You were nervous, you had your tongue hanging out the whole time. It was pretty funny!! That vehicle is really top heavy from the drone footage. Hope you had a great time. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video! Our son overlands and has been to San Juan mountains, Silverton and the ghost town! He’s about to head there again on Sunday! We just left his house, working on our van! Love the Wyatt footage! Taylor crossed that stream like a champ! Carry some binoculars. 😁 👍❤️
Yeah not sure I would take new rig there lol. I could see the nervousness in Taylor when you initially got there, then realized because she was seeing in Kevin so I understand lol. Great to see Wyatt getting so involved and doing the little fist pumps that was so cute. The view from there was amazing. Truck is definitely not a parking lot Princess lol. Glad the rain stopped and you got to see the abandoned town. That was a pretty steep incline to get that drone glad you got it. Great video guys looking forward to the next one. Have a great week.
Love. Watching. You. Guys. Love. New. Rig. Your. Baby. Is so adorable stay. Safe. Out there. But enjoy your. Time like. This. It’s. God. Country. Bless. You. Both. 🤗❤️🤗❤️
Very cool to see you got a bit out of your comfort zone with this rig. Have you decided you are going to get one permanently? I am in the process of switching to a slightly larger rig (Rossmonster Baja) than my previous one (F250 Tremor + Supertramp camper). Good to see you take this rig up that far with no issues. I know what I will be doing one day. 🙂 Keep it real. PS: What is your camera setup? Do you have a video where you share that? I need a real camera besides my GoPro and my Pocket 3.
Pre-existing landslide above you on the mountain on the uphill at your campsite. Trust your wife's instincts! Just because it has stopped raining does not necessarily decrease the risks. The load is already on board and plenty of landslides occur after the rain stops! Safe travels.
You guys went to Iceland. I give you a thumbs up and think you’re good. I will say it looks like it slid already at some point. Not sure if you seen Amy and I in the blizzard in Iceland. I was pretty nervous and it takes a lot for me to be nervous. All good but totally get it’s hard to shake the nerves. Love the strawberry shortcake bars. Just keep saying you’re living the dream! All kinds of things going on in my head. Lol ill go over and give greg and jess some support from a fellow small creator. Looked pretty rugged out there. Oh man, my drone fell out of the sky and it went into the Long Island sound. I tried to recover it but almost got hypothermia. Ended up doing the replacement from care refresh. 🎉
Good recovery with the drone. Hey, curious if you might want to look into a gimbal or even turning on enhanced stabilization on your camera for your handheld shots. They're very bumpy and kinda detract for your excellent storytelling. Definitely enjoying your experimentation with the Storyteller rig.
We got a new lens and accidentally turned stabilization off when switching to manual focus in the truck. 😕 unfortunately didn’t realize until we were done filming this one
I would certainly opt for all the insurance for that drive! The drone shots make your friend's truck look like a toy compared to the beast you were driving.
That was definitely landslide pron areia , it looked like just behind you was going to go at any moment , one torrential down pour away , I think you would have been fine even if it happened but you never know and you definitely would have been stuck their for a very long time , hopefully not as long as that car . Lol.
Cool video and nice earth roamer, however, from a local's perspective, those rigs are a bit too big for those 4x4 roads in the San Juan's in terms of width and height.
great hilt...been watching campers for months now and i hvnt seen them with a proper rig except for the russo's but they had it for a couple of days too nd it sucked...anyway the storyteller is my favorite , so plz keep it
I think your old van could have made just fine. I can't remember if it was AWD or 4x4 but I would say a 144 4x4 would have no problem specially if it had a lift.
We must have passed each other, what days were you there? We had the same exact weather, and I swear we just sat and ate at the same restaurant outdoors. And that road up to Annamis forks is not necessarily smooth.
Getting off the road to drive through the creek at 41:09 is the behavior they are starting to crack down on. Usually its the sxs's get blamed for doing that.
You need a big dog , he or she not heshe , can eat all your leftovers , food you don't want or aren't going to eat and he or she can eat you out of house and home , lol. But seriously big dogs are loving and protective , they are good guards and babysitters . Everybody loves a family with young children and a big dog . My babydoll was 128 pounds and would have licked you to death , before she would hurt anybody , but people were afraid of her because she had the ability to eat them .lol .
The capsule sits on bushings above the frame allowing it to flex and sway while the truck stays solid. You don't feel the sway of the capsule as much as you think.
Who pays you to talk about Thailand like this? It's exactly the same as the Thai propaganda. Both Myanmar and Thailand are controlled by Thai's monarchy, including the civil war in Myanmar. Thais living poor, only monarchy rich
Why? It’s obviously easy to communicate when you need to. Would you rather them call each other on the phone? Walkie talkies would be better as some of those small towns don’t have really good cell signals.
@@MathersOnTheMap aside from having GMRS, you need to have satellite. We spent the whole month of August off grid in Colorado. We flipped over our trailer at 11,000 ft and thankfully we had satellite communication. At least we had somebody to communicate with on the other end until we were able to rectify the situation. They were actually spinning up to come get us but it was going to be the next day.
Great video. Awesome drone shots. Loved the music. Such a beautiful part of our amazing country. Thanks for the ride!!!
Yay! I was excited for the Drifter Journey reunion❤ great video!
They’re great!
The rig looks pure awesome! Reminded me about Earthroamer!

haha for good reason! Lot of liability on my shoulders if that thing rolls down the cliff 😅
@MathersOnTheMap is good nerves to keep everything smooth
I can’t remember holding my breath so long watching a UA-cam video! You guys are super gutsy❣️
The Rockies never seem to disappoint! Epic campsite 🏕️
Great video! Walkie-talkies by Rocky talkies, they are the best with amazing customer service
Welcome to our state. Be careful four wheeling can be addictive. Safe travels.
It was so fun!!!
Hey, you have a wonderful view and Wyatt gets to experience what it's like to be in the mountains and you have a great Truck Happy wensday.😁👍
Great video. Was figuring Taylor was flying the drone while y’all in motion. At least you found it.

Haha we had binoculars but never used them!!! It's a beautiful area, I'm sure your son has a blast and will Sunday! Hope the build is going well!
🤣🤣. Thanks!! The build is going well. Slow going but about to kick it up a notch!! The HILT is a cool rig!
Oh my gosh that is such a gorgeous place ❤
Ran that several times in my class-c 4X4 lifted motorhome. (not a half million $$). Thanks for the honest video.

Love this video guys! This rig is pretty dang cool, but im more about taking it to places that aren't so scary ;)
AAAA+ on the AWESOME music selection! Great video!
Thank you!!!
I was on the edge of my seat wondering if you would get the drone back.......but then i remembered that we were there.
Hahahahah I’m dead! Thank god for Greg and those eagle eyes! 👀

I love it!

Camping in the old mining camp is awesome
EPIC!! 👍🏻👏🏻👊🏻💪🏻🙌🏻

Great video ! One feedback. Please have some kind of stabilization on video.

That’s nothing compared to where that machine can go but I can understand the apprehension!
That's fair... but it was only our second day driving it and we're still new to the offroad game.
New subscriber Big fan from kukiland 🔥🔥❤️

Rain changes everything. Roads that 99% of vehicles could drive on turn into 4x4 only real fast.

Hi, watching your video right now and wanted to know what walkie talkies are you using and are you happy with them looking at getting some?
Here's our affiliate link to the talkies! app.rockporch.com/prdlink/aJmUyOYxpA I really enjoyed them using them for snowboarding and caravanning.
@@MathersOnTheMap Thank you!
What’sthe truck camper ?
That’s not that bad I see you guys do watch the net on UA-cam
0:23 "remember, this isn't our rig" - its not? Thought you bought it.
Nope unfortunately! Just demoing it for 10 days!
Great video. I just can't get past $500 grand for that RV. I'd rather buy 4 or 5 new ones as the years go by at $100K to $125K each.
Airing down your tires would make for a little smoother ride……but I’m sure you already know that.
You need a big dog , he or she not heshe , can eat all your leftovers , food you don't want or aren't going to eat and he or she can eat you out of house and home , lol.

Wait is that your vehicle or not?
What is your driving experience to wrap up the 10 days?
the truck drove great to be honest and felt more stable in high wind then our sprinter van believe it or not!
I like the design but all the vids it looks like its top hvy n gonna flop over on its side. Sure nice when your parked though.
The capsule sits on bushings above the frame allowing it to flex and sway while the truck stays solid. You don't feel the sway of the capsule as much as you think.
IF it were not for the "blueness" of how the state treats people, Id visit.
Give it a chance mate, have an open mind
Why don’t you go around old car there is plenty of room
Only used the word gnarly 23 times
That’s gnarly!
That's pretty inconsiderate and unsafe to bring a wide rig up those roads.
Who pays you to talk about Thailand like this? It's exactly the same as the Thai propaganda. Both Myanmar and Thailand are controlled by Thai's monarchy, including the civil war in Myanmar. Thais living poor, only monarchy rich
UM HELL NO!!
I can't handle the walkie talkies
Why? It’s obviously easy to communicate when you need to. Would you rather them call each other on the phone? Walkie talkies would be better as some of those small towns don’t have really good cell signals.
There was zero cell signal up there so without the walkie talkies we would have been screwed
