Nice going man! I watched another video where the guy literally tore it apart in order to remove it. This saved me a lot of time. Thanks for taking the time to post it.
The trick is getting that stubby threaded stud out of the way first. It's put in with thread locker and there's not enough thread for two nuts so I wasn't able to get it out. I tried your trick with the bezel, trying to work around the stud and broke my bezel in half getting it off. A little Gorilla Glue may fix it but not holding my breath.
Im not sure which stud your speaking of. Theres 3 screws holding the antenna base to the fender. Once removed you can use pliers to twist the pressed connected wire off the base you just removed with the 3 screws.
I unscrew my factory antenna and still have a screw sticking up that help it into place. My bullet antenna has an adapter that should screw down into that hole if I can remove it but it’s not budging. I tried getting some vise grips on there but it wouldn’t budge. I thought maybe it was locktight... if so they used the red 😞
Oh....i see what you mean. Thats a stud that evidently pulled out of the antenna. You just want to maybe find two nuts that fit the thread and lock the nuts tight to remove the stud or maybe pliers to remove the stud.
