate was not expecting to see the TFT display or the wonder wheel on a bike like this, but makes total sense. Also I have had my BMW Urban G/S X delivered a few days ago, would have brought it from you but its a bit of a journey for me. £7750 for a 2017 in mint condition at 6K miles with Wunderlich extras, pretty cracking deal off a old retired guy, catch you soon thanks for your review it convinced me to go for it

What I like about demo bikes is that usually they are well specked up and make a good used buy that’s why I bought Bowker’s 6 month old F900XR TE demo last year it’s fully loaded and was a grand cheaper than a new one and because of lockdown was low mileage 😀

I skipped the video to get to the riding segment and it landed right on the part where you were putting the fuel nozzle into the tanks tiny filling hole and saying, 'Does my vagina look like I can't handle it? 🤯I was like wtf?. I had to rewind it and saw the conversation with the guy in the car. Made a lot more sense. I thought I'd wandered too far away from the TMF 😂

Earlier today i was thinking have a i missed your videos ?, hoped everything is well and now there you are again with another nice video :) And this time i got the urge to go to my local dealer when summer comes and take a testride just for fun. Never ridden any of the BMW 1000 R models but you make it look like something one must try a warm day on a nice road. Not like i'm gonna trade in the bikes i have but a test run ... :)

Cheers for the upload; as an aside, regarding the guys telling you to be careful - I've had plenty of guys tell me to be careful on my Triumph, and I'm a man. Some people are just worried for anyone on a motorcycle - I try to take it as genuine concern. I don't think my wife (who also rides) has heard that phrase any more or any less than I have.
Great review was really good to get a proper view on what it’s like, mine just got delivered, what a bike it’s so light reminds me of riding little bikes but with big bike power it’s so easy to move about it is definitely my favourite bike so far🤙🤙

Is the new suspension like the RR suspension? Does it have digital scanners? 🔧 ⚙️ The old s1000r had to be manually adjusted to get into the electronics operating zone for your weight. It was a total ball ache. I would upgrade for the suspension alone.
Nice job Kate, scrubbing in tires and checking out brakes and all other systems before a customer takes it for a test ride. Plus you had fun doing it too. I will not buy a bike from any dealer that does not do a test ride out of the crate after assembly.
You don’t need any make up, that is one beautiful bike, I’m thinking of getting shot of my tracer 9 and either getting one of these or an mt10. Great video.👍🏍

Honestly, I've mixed feeling about this go pro, it makes things too smooth and steadies everything so it all happened alot faster than it looks! Just had to quick lifesaver and get out the way!
Good vid... interesting, I am always a little uncertain about higher seated bikes where i have to spend too much time riding Flamingo at each stop, but this seems very managable.
Thank you for posting. The first video I have seen of this bike in the wild. Video is an issue, but you know that already. Back in October trying to choose between the RR or wait for the R. I was too impatient so decided on the RR. :) A bit of a difference between the GS line and the S line. :) Going to have to see it in person before I can decide if I like the front.

Hi Kate Im new to your channel and looking to get back on a bike after quite a few years, back in the day i rode a load of 2 strokes and a Kwaki z55o but havnt had a bike in 25 years! I luv the naked look and the s1000r , you talked a lot about seat height reduction on other BMWs, did you need that on the s1000r? Do you think a relative newby 5ft 7 could ride it , Have a full licence and not any accidents in 10 plus years riding , feel my bike skills are resonable though never been on a track, thoughts? I was looking at MT09 but the BMW is a class above?
Cracking looking bike and a good mixed test ride out. Did have a sore neck hunched down watching it though…….bring on 360VR and we can personally adjust the angle :-)

Yeah, they would. Guys talk to each other all the time. Literally, every time I talk to another rider, I say, "Ride safe, stay safe, dont be a dumbass and kill yourself," or something like it. Some people are looking to be offended. Ya know what doesn't happen as a guy? Me being butt hurt when someone is just being polite and looking out for my safety.
as a previous S1000R owner this new one looks awesome, can't wait to try it myself....also I (a man) get random people asking "is that a 1000" or saying "that's a lot of bike, be careful on that thing" a fair amount, it's a bit patronizing to be lectured by some clueless cager who's more likely to plow their car into a motorcyclist while on their phone than the other way around, but its not necessarily sexist
1:24 the issue (my issue anyway) isn't that it doesn't look good. It does! My problem is that it doesn't look like a BMW anymore to me. It's kind of generic now. I found a picture of a red/white/blue Grom SP that looks comically similar down to the gold forks. The previous gen with its asymmetrical crazy eyes headlights was distinctly BMW from the front. It just sort of isn't anymore. I am however jealous of those badass black bars and a master cylinder that isn't a plastic cup.

2 display settings on the dash. The sporty display with the speed at the top (taped over so editing is easier incase I go over) but then 24 mins is the standard display so the tape only covers the top of the numbers. Good for when town riding so I can see im not taking the mick 👍
You got my sub, there are some good woman rider blog out there but they always feel like they compete with yoga pants and always feel like the riding come second to their personality/brand. You are a proper rider, with definite advanced riding skill above the regular Sunday rider, you know and clearly love the bikes you ride on and that's super! For me that love proper vlog about the bikes more than about the "brand" of the vlogger (Yamminoob is still funny though!) you are as interesting and enjoyable as TheMissendenFlyer, very glad I stumbled on your channel this morning.

Honestly, I've mixed feeling about this go pro, it makes things too smooth and steadies everything so it all happened alot faster than it looks! Just had to quick lifesaver and get out the way!
Good vid... interesting, I am always a little uncertain about higher seated bikes where i have to spend too much time riding Flamingo at each stop, but this seems very managable.

Thank you for posting. The first video I have seen of this bike in the wild. Video is an issue, but you know that already. Back in October trying to choose between the RR or wait for the R. I was too impatient so decided on the RR. :) A bit of a difference between the GS line and the S line. :) Going to have to see it in person before I can decide if I like the front.

Great video Kate! I have a 2015 S1000R which leads me to an important upgrade question. At highway speeds ~ 70Mph how is the vibration in the bars and the footpegs?
Yeah Kate, don’t write off that expensive new bike! 🤣 Looks awesome. What is there not to like about it! Beautiful front end, like those bars, nice and aggressive. Rear end is nicely finished too. I do love a naked sports bike, tis a shame about the camera angle though, we’ve all been there. You’re a lucky Lady

Hi Kate Im new to your channel and looking to get back on a bike after quite a few years, back in the day i rode a load of 2 strokes and a Kwaki z55o but havnt had a bike in 25 years! I luv the naked look and the s1000r , you talked a lot about seat height reduction on other BMWs, did you need that on the s1000r? Do you think a relative newby 5ft 7 could ride it , Have a full licence and not any accidents in 10 plus years riding , feel my bike skills are resonable though never been on a track, thoughts? I was looking at MT09 but the BMW is a class above?

Cracking looking bike and a good mixed test ride out. Did have a sore neck hunched down watching it though…….bring on 360VR and we can personally adjust the angle :-)

Yeah, they would. Guys talk to each other all the time. Literally, every time I talk to another rider, I say, "Ride safe, stay safe, dont be a dumbass and kill yourself," or something like it. Some people are looking to be offended. Ya know what doesn't happen as a guy? Me being butt hurt when someone is just being polite and looking out for my safety.
as a previous S1000R owner this new one looks awesome, can't wait to try it myself....also I (a man) get random people asking "is that a 1000" or saying "that's a lot of bike, be careful on that thing" a fair amount, it's a bit patronizing to be lectured by some clueless cager who's more likely to plow their car into a motorcyclist while on their phone than the other way around, but its not necessarily sexist

1:24 the issue (my issue anyway) isn't that it doesn't look good. It does!
My problem is that it doesn't look like a BMW anymore to me. It's kind of generic now. I found a picture of a red/white/blue Grom SP that looks comically similar down to the gold forks.
The previous gen with its asymmetrical crazy eyes headlights was distinctly BMW from the front. It just sort of isn't anymore.
I am however jealous of those badass black bars and a master cylinder that isn't a plastic cup.
I have that spec of that bike, but with a pillion and the brembos. It's the absolute best.

How's the turning circle. The previous model wasn't so good, you had to do 10 point turn's in tight spaces.

Whats up with the dash around 24 minutes?
2 display settings on the dash. The sporty display with the speed at the top (taped over so editing is easier incase I go over) but then 24 mins is the standard display so the tape only covers the top of the numbers. Good for when town riding so I can see im not taking the mick 👍

You got my sub, there are some good woman rider blog out there but they always feel like they compete with yoga pants and always feel like the riding come second to their personality/brand. You are a proper rider, with definite advanced riding skill above the regular Sunday rider, you know and clearly love the bikes you ride on and that's super! For me that love proper vlog about the bikes more than about the "brand" of the vlogger (Yamminoob is still funny though!) you are as interesting and enjoyable as TheMissendenFlyer, very glad I stumbled on your channel this morning.

I rode a S1000R and a Speed Triple back to back a couple of years ago. I ended up with the Speedy. Would probably do the same with the new models but thanks for the review.
