- What a crazy surprise to have the great Stevie Wonder stop by the Spectrasonics booth to play KEYSCAPE at NAMM!
Stevie is using a Novation Launchkey to play Keyscape in this video. The keyboard stand is a custom Gibraltar build.
So glad Spectrasonics is letting undiscovered talent get a shot with Keyscape!
He got a FREE keyboard and software.
He deserves it! I hope he puts out an EP or something!

Um, I think Stevie has received his share of props in his life. Last I checked, he's been hailed as a genius since his first album came out and he has TWENTY FIVE GODDAMN GRAMMY'S.

Still can't quite afford Keyscape, but seeing so many legends and prodigies using the same inexpensive $150 MIDI keyboard as me (Novation Launchkey) is inspiring and kind of unexpected. Maybe it goes to show that in the realm of digital sound, software is the true magic and probably 10x more important than the actual peripheral. Same reason a cheap guitar will sound great on an amazing amp, but not vice versa. Anyways, thanks for reminding me that if it's good enough for Stevie Wonder or DOMi to shred on, there's no reason I need anything else (except Keyscape/Omni soon!)
