Season 1 is great. Very excited about Season 2. Great job.
One of the disadvantages of being off grid and not watching commercial TV, I don’t hear about shows like this.
Thanks for what you do, Les!
Shows been around for ever bud all u needed was OLN I think it was
Outdoor living network
Creator driven programming is superior anyway.
This series is a masterpiece that every budding chef out there, professional, hobbyist, otherwise, should watch.
It has so many angles it’s perfect. Well said.
You forgot the young budding forager.
Well spoken
Les, you were a huge influence on my teen years. Watching Surviorman ignited my passion for the outdoors and started my path towards self reliance and the art of perparing for survival situation. You did what no man had done and shed light on the importance of survival on a MASSIVE scale. Watching you throw yourself into dangerous situations taught me to appreciate how harsh mother nature can be but keeping your cool and taking time to appreciate the beauty of mother nature spoke to me. I'm really glad to see you educating publicly again. I look forward to learning more from you throughout the years.
Same here. He got me outdoors again. Which I believe was his intention.
Sure there's bears and big cats. But I feel if we respect nature it will let us dwell indefinitely
The amazing thing about the show is when chef Paul says a plant tastes like green beans, I have to go out there and forage for myself to know how much it tastes like that. Loving everything about the show. Dont forget to do season 3 in New England. East Coast Les Please!!!!!! You could start in Quebec, New Brunswick, or Nova Scotia, and make your way down the east coast US until you run out of episodes in the season. Would be insanely popular.
Thank you Les, always love your content wether it be bigfoot, survival, foraging, cooking i love it all.
This show in particular is inspiring to me because of your location. I live in an area that is VERY similar to this - A semi-arid high country. I love sagebrush. The best part about excursions into our surrounding county side is coming home and even my boots have the perfume of sage on them. I have brewed beer seasoned with sage. Which, was very good, by the way. I am awakening every year more and more to the bounty we have in what seems a dry barren environment. Thank you for this series.
My gosh I've waited so long for this. Thank you so much Les for bringing this to life!❤️
this is one of my favorite shows in many years...please keep it up. It is so relaxing and fascinating and inpiring. The tone is perfect
Been looking forward to this, Thanks Les and Paul you guys are an awesome team.
Love this! as a chef who loves to forage, Les, you're the man.
Thanks for doing another season Les and Paul! Love this show almost as much as Survivorman!
This is great! Thanks Les, Paul and Kevin!
Hey... Les I love the PASSION you bring to the breakfast, lunch, and dinner table.😉 😊🌱
I can't say for sure that this is Oregon, but I'm proud you've called my home state your second home. Especially Southern Oregon and the Rogue Valley. Hoping you can highlight more desert areas from north eastern, Central eastern and south eastern Oregon.
I believe he's in the Okanagan, but it's a very similar feeling region too parts of Washington and Oregon.
@@bluesail4160 yeah I figured that out shortly after I commented.
It really is very similar to the Oregon outback.
@Michael Chase I grew up in Eastern Oregon, and I really had to do a double take to make sure he wasn't in family's backyard!
@@asma11wombat my family, mom, dad sister, spent some time near Klamath falls, was nice then, 70's. They even had signs at the border with CA saying "don't Californicate Oregon"; too late now, I guess it did not work. LOL ;D
That landscape looks very similar to where I grew up in Wyoming. Love everything you do, Les. Thank you!
There is something so cozy about this show. Survivorman has always been one of my cozy shows but there's something beautiful about using the wild edibles to create dishes. Fantastic job.
This made my friggin day. Your hardwork and are greatly cherished and appreciated!
The packaged nonsense of things like "Naked and afraid" makes something of value, like this, so SO much sweeter.
I never knew the balsam root was edible. Beautiful flowers that I've enjoyed visually but never tried to go beyond that.
Living out west is pretty neat when everytime you go outside you can simply walk across the road and smell that sagebrush. AMAZING
Wonderful job showcasing Balsamroot! I come across it so often while out harvesting in BC, very nice to see it showcased so well here.
i love these series,Les stroud has always been a hero of mine, and food has been aswell, Food has gotten me through some of the harshest time of my lifes, this is also some of the most realest documentary;s about food there is,plus its Les stroud rediscovering himself, how can you not love this.
Absolutely the best!!!
So Appreciative this show is back for a second season.
Thanks, Les
I agree. My favorite is just to go spend time out there.
It's like a magical treasure hunt.
I’m so happy! Not only do I get to watch Les Stroud on my own time, I get to watch him eat. Every other time he’s on camera he’s been starving, and I feel for the poor guy.
Glad this series is bac💯💯💯hoping for a return of survivor man series 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Amazing duo. Chef Paul is so grounded. Humble. Blends so well with your go for it style. Much love
I'm so excited for season 2. I'm a bit late to the party, but I'll love every minute.
Les and Paul working together is so amazing. Even if you don’t care for foods. Every episode makes me happy
Can't wait for another great season.
Yes! I love opening the door to edibles!
Truly grateful to see you both back. Missed seeing this show
Thank you for coming to the Okanogan area! We are totally loving your wild harvest here. We are being inspired to go out and locally forage in the Okanogan.❤❤

I live in Reno and the wild horses love the Balsam Root, and yes Sage Brush is everywhere, used to be invasive before it became the west.

What a treat, thank you!
Man that looks delicious. I was smiling and salivating and so hungry
loving it LES!!!!!
A wonderful first Episode of season two. You masterfully bring these not so known plants to the table and in such a good way. Well done both of you. I look forward to more of the Wild Harvest.
What a great mashup of presentation. A bit of the wild and then to cook with modern amenities makes a fruitful direction, can't wait for more!
Really cool vid, love the foraging, showing use of wild foods. Thanks Les
Amazing episode Les. Thank you for your amazing videos.
Les i am very happy that you are doing what you love and it shows in your quality of videos you make for ether tv or here on UA-cam i have yet to come across another channel that will put this must time into there work
Love this!
I'm so happy to see this ! was not available anywhere
Thank you Les
Awesome video Les, and it's fantastic to see you using food I grew up with in a region I grew up in! It's always funny, as an indigenous wildlife bio, I love seeing videos in my region. It becomes a game of trying to find your exact spot for most of the shots. Funnily enough, I can pinpoint most of these shots as I've worked on bighorn sheep in majority of them. I've also picked all through here with my grandmother as a kid. We have different ways of cooking Balsamroot, and we pick it at a different time of year (a few weeks earlier), but it's awesome to see what you two were able to accomplish.
Next time you're in the area I would love to show you some of our more regionally specific traditional foods!
Fantastic show
Living from Solar learning what wild edibles could be as valuable one day soon
Lots of mushrooms around here idk them so I don’t touch like you said
Awesome looking forward to it
Much love Les
I love the work that both of you are doing this is a great show
This episode was so awesome. Those plants grow all over here in Idaho
Love the music..food looks delicious
I live and grew up in the Okanagan, Kelowna to be specific. I recognized the landscape you were in immediately and was excited when I saw you using certain plants that I see on everyday hikes. It was pretty much confirmed you were in my region when you ended up at the Burrowing Owl winery and said you were in wine country in the west lol.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I'll definitely have to experiment with the Balsamroot this year!
Great episode.
Exactly what I want to learn more about ;) Scenery looks gorgeous
Wow! I had no idea you have this channel, Les! I have Balsamroot growing on my property. I knew the root was good for your health but didn't know how to harvest or prepare it for consumption. I will have to give it a try now that I know what to do. My Dad was a restaurateur for 24 years, taught me how to cook and now that I've been on Keto for 5 years, learned a whole new way of cooking. Thanks so much for providing inspiration for me! I look forward to the adventure. 😁
Les, Love all your Survivorman shows, have seasons one-3 on DVD, from long ago; and they were the best in season one, and like all franchises "got worse" as the "production values", from network egg heads who interfered in the shows, "got better". Happened to all my favorite shows starting with Star Trek!
So, speaking of wild harvests, I only eat black berries, I know them well, having spent time in college in NW CA, in 70's, where they are a "weed", being so abundant everywhere. Ate a blue grouse once there too, a friend shot, it was the best "chicken" I have had, roasted and so juicy. But I took a lot of botany in college for my wildlife biology and environmental studies degrees, and you are right in season one episode one as you ate that alleged shaggy mane mushroom, about identifying all wild gathered mushrooms, in general; "If you're wrong,...you're dead!!", as you so wisely said then! LOL ;D
Nice to see all your good stuff on YT, can watch on my big screens now!! :D
Great first episode, this may be addressed already as I haven't yet dug into the rest of the series, but I suggest a couple minute section in detailing identification techniques and dangerous lookalikes for the edible wild plants you're using. Thanks for the excellent content!
Thank you! thank you! thank you, for doing an episode in the Columbia basin on Balsam Root. I haved loved your show but have lived worked and played in Idaho my whole life. I’ve know about the palatability of Balsam Root but had no idea how to try and approach preparing this wild edible.
I’d love to see an episode where you incorporate wild cucumber
In the spring here we have a bumper crop of balsamroot. I have eaten balsamroot before, but I am not that good at cooking. I will try to cook it this way this spring.
Season 2 is finally here! Can't wait for the bear raid that was shown in the trailer.
This is brilliant. Thank you so much for doing this! I've foraged sage brush before, but I didn't know that basalmroot was edible!
Do more of this i like and enjoyed this type of videos
these are so good
We need this bro
If you are a human being you should enjoy this series.
I’ve been through this area quite a few times above the oxbows in osoyoos. Beautiful spot! Funny enough I’ve come across the native species of scorpion in that area as well! They are known as the northern scorpion(paruroctonus boreus), the northern most scorpion found in North America. Would have made for a nice crunchy appetizer for the dish… 🦂
Les is the GOAT 🐐. Also, has anyone ever told you how much you look like David Ross? If you don't know who that is off chance he's the manager of the Chicago Cubs 🤙
Love the Survivorman, he's the Real Deal!
Your2Allss Stuff bangs⚡👍
Wow
Not one time did he say…..goood god damn chef! This tastes GREAT!……I almost feel bad for such a great chef not getting praised
A perfect start to the weekend! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Love this series
Can’t wait to watch all of these.
Can't wait! Thank you!
