Melodies aren’t that hard; pick a scale or a mode (a scale and a mode are pretty much the same thing, there are two half step and 5 whole steps) chose 5 notes of that scale; the root note and 4 other notes and then the next octave up change one of those notes. Next octave up again change yet another note. You wanna learn piano? Easy! Just play the black notes plus F and B and play everything in the key of Eb minor like it’s the 90’s. If you want to play the ‘Metallica’ scale, change the the F to an E.
