I know a guy that worked on the show in the late 90's (he also worked on the show Forensic Files). He said that the camera operators would train regularly. The crew had to be able to carry a 15lb camera while wearing a bullet resistant vest. One thing that I found interesting was that the show would regularly lose their camera crew and have to replace them. These crews would shoot with an officer for 2 to 3 weeks straight just to get enough interesting scenes to put together 15 or 20 mins of content. They would get to know the officers well and found the work exciting and would quit to join a dept. Another interesting fact, early on in the show a Female Deputy fell in love and married the producer of COPS ultimately quitting her job.
In the first clip, after the dog got the guy in the woods. The perp was cuffed and taken away. Then the cops start looking at his blue car. The threat was over yet the cops leave their cars right in the middle of the road for who knows how long ... They do this type of crap ALL the time. They kept shouting at the guy to roll over but he couldnt because the dog kept pulling him back by the arm lmao
They do that on purpose
Man... My supervisor would write me up so fast after seeing me looking in a bag without gloves...
Wow... you know it's a flashback when there's a legit Blockbuster in the background. 😮
1999
That's a good dog. He was 5 feet from the officers 🤣 🤣 🤣 wow
I hope that guy was up to date on his shots. Be a shame if the dog caught something from him. 🤪
😂😂
Doggon made fast work of that search.
Love police and military dog! So good at job and happy at good job done! They can be doing so smart and brave things police force or soldiers can not do alone. Pray they are always being safe! 🥰
😂
you’re wrong for making me laugh rn 😂😂😂
Those K9s...just awesome!
love it, the dog nailed him in seconds
Felt bad for that little girl, having to try to wake up her drunk grandpa. She was so brave too with the police. Heartwarming, but heartbreaking simultaneously.
The guys trying to take the dog……I know the southern accent doesn’t mean people are stupid but those 3 guys sure make it seem like it does.
Poor dog is better off at the pound then with these three.
@@MarySmith-bc7mfthey’re probably teaching that dog to fight 😓
That dog kicks ass! What a good dog
19:00 so nostalgic. Movies will never be the same.
I said the same thing. 😂
For those that don’t want to skip ahead it’s just a background shot of a Blockbuster Video
My favorite show these days is on Patrol live on Reels on Friday night and Saturday night as it's done in live in different counties live.
God bless the COPS.... I miss the show greatly ..
It's a strange thing that ppl are social creatures and need each other to survive but yet they seem not to be able to get along it's kind of a mind-blowing thing if you think about it
We don’t need each other always
47:20 I understand giving a little leniency towards someone with 1 petty warrant, but 13!? And your license is suspended!? Come on lady😂
She’s a prize, she said I don’t have a license cause I just got a new job. How in the heck is she not in prison with 13 warrants? And she said she has kid’s. Omg those poor kid’s check on them
13 warrants!?
You have to work at it long and hard to accumulate that many!
The point I took away from this and found in my own time in patrol is that petty issues like dimming headlights can balloon into important arrests very often. This is one of the big reasons why law enforcement shouldn't ignore the petty infractions.
It always amazes me when people think they can run from a dog the dog is going to find you
Right?! I used to train Working Dogs and K9s and there are no slackers graduating. Plus, all those cops can get more help with a radio. Save your energy; don't run. One less charge.
Screw with the dog's head by calling it to you when lying down.
Plus cops get much MUCH more "active" if they see you just trying to harm the dog...
I'm nervous just watching this. Guys please becareful
I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday night and or day ✌🏻
My hometown Indianapolis Indiana where I was born and raised in the early 2000s and also I was in my mom's womb in 1999
I'd be embarrassed to admit that
1999? I was in your mamma womb as well. All up in that.
You just sound like a bot bro wtf lol
What
@@hashpling 😡😡😡😡😡
How bad is your neighborhood when someone steals your stolen motorcycle.
And what about the neighbourhood, with the high rate of syphillis. That’s bad.
I like the dispacher's "10-4" after the "criminal apprehension by K9" in the first clip, lol
1080p finally. Thank-you. I love this show.
The grandpa and grandkid story is so sad 😢
54:50 "here are cigars and on the streets they call these blunts" 🤣 lmao the 1990's were wild
“Lookin’ like a fool with your pants on the ground”
lol the cameraman is amazing! I wonder when he applied for that job part of the requisite was to be in shape. LMAO.
Nothing like hitting a dab and watching cops.
Lady just slaps the cops arm to get his attention and he was like oh hell nah lol 😂 36:23
Like I was like wtf totally has a fit from a little swat on the arm because she was trying to get his attention and show him how her boyfriend acts
I definitely didn't care for the way the officer responded.. We are supposed to see officers as humans and people just like us doing their job. Therefore if there people just like us we should be able to tap their arm and get their attention just like we would anyone else we were talking to in a heated discussion.
You don’t touch an officer no matter what, too much going on they don’t need to be distracted.
@Mary Smith then they should never touch anyone else and expect there not to be consequences. That cop was a punk
