It took me a few tries too, before I got used to using glue dots. Now I only use wax in a pen when trying to be really quiet. I did learn that If you have used wax in the pen before the glue dots, the glue dots won't stay in the pen well. I clean out the wax with alcohol and a toothpick before putting in the glue dots.
Thank you for sharing this. I bought micro dots and was giving this a try, but tossed the pen down because I was disappointed. I will give it another try after your advice.
@@DiamondpaintingwithcocoI will definitely try as I’m not crazy about the wax. I see the 1 in your video is permanent Amazon also has removable. Do you recall if anyone said which one to use? Just wondering if the removable would be easier in the beginning. But also not sure if it would last as long. If you don’t know I’m thinking about getting both to try & see the difference.
I'm a long time user of glue dots. It's all I use for single placing, but it is SO frustrating getting the stickiness just right. Sometimes I resort to putting a really, really small dot of hand lotion on, & then dab my pen against my hand several times moving it around in different places. I never have as much success as others with the glue dot lasting as long as they say it lasts for them. I don't know why, but it still lasts a long time. Another thing I've done once the stickiness stops working effectively is pull out the glue dot (with tweezers), turn it over, then put it back in. Even though I'm impatient & grumble about getting the stickiness just right, I love glue dots & won't use anything else, although I'm very curious about the e painter pen...

Thank you for sharing this video. I have been afraid to use glue dots but now that you have shown me I think I will try them

That’s awesome Sam. It really just takes getting that glue dot less sticky. 😊

@@sharonfeatherstone8219 hi Sharon. Yeah, trust me you’ll get it if you stick to it. Just keep trying. You’ll be glad you did. 😊
Tyfs, I know some have used but never seen anyone explain. I will order some & definitely keep working with them like you mentioned.

@ I would get permanent but both would be nice.
@@Diamondpaintingwithcocook, have both in my cart now & placing order. I will try both in different pens to compare & let you know.
@ that would be great 😊. Let the group know too. I think it might help a lot of people.
