@@ThePakistanExperience why do Pakistanis always tend to assume that indian state or the Indian majority has, does and will always discriminate against the minorities? The tiniest minorities are parsis, jains, Buddhists, Jews. They don't make such complaints. Infact all these are thriving in India. Only Jews have left for israel but definitely not because they were persecuted here. The Indian state through it's secular constitution does not discriminate on the basis of religion. The majority of the country ie the Hindus don't have religious dictates in their scriptures to discriminate against non Hindus. Going back to my original question my simple conclusion is that they look at the world through their own religioustinted glasses. The hindu muslim problem in india is a continuation what happened in 1947. Most people from the mainland india who voted for pakistan, have remained in india, and behave like they behave all over the world as europeans are realizing now. That is the root of the problem. I am a sikh from punjab, India. My mother used to tell me that her grandfather who was a practicing lawyer (LLB) and a very influential person after partition was offered post of chief justice of pakistan. Infact her grandfather grandmother were invited to pakistan. He and his wife visited pakistan and were given full protocol. I am told that he was given a big car and escorted everywhere. It was then when he was offered to stay in pakistan but he politely refused and came back.

In East Pakistan(today Bangladesh) Muslim League(ML) had formed a coalition with *Jogendra Nath Mandal* (a leader of Bengali Dalits). Because of his help ML was able to flip many districts which otherwise had Hindu majority into East Pakistan. But within a year of Pakistan's formation Mandal saw Muslim-Dalit coalition breakup, now Dalits were seen as Kafirs and thus worthy of persecution. He returned to India, but price of his mistake is still being paid by Dalits in Bangladesh.
In numbers, Hindus in East Pak/BNG went from *23% in 1951* to *13% in 1971* to just *8% in 2021.* Most of these Hindus were Dalits and see the type of ethnic cleansing they have faced.
Now just replace Dalits with Sikhs and East Pakistan with West Pak, the story would be exactly same. That is what he is advocating. How crooked can one be?

I appreciate your opinions. But this idea you hold about Pakistan being a state of minorities later turned into Islamic theocracy isn’t factually correct. I agree the nature of Pakistan was defined later by various leaders. But the upheaval Indian subcontinent went through while partition inherently meant that Pakistan could not be just a state for minorities.
The series is more about what could have been than what it actually was, what other paths history could have taken
The thought that Pakistan was made as a state for minorities is non-sensical as well as false. Any state with unequal proportions of different groups of people cannot be a state for minorities as there is going to be group that is in majority versus other groups. Pakistan was even more Muslim dominated, than India was ever Hindu dominated. Moreover partition itself was done on Muslims being separate nation than Hindus, other groups did not even matter in this narration of Jinnah and Muslim league. Have some integrity.

Actually we should have all listened to Gandhi Jee and rather than wasting our energies on separation, Jinnah should've taken the Sikhs and other minorities, and even the lower caste Hindus into confidence to ensure each other's rights in greater India. You seem to see everything from a nation state perspective. Panjab wasn’t supposed to be partitioned in the first place. Sikhs elsewhere and Sikhs in Panjab aren’t the same thing. And pre partition Panjab was never divided along communal lines, but Baradari affiliations.

The idea that wagah can be a border is the reason why pak will cease to exist. Nations are not only built upon borders and united idea. National geography plays a major role especially in volatile regions. The reason why pak is struggling today can be attributed to artificial cut off from eastern sub continent.
