No one can rip your heart, and make you thank him, like Roy Williamson could! Thanks for this!

The Corries cannot be replaced. No one will ever come close.

Alas, I think there are none to replace the Corries.
And those of us left behind must be content, as much as we can be, by such recordings as these. Reminds me of Tolkien's
"Where now the horse and the rider? where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harp-string, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain...

That's the best love song ever. It brings tears on your eyes. And Roy's voice is so touching.

This tune led me to the beautiful music of the Corries. This is the most stunning video of this song. There aren't enough words to describe the treasured music of Roy and Ronnie. Thank you so, so much for every tune you have created.

I thought this was the best thing the Corries produced and one of the most beautiful love songs in the Scottish lexicon.

I first heard this played at a concert in Glasgow City Halls in the 1970's. One of the most beautiful songs I know.

Made all the more special when you've been to the places in the song. Loch Tay is my favourite place in Scotland.

If I understood the pertinent passage in Ronnie Browne's autobiography correctly, it's Roy rowing the boat. I wouldn't have expected that, especially as this was filmed in January (he said it was awfully cold). If you look closely at the shot from the back you can see that the person rowing the boat is wearing the same jacket as Roy.

Jim B ... if you are still around, here comes an echo> you are more than right> the Corries cannot be replaced. No one will ever come close! There was only one Jessie Norman, and there will only be the Corries as ambassadors for the Scots.

iMdReSSediNdEcAy that was awesome overlaying of pictures(I'm sorry I can't remember the right word for it) But it kind of looks quite spiritual the before and after images imposed on one another is beautiful

Gaileen, this was a video made for the Corries' 1987 TV series on BBC. There are several other good videos from this series you may have seen on YT: Greenfields of France, Dawning of the Day, Massacre of Glencoe are just the first three that come to mind. They are all on the two-DVD set A Complete Vision of the Corries available from the Corries website or other retailers such as Amazon.
