while you can keep a crested gecko on a powdered diet, feeding crickets will help it grow faster, and reach it's full growth potential. IMO they 100% need crickets as they are growing. Once full sized adults they themselves might even stop eating crickets, depends on the gecko.
I made a pervious video talking about baby Crested gecko setups and this is very similar except it's geared towards hatchlings. My other video was meant for small geckos 6 - 12 grams
idk if u remember my other comment but i went to a reptile expo and ended buying 2 lily white crested geckos, one probable male and 1 probable female for 1650 for both. I got an amazing deal!! I ended up using these same exact bins but i drilled a circular whole in the front of the cage with a drill and a circular bit. Then hot glued a screen for the ventilation. Inside Mines similar to yours, paper towel roll, egg crate, and a plant with paper towel substrate. I'm also getting my 2 semi adults tomorrow so i bought a 56 qt bin from walmart for them. They work great, i made the whole in the front so I can stack them on top of each other and not worry about ventilation.
Someone help me plz, I have a crested gecko from pangea reptile, hatch date was 7/31/18 he is still small I feel like, he is on day 6 with me he's not eating much he did poop once in that 6 days should I take him out of his 12x12x18 and put him in a kritter keeper I have a weight scale on the way in mail so I don't know his weight yet.
If you find egg carton or cardboard tubes deteriorate quickly or the paper gets a bit moldy you are probably over misting. Tubs can hold moisture a little too well sometimes.
Any tips for getting a picky crestie to eat bugs. He was given to me by someone who wasn't taking care of him. He had mbd at some point broken and refused elbow. Everything else looks good. My vet said he needs to gain weight but I can't get him to eat crickets or dubias.
For drilling in clear plastic, a block of wood as a backing to drill into will solve the cracking issue. Cheers!
Your channel is growing my guy, good job
Noice i was hoping to get a lil crestie! I dont wanna waste more money on crickets😂😂

That's a good idea putting the screen in front so you can stack them!
Like always, great vid!
Thank you

When misting how to u keep all of the paper products from getting super soggy
Prices have now quadrupled.
Where’s the cheapest place I can get the hanging plants from?
how long do you find the cardboard lasts with misting?
Many weeks

I love the vifeo but i have notice that 5he car engine starts to mold after a while or starts to break down quick.
You might want to try not getting it as wet when misting. I have never had a problem with mold or the cartons breaking down.

Try ripping the head off of a cricket and offering him the body.
There’s also still mealworms, my crested gecko eats mealworms, but not dubias
I use the same tubs from Walmart. I purchase one 97 cents plant for each baby. It works perfectly. Cardboard gets too gross for me I don’t like it.
